Just bought a strat and case. Cannot fault the service. It was exemplary, and next day delivery too. Cannot rate highly enough.

Musicians! We're a demanding lot and when we want some new gear we get excited and want it now! After a dreadful experience buying from another music store I am happy to say I have nothing but praise for Andertons. They have given excellent advise over the phone when I'm trying to make decisions about those all important purchases, never trying to sell me the most expensive items, but suggesting things that based on my requirements have turned out to be perfect. Items have arrived really fast, often in less than 24hrs, with free delivery from stock housed in their UK based premises. Their website is clear and easy to use and they offer a great range of products. I had a question about an item that the Andertons rep didn't immediately know the answer to, so he said he'd call me back. When Andertons say they are going to call you back with info about a product, they do just that - 10 minutes later I had all I needed to complete the purchase. Online orders have email updates to keep you informed.
Andertons are doing it right for me and for musicians.

Really let down by 'Andertons' who promised a definitive delivery date for an item needed for a gig (and ordered well before actual day and which I could have collected from 'Andertons' or ordered elsewhere). When it didn't turn up on the promised delivery date I was informed there had been a glitch in a system and that the order hadn't even been dispatched. What a load of tosh.
So here I am angry, disappointed and left high and dry with nothing but an insincere mumbled apology. 'Andertons' seem to have lost their way. Time to shop elsewhere I think.

Ordered a guitar amp which arrived within 24 hours. Unfortunately there was a fault on the product but andertons were really responsive and organised for collection and exchange of the faulty item by the next day. 10/10 service. Really happy with all my dealings with them and would recommend to others.

Ordered an amp late afternoon the day before yesterday. It arrived this morning. Perfect condition, well packed, great price. What more could I ask for!

I ordered a pair of Neumann KH120A Studio monitors from Anderton's on-line system which were being sold as new. The order was placed on Wednesday 28th September and it was due to be delivered on the following day. Instead, I received an email from them which stated that they only had one new one (available on line) and another 'B' unit, which had been on display in their shop.
I phoned them and asked if they were willing to offer a discount on the displayed item and they refused. I then told the man that I wish to cancel the order and subsequently received an email which stated that 'a refund had been requested and that their accounts department would confirm the refund.
The following day, I still had not received the confirmation of the refund and I therefore phoned them again to chase them up. After keeping me waiting for some time I was told that he could arrange for an immediate refund. I did in fact get an email later in the day to confirm that they had issued the refund.
I was left with the impression that this company was somewhat chaotic and disorganised - How can you advertise new products that you do not have?!
Although I have used this compamy many times in the past (and it used to be good) , I can no longer recommend it!

Last thursday I ordered a great guitar from Andertons. They held a summer sale and had a fantastic guitar-i was looking for-deal. As the UK is now not in the EU anymore and they send out worldwide UK VAT is extracted and I had to pay Dutch BTW (VAT) trough DHL Express. The whole proces went flawless. A Hassle-free process with lots of process updates trough email/online ( i did'nt expect it would go that easy) Within 5 days (the weekend was in between) I am now playing on this great instrument and saved me 110 Euro's including transport and BTW. If i had bought it here or in Germany. The guitar arrived very well-packed and when unboxing it was in perfect, almost tuned condition. Will buy from them again I guess. It was an exellent experience!

Brilliant experience. Really nice staff. Very polite and helpful on the phone. Rode M5 and Zoom H5 all arrived next day all well packed.

TUESDAY:
£420 TASCAM DIGITAL PORTASTUDIO ARRIVED WITH OBVIOUS IMPACT DAMAGE TO INNER (AND OUTER PACKAGING.)

THURSDAY:
THEY SENT A REPLACEMENT. IT ALSO ARRIVED IN AN IMPACT DAMAGED BOX THAT HAD BEEN TAPED UP.

SATURDAY: I DROVE FROM DORSET TO SURREY, TO RETURN IT AND GET A REFUND.

ANDERTONS SAID: "WE HAVE PERFECT ONE HERE, IN THE SHOP IF YOU WOULD LIKE IT"

I SAID: "WHY DIDN'T YOU SEND IT TO ME ON TUESDAY OR THURSDAY?... NO THANK YOU, I'VE JUST HAD 5 DAYS OF WORRY BECAUSE OF THIS NONSENSE. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK"

I HAD BEEN A CUSTOMER AT ANDERTONS FOR OVER 20 YEARS, BUT THEY WEREN'T BOTHERED!

I THINK MR ANDERTON NEEDS TO GO AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON IN HIS WAREHOUSE, BECAUSE THIS IS DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Really great service, answered the phones and were willing to help. Granted I am not musical so cannot speak to their expertise, however they offered their time freely to assist and I will definitely buy from them rather than shopping for the cheapest. Quality service thanks

Unimpressive service, unimpressive set up on new guitar. Hardly the level they claim to be. Will be shopping at GuitarGuitar from now on.

Andertons a re a bit more expensive than some online stores - But they are reliable and ship for the next day.
On occasion there might be a fault with an item but it always gets rectified with no issues.
Judge a business not by how they are when everything works perfectly but by how they behave when everything goes tits up.
I have confidence that any porblem will get sorted.

I'm a stereotypical midlife-crisis beginner in my early 50s, so I was a little wary (and a bit embarrassed) to go to their shop in Guildford. I had nothing to worry about. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who made me feel right at home. Not pushy in the least when it came to selling items. I went in thinking of buying another electric, my first being a disappointment (bought elsewhere), but was advised that my current electro acoustic amp was almost certainly the issue. I bought an amp, it was delivered fast and is perfect. Now I only sound as though I'm strangling a cat half the time I play 🙂 If you're unsure - I urge you, go! I'll be shopping there again as soon as wifey says I can 😁

After being told that the guitar I wanted (in the colour I wanted) would take up to 4 months to get in stock by my local guitar shop I ordered for the first time from Andertons.
It was easy and quick. I ordered Tuesday afternoon and the guitar arrived Thursday morning in perfect condition.

I just purchased a really cheap electric (East Coast) Strat copy from Andertons, the service was first rate, updated on the status of delivery and this morning it arrived. I wasn't expecting much as it was a very cheap instrument and it was to be used as a casual anyone can play it rather than pick up one of my expensive guitars and have me worry about them damaging it. To say i was blown away is an understatement! The guitar was instantly playable after a quick tune it was totally awesome, how anyone can make a guitar that good for so little money is beyond me. Great action, fantastic range of tones , well made, easily playable the only downside is that it makes some of my more expensive guitars seem overpriced. Thank you.

Ordered a Loci Bundl5 from them. This doesn't even appear on the manufacturers website, although Loci do have 1 video on youtube about it. It's not on any of the competitors. Listed as a special order item I was expecting a longer wait but even with Christmas and New year in the way they have managed to get it from their supplier to me in 2 weeks, impressive. Great communication from Andertons to let me know when they were expecting the item in and when the item was shipped by DPD who themselves changed their mind on delivering Monday and are delivering today instead, result.

Went to the shop in Guildford - what a fantastic retail experience!

I wanted some speakers to go with a keyboard I already have. Friendly, helpful, non pushy staff set up the items I wanted to try then left me to myself, popping back in now and again to just to check if I needed anything.

I couldn't find what I needed but, the staff didn't pressure me in any way to purchase.

The prices from the retail (and online shop) on the lines I was looking at are also amongst the cheapest around!

Would highly recommend a visit to the shop if you can. If I can find what I want, will certainly buy from Andertons.
