Enjoyed ordering off the website. My daughter really wanted a djembe as a gift, and I wasn't sure about just which drum would be best for her. The videos you had embedded on the site, talking about the different size djembes and how to fit a drum properly, hearing how each sounds when played, and the tuning of the drums was REALLY helpful. I was happy to purchase.

However, almost two days AFTER placing the order, I received an email requesting an ADDITIONAL shipping charge to get my order to Alaska. Based on the dimensions and the weight reported, I found that USPS 3-day shipping would total out to roughly both what was originally quoted during purchase plus the additional charge requested after the sale. I paid the additional shipping, but will be watching the shipping to see if I receive my order in the 3 day expected window.

Adding shipping costs after the purchase feels to the consumer like a scam. My feeling is that most would not research the rates to verify, they might just cancel an order. I would encourage X8 to make sure the website is accurately charging shipping the first time.

Finally, if you are going to offer free shipping, offer it to ALL states, not just the contiguous states. My research found that shipping via USPS to Maine costs as much as shipping to me in Alaska, but if I lived in Maine and purchased the djembe that I did, I would have received free shipping. USPS ships priority mail based on size and weight, regardless of whether I live in Alaska. Hopefully, the quality of the product will outweigh my displeasure with X8's shipping practices.

I've now purchased almost a dozen of the X8 videos. Everything from different djembe styles to bongos to hand percussion and, now, congas. I recommend these videos to whoever needs either a primer or refresher on these instruments. Thumbs up!

I really enjoyed the website and the descriptions given were helpful. However when I chose to sign up for the 6 month payment plan through paypal I was shocked that I was suddenly charged the full amount. It is also incredibly difficult to figure out how to contact someone about the issue with little solution,my card was charged right away. Thank goodness I didn't really need the payment plan??

I found X8 drums through a search on the internet. After reviewing several other music sites and comparing prices and products, I decided X8 drums had exactly what I was looking for. I think the prices are great and the website was very user friendly. I wanted to get a drum box without making a big financial investment. The mini cajon at X8 drums was just what I was looking for.

Sales agent called me immediately after my online ordet that my item would not make it byxmass. He quickly upgraded me and sent the djambe kit out asap. Cant wait to see my sons eyes abd hear the awesr music!

I got some cad cad shakers and there working pretty well. the shakers are a little big and the string for my hands was a little too short. I made some modification and it works good. They haven't come apart like some others i've bought.;-(
