Cost Plus World Market has the worst customer service. When the store cant assist they take the easy way out and direct you to the main customer service lines where you have to wait for 45 minutes for them to come on and tell you their system is down. What kind of business are they running here??? Why did they not have a recorded message on their customer service line to let people know their systems are down...any company that values their customer based business would have a brain and be proactive rather than reactive. I hope they go down the toilet like some of these other retailers because they have zero clue on how to have an ounce of customer service. I'm sick of hearing Covid 19 is the continued excuse for the long wait times...its called poor performance by your employees. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT WORLD MARKET EVER AGAIN......BYE!!!

Ordered a canvas print came damaged. They resent 3 times all more damaged than the one before before I finally gave up

I sent a friend a gift- paid partially through a giftcard and the rest on my cc. They said they couldn’t accept and shipped it back. Simple online return right? Well cost plus confirms they received the full return but this is where things go haywire. It took 3 months and a couple of chats to receive the giftcard value back- if I hadn’t checked, that would have never been received. The amount on the credit card was incorrect and lower too. Terrible basic accounting practices and returns. So simple and yet so much missed. I suggest never buying a giftcard there and if you receive one and use it, and end up returning something, monitor your return amounts. Funds just disappear with this company! They just can’t get basic business processes down. They finally refunded the giftcard amount but did it in two batches- one to my original gift recipient and a some to me- seriously no rhyme or reason, it was really frustrating!

I regret ever purchasing from this company. I purchased a daybed, received a schedule delivery date and no one ever showed up. two weeks after the scheduled delivery dated they said they attempted to delivery but was unsuccessful so they returned it back to the warehouse. I called customer service for a refund on a bed I have paid for and they cannotgive me a refund. It has been nearly 2 months and I still do not have my nearly $600 I pay for a day bed. Every time I call I get a different answer this is so ridiculous. I purchased this bed in June.

I ordered outdoor furniture April 9, it was on backorder. Never heard anything, emailed, never any response, called multiple times. No help. Over a month of calling and chatting. No bench, sent the table back. Didn't want the table if I couldn't have the bench. They received my return May 26, it is July 14. Keep calling and chatting. They keep saying it's coming. Maybe one day. Just so you know. That chat feature doesn't work when you are logged in, seems to only be an option when you are not logged in.

It took many months to get the table I ordered, but when it finally arrived, we were happy with it.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered 2 chairs and a table on April 8 and have had nothing but problems since. First the table was out of stock. Next, the chairs were delivered separately; one was delivered at 1am and the other chair was delivered to our neighbor's house the next day. After putting one chair together, we opened the box and found the second chair damaged. No exchange was available so I opted to return both chairs. FedEx was supposed to pick up the chairs and never did. I requested labels and dropped the chairs at FedEx myself. (FedEx called to pick up the chairs 10 days later). The chairs arrived at World Market's warehouse on May 11. It is now June 25 and I have STILL not received a refund. I was first told to wait 15 business days. Then I was told to wait another 3-5 business days. UNREAL. I will NEVER order anything from here again.

Sent 1/2 items and now no response. Company isn’t good

This is honestly the worst company. I could throw up on how much I hate this company. I received my chairs damaged and I have yet not been able to get in touch with customer service. They are the absolute worst company out there.

My $160 dollar chair has a leg that is completely cracked all the way through. I JUST bought this from a world market that is closest to me ( One hour and half one way) . I get home, open the box, and it’s broke. I called my world market I just paid and drove to and the manager mike did not care. He said “ well you can drive back and I’ll give you a refund” like are you going to pay for my gas too mike?

this company is terrible with refunds i bought chairs with them on 3/29/20 threw a company called afterpay the chairs came with no problems but had to return was to small so the nightmare starts sent them back threw fedex waited then called back and they couldnt find one chair after each time you call you wait at least a hour or more then third call they process the refund but when i got it was only half again back on the phone two hour its now 5/25/20 so at this time still saying they couldnt find other chair but issued a full refund its 06/1/20 and now i have to wait 15days to process the other half people dont purchase from afterpay or worldmarket whole these kinda places accountable im not dealing with neither one again service is ridiculous

I bought my items 9 days ago and still haven't received shipping confirmation, which I know means it hasn't been processed or shipped yet. I understand that there's a shipping delay, and I'm fine with that, but there's no way to get in touch with them to even find out what's going on. I'm looking on their website, and I don't see Live Chat offered anywhere, even though they emailed me saying they offer that. Am I missing something? Also, I've been on hold for well over 45 minutes three times now, and still haven't gotten through to them, yet they stated in their email that they've "tripled call capacity at our customer service center." In addition, they may have "added new shipping partners to expedite orders," but this can't possibly be true. Such false advertising!

Terrible customer service. No response to emails or chats, and calling has never been less than a 90 minute wait. When I did finally get someone on the phone, she seemed confused and uncertain and quickly passed the buck to AfterPay. AfterPay customer service was a very short wait, they had all my details up in moments, walked me through the process very professionally, and the only confusion was that refund questions are typically handled directly with the merchant. She also said that it was clear from my order info in their system, World Market was definitely quite short on the amount they reported for the refund- which should have been over $300, but was listed as $0.04. I am currently back on hold with World Market...11 minutes down, at least 90 to go.

My order was Placed on April 15th.. They still have not shipped and no one will answer the phone after hours on hold. Emails never go answered even though they say will be answered in 24-48 hours. I have sent 10. I got the BBB involved to get my money back. Horrible company and even worse customer service. Buyer beware

I had a negative experience with one of their products, and attempted to write a less-than-flattering review, but their website blocked it for an unspecified reason.

Online shopping made easy. Few companies do it as good as world market. Extremely impressed with both accountability, delivery, and product packaging. In store pickup also works when necessary. Here's to 2020 for Cost PLus

So disappointed in such a large company lacking any integrity and stealing from small businesses, do not shop here, support artists.

Except for a few things we couldn't find (lavender candies and mix-in thai tea mix) we tracked down our old favorites (sweet Maui onion rings, white rabbit candies, Kinder chocolate, ramune soda, chocolate-covered marzipan, lychee gummy candies, and fancy ramen) and even made some new ones! We love the food section, and how everything is shelf-stable (until opening); this is really helpful when you're on a road trip like we are! Most chocolate runs on the expensive side, but they tend to be fair trade/organic. Other than that, I was a little shocked at the re-organization of the food section (mostly including the chocolates). I haven't been there for about a year or two so the change shocked me!

My whole family loves this store, amazing food items, artwork, soaps, furniture, home décor and cooking items. They have all sorts for food items, beverages, wines, beers and sweets that are imported from other countries. I love buying good quality spices, teas, coffee, sweets, jewelry and gifts here. My favorites are German, Canadian, British and Japanese candy, German cookies, eastern spices, Wild Rose tea, chocolate chai, scone mixes, vintage soda pops & beers, Asian & Italian cooking, unique jewelry and artwork, kitchen kick knacks...these are many of the thing I've bought from this store and loved them all.
