Wicks - it may need more than glue to fix it.

Avoid! I have used Wicks for over ten years. My recent experience is of a company in chaos. I ordered eight items ranging from decking, paving, wood and plumbing parts. I had chosen today as the delivery date and arranged to be in to deal with the delivery. I got an email yesterday informing me the order was arriving soon and also two texts telling me delivery would be between 7:00 and 13:00 today. Only the paving arrived.

I phoned, when the other items didn’t arrive to ask when they would be coming. I was told that the system showed that the delivery had first been postponed until tomorrow, then someone in Wicks just cancelled my order! I wasn’t told of the postponement or cancellation The items are still shown as being in stock.

As advised by a Customer Service Agent, I used the Wicks online form the ask what was going on. I got an automated email informing me that the system that deals with customer questions is down.

I have wasted time waiting a week for the parts to arrive. Today, I have wasted time waiting for the delivery when Wicks knew they had cancelled seven of the eight items I ordered. Why not let me know?
Someone within Wicks management needs to manage, my experience is that Wicks is falling apart.

Having placed an order a week ago thay delivered part of the order Got in touch with them twice On both occasions thay said thay get back in Touch with me still have not got back to me Absolutely disgusting customer services Such a big company and don't give a damn

I ordered 8 Garden fence on Sunday 31/1/2022
I saw the item online and thought they looked impressive
When the product finally arrived it did not looked at all like the picture. It was dirty, rough and old. Poor quality
I was very disappointed and obviously I asked for a refund. Their courier picked the items up on the 1/2/2022
I was told that I would receive a refund but I’m still awaiting
On 2 Occasions they have asked for photos of the
Product which I have sent
I’ve twice got a message saying they are experiencing problems with the website so my complaint on line could not be dealt with.
This is so Frustrating
I won’t be using them again
What a Nightmare
Horrendous customer service
They’ve got their products back
I haven’t been refunded yet.
What a waste of time.

Excellent…

We had our kitchen installed in November. we found the delivery guys very efficient and polite. Trevor designed our kitchen and it has turned out pretty much perfect. Trevor was very helpful as we had never had to have a new kitchen before.
Our installer was Steve. Steve was very trustworthy and very pleasant to have in our house for 2 weeks. He was very professional and a perfectionist in his work. our kitchen has turned out to be amazing and works so well for our needs.
We would definitely recommend Wickes to anybody.

Is this company serious

Is this company serious! Four weeks ago placed order it didn’t arrive been chasing for a refund for two week now and to find out they are trying to charge the delivery cost for an order that has not arrived and been lost in transit! Getting more and more frustrated with this company now! Can the ceo give me my money back PLEASE!

Avoid wicks at all costs for a new kitchen

Avoid wicks at all costs!! They lie. They take your money. Tell you 6 weeks for installation of a kitchen. When they send someone to measure the kitchen they send an idiot that can not use a tape measure!! Fast forward to the 6 week installation which turns into 4 months. Then 2 days before they cancel your installation and tell you we can fit you in for installation in another 5 months.
So we then found our own fantastic installation team. That arrived when they said they would.
A lot of the units arrived either damaged or the wrong size.
Customer service is absolutely rubbish that pass you back to the store. Who pass you back to customer service
I will never shop in wicks again.
I wish I had read the reviews on wicks before I handed over my money.

Appalling customer service

I bought a Wicks kitchen in 2020. 3 months after it was fitted the composite worktop started chipping along the edges. I informed Wicks immediately expecting them to replace the worktops but I was told it was wear and tear and not covered in the warranty, after just 3months!!!!
I was so upset, after spending £11000 to have our kitchen designed and fitted it was slowly falling apart. Now 18 months later the chips are unsightly and ruining the kitchen, just to have the chips repaired I’ve been quoted £280 by two separate companies, but that won’t stop more chips appearing.
Wicks customer service were rude and unapologetic, blaming the quality of the worktops on Sheridans, the suppliers of the worktop. Sheridans did offer to replace the worktop but the tradesman they sent made sure I understood that ripping the worktops out would damage all the new plastering on the walls, my new splash back for the kitchen would likely be broken and they wouldn’t be liable for the cost to repair them…..basically a scare tactic.
Wicks don’t sell the worktop anymore, even though they told me they had never had any complaints about it???
I will never buy anything from Wicks or Sheridans again.

Kitchen project purchase and fitted

We used Wicks at Ringwood Road, Bournemouth, Dorset and we were delighted with the project from start to finish. We have compared prices with 4 other suppliers including B&Q, Wren and Halfords but Wicks came up with the best price for what we were looking for and we also preferred their design advice. The fitters and the electrician were brilliant and were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We did have a problem with a couple of the doors being damaged but that was down to the delivery people so I would suggest that Wicks look at their delivery options as it did waste a bit of time, having said this the Manager Mark James was brilliant and rearranged alternative parts to be delivered. With any refurbishment project there are bound to be hiccups, but a true test of the supplier is the ability to resolve any issues as soon as possible and Mark certainly did that, even making provision to help while he was on annual leave. A big thank you and thanks for my wonderful kitchen!!!!

They do not listen in the event of a…

They do not listen in the event of a problem with an online order.

There customer service centre do not look after a complaint properly and no one takes ownership of a query so every person starts from the beginning and doesnt read the notes properly.

I am currently two months in to a problem with an online order and damage to £750s worth of items that I purchased. The damage was made in transit.

I will not be using them for any orders going forward. You can tell how good a company is by how they look after their customers. And they don’t!

Had bathroom done paid a lot of money, toilet broke and panel on bath and been making a complaint to a manager any who has the customer service advisors putting the phone down and raising their voices I wouldn't recommend this vomoany and I will write a review everyday until this is dealt with and I get a call back as this is disgusting order number 811172

Bathroom renovations

We recently had 2 bathrooms renovated. Karen in the cheltenham branch helped me design my dream bathroom, nothing was too much trouble and she was happy to listen to my ideas, make suggestions and tweak the plans until it was perfect, and all during locking when I wasn’t able to visit the showroom!
I was regularly kept up to date with the delivery of items, a couple of things were out of stock for the original delivery date but updates were sent, and delivery made in good time.
Simon completely renovated my bathrooms, including building work to an exceptional standard, nothing was too much trouble, he was friendly and polite and very knowledgeable.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again, We are very happy with the work that has been carried out.

Really disappointed with Wicks

Really disappointed with Wicks. I thought they had improved after I'd purchased my daughters kitchen from them last year, but no, still poor. We have been informed that the corniss is out of stock after the incorrect colour was initially delivered and gave us a delivery date of 29.7.21 but did not arrive and no notification that they couldn't deliver. Wicks informed us they cannot offer a delivery date for outstanding cornish.
If you purchase from Wicks be prepared for disappintment-never again will I consider a Wicks kitchen.

We have just spent 800 pounds at wicks which i have saved ,went on line brought goods for a new bathroom somethings arrived, then we took time off work to be home for delivery of 14 boxes 266 kg of wall tiles and they sent us a lawn mower,the customer service just didnt want to know about our situation, we kept getting told ring store ,we rung store to be told ,they are not allowed to ring customer service ,which we found very strange.we rung customer service again to be told they couldnt help us because they have had a busy day which was stressful to them ,asked at customer service to speak to manager, still waiting for call ,and also cant find where the tiles ,no conformation for delivery still ,after my husband spent 5 hours yesterday on the phone,customer service for wick are rude and useless,but enjoy taking peoples money they have worked hard to get .so if you would like a lawn mower on your bathroom wall visit wicks .

Absolutely awful experience with a…

Absolutely awful experience with a staff member at Pontefract Wicks yesterday and will not be going back. I was widowed recently so I have now to go and buy things that my late husband would usually have done. I honestly expected that the staff at Wicks would be helpful. But, I'm afraid I was let down completely. Ignorant, arrogant, lazy, uninterested and completely unhelpful to say the least. I felt so belittled and stupid, it was downright awful. Sorry Wicks but you need to train your staff to help people and up your game. It was utterly disgraceful.
