Kitchen quality good, wait for the specials, we had 50% off white goods, work tops and install, BEWARE of the hidden costs ie sockets, gas install, especially the electric fuse board you’ll be expected to agree and install one approx 1k before any work starts,
Aftercare is a bit like house/car insurance any excuse not to do - I would call “defects”
Importance of working with experienced designer.
We bought units, sink, worktops etc for a utilty room that was to be part of our garage conversion. We thought we had in mind all we would need. but Joanne Nicklessfrom your Tamworth store worked with us to help design it even better making sure we added all the little extra to make it even better. It took some while to have the garage converted and the utility room finished but now it looks great. Thank you, Joanne, so much.
10 months since instillation...
I have left my review until after my worktop got a scratch. I had my kitchen planned and installed by Wickes at the end of September last year (2024). I went to their Widnes branch and the lovely Lyndsey Matthews designed my kitchen and oversaw the instillation. She was so professional and listened to me witter on and put all my thoughts into her design. She recommended things I had not even considered but I am so glad I trusted her. My kitchen is perfect for me.
Kevin Bingham was appointed as my installer and he was brilliant. He was very respectful of my home and he and his partners worked so hard to get everything just right.
There were a couple of problems, mostly with the appliances but Lyndsey and Kevin sorted them very quickly.
As mentioned earlier, I scratched my worktop last week but the kit left with me took the scratch out in about 10 minutes and it is no longer noticeable.
I had Camden units and Minerva Carrara worktops and splashbacks. The units and worktops are easy to clean with a microfibre cloth and Cif .
I really cannot find fault and have no hesitation in recommending the Widnes branch and Lyndsey in particular along with the very talented Kevin Bingham.
Kitchen design
We recently began a kitchen renovation project and had an at-home consultation with Charmaine from the Christchurch store. From the outset, she took the time to really understand our likes, dislikes, and what we hoped to achieve with our new kitchen.
Together, we’ve created an amazing kitchen plan that we’re genuinely excited about. Charmaine has been incredibly helpful throughout the process, especially as we made several changes along the way.
We're now eagerly awaiting delivery and can't wait to see it all come together. Thank you, Charmaine, for your support and expertise so far – it’s been a pleasure working with you!

WICKES DELIVERED ME A SINK BROKEN , I CONTACTED THEM 4 FOUR TIMES TO ENQUIRED TO REPLACED, THEY WAS KEEPING ME ON THE FONR 30-40 MIN EVERY TIME , AND STILL NOT DELIVRED ME THE RIGHT ONE .
Have people worked for me waiting for the new sing to fixed for 7ndays never arrived . Very disappointed . No one cared about customer service .
Ridiculous Service from Wickes…
We purchased a kitchen from Wickes using the online ordering. 18 months on the tap ceased up. Kitchen taps are fundamental to daily life, so we got a new one and replaced it.
We took the faulty tap back to Wickes along with the invoice/guarantee. The store assistant advised that "nothing to do with us, online have their own team to deal with returns, they have more staff and more money than we do, you'll have to deal with them. They might as well be another company ". So we called customer services, after being passed around a couple of times, we were put on hold for 26 minutes before giving up.
So I used the customer service contact form and attached the invoice. A week later, I got a response asking me to send the order/invoice number, my name and address. They also need a video of the tap before it was removed from the sink, to show it wasn't working.
This wasn't a £200+ tap btw. It was £28. I guess I'll accept I lost out on this one, but needless to say. I'll never return to Wickes.
Something isn't right there Wickes management, look at you policies and your staff.
Wicks, Hertford…awful customer service
Iv given this 1 x star as with consistency they fail dreadfully with customer service. Over the weekend I contacted there customer service department to make a complaint. Lazy and rude staff . This was in relation to the headphones they communicate with. Clearly making rude comments about customers, laughing , thinking customers couldn't interpret childish behaviour.
My reply from customer services was sympathetic however i would expect a contact from the branch management. Nothing.
Further visit to day ( last time I'm going back there) sales assistant looked blankly at me when i enquired about garage floor paint "never heard of it"
No effort to help or find out where I might find it.

Would give minus points if I could, no wonder there are so many bad reviews. Went to Wickes Reading this evening and beyond appalled. My elderly widowed 85 year old father brought a £10 tub of cement instead of mortar and couldn't find his receipt and just wanted to exchange. Asked someone in the shop, immediately said I can't help, asked at the till and the person immediately said you can't because you haven't got a receipt and I stood there and said you can and he was rude, asked someone else and they said they need to know what day he came in and he couldn't remember. Humiliated my father twice over a £10 tub of mortar. Really, I mean REALLY!!!!!! If an 85 year old can walk out with a tub of mortar without paying then Wickes is in serious trouble. All the money spent there over the years, will be boycotting and telling everyone about our experience. Unbelievable, Wickes you should be ashamed, I wonder how you would feel if someone humiliated your elderly father. I will raising a formal complaint!

Wish I’d read the reviews before I ordered Monday for delivery Wednesday I was told that there was no one in then I was told they couldn’t find it then rescheduled for Friday didn’t arrive told it was guaranteed to be delivered that day phoned the courier they said it was not scheduled for delivery phoned Wickes they blatantly lied and told me the van had broken down

Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless, buy online from Amazon.
Waited in all day on a number of occasions for an item to be delivered and courier failed to turn up. I cancelled the item and over two weeks later the courier has lot the item and Wickes are refusing to refund me ubtil the courier located and returns the item that I have never received. Bonkers!

What a crap company with appalling customer service.
My customer ordered a kitchen well in advance of start dates, only to have a comedy of errors.
Drivers getting told enroute to not deliver when customer waited in because items not even in van, dates never kept too, just a joke.

Poor customer service
We got our bathroom done by Wickes, and it was a stressful and disappointing experience from start to finish. An engineer gave us a quote, but once work began, unexpected charges kept piling up—eventually costing us £5,000 more than expected. When we contacted Wickes for answers, they had none, and the engineer became unreachable. The walk-in shower we requested was not wheelchair-friendly due to a 10 cm step. Measurements were wrong, work was incomplete, and customer service was unprofessional. A week later, the bathroom started leaking.
Don't risk your sanity.
If you read the reviews you might think 'I could be one of the lucky ones' but what if you are not? I wasn't. My bathroom instalation had to be completely replaced. My kitchen was flooded by the fitter. When they are selling they will say 'use our trusted fitters' when it all goes wrong they will say 'read the small print we aren't responsible for them'. They ruin lives. Just don't take the chance. Find a local trusted fitter and they will source what you need.
