They will give you an online quote and send out a van driver with know idea who will take photos and send to a valuer who will come back with an unrealistic price hopeing you will accept. Don't use and get ripped off.

Collection and valuation went smoothly, my bike was taken on 10/07/2026 and an email was given to me that payment would be made on 16/07/2026. Still no money.

I have since learned that SBF has gone into administration, which affects WBAB as they're part of the same company.

Before the website went down, I even saw that my motorcycle was up for sale yet I hadn't been paid.

Called WBAB a dozen times, the phoneline is now dead I presume as you don't even get the automated voice anymore.

They've since ceased trading, and you can only contact the email on their website which is the KR8 team currently working as their administrators.

Absolute worse time to sell my bike to them.

I was due to get paid last week. No payment as of yet, cant reach anyone on the phone. Superbike factory is under administration. Not sure if I will see my bike or money. Send me my money!

Good initial offer. Efficient visit from Brian Hughes who was honest and pleasant to deal with when examining the bike.
Absolutely pain free. Sorry to hear they have now gone into administration.

Have served a notice of intent. So what does that mean.

This what business do to stop creditors getting to their money and gives them time to rectify the issue and/or sell the company. In effect the first sep to administration. I have been told by the FCA Webuyanybike are not covered by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

WHAT TO DO?

08001448848. They will guide you through what to do

I followed the process this morning with the following adice:

Send a email setting out all dates and times including conversations you had who you had them with etc. keep all correspondence filed.

I sent a email stated the following:

I have taken legal advice on this matter and the following course of action is required:

Payment or return of motorbike if this is not completed within 14 days then a "letter before action" will be issued (They then have 14 days to reply to this)

I have also contacted DVLA to inform them.

Remember that the log book is not proof of ownership its proof of registration

Now this will look wrong at first. 1 star but a positive start to feedback.
So to my review;
initial contact no issue
Valuation no issue
Pick date no issue
Their assessment no issue full price.
At this point I spoke with the Macclesfield transport co ordination who took my details for payment. I had been made aware that there was a deferred payment email confirmed date and valuation total.
But this is where the issue started and continues.
No payment on date stated.
After 17 attempts to contact them by phone and holding on for over a hour and a half nothing. I emailed and there wasn’t even an acknowledgment of my email.
17th emailed again with no acknowledgment and eventually got through on the phone. I didn’t even have time to state why I was calling before the lady said is it about payment. She stated she would email finance (apparently even she couldn’t phone them let alone me) to find out why I hadn’t received payment. She indicated that she would call me back once she had the information as to why I’d not received my payment on time. This never happened. I called later but to there was no response.
This issue with not getting payment has totally undermined all the work they had done up to this point.
So now I have to wait till MON 20th before I can try and contact them again which I suspect will be met with with the same issues in contacting them.
NOW before you write off this as a winge given the times lines it not. I’m putting this out there so that you will be aware of the potential issues you may have.
To who ever reads this from we buy any bike/ superbike factory your professionalism up to the point of payment was 100 % such a pity you could not maintain a modicum of professionalism
through the most important aspect ;the payment process
Once I receive payment I will update this so you can see the delayed timelines incurred during this transaction.
UPDATE
So now I suspect I know why I haven’t been paid
SUPER BIKE FACTORY HAVE GONE INTO ADMINISTRATION the day after I should have been paid.

Selling my bike with we buy any bike was a pleasant and painless experience from start to finish.

Easy to arrange ,all sorted easily and efficiently

Very friendly and welcoming staff on both phone and collection, price seems very fair. Would be nice to have the quicker payment methods again but still a very good service

Very easy to deal with. Staff were excellent from start to finish. Price offered was good and following inspection of bike full amount offered. Only option for payment was 4 days referred which was fine and payment received as stated. Highly recommended.

Such a good and straight forward process. Was given a good price and, because I was accurate on the description they didn’t try to barter when they collected the bike. The guy who collected the bike was really great, very professional and honest.
Had to say goodbye to the bike for health reasons so not the happiest of days but the whole process made things a lot less painful.

The whole process from start to finish was very good.

I received a valuation from WBAB and accepted it as a reasonable price. The assessor was booked and, after a reschedule, he arrived spot on time. I received a rough time the day before which I was happy with. He explained the process, checked the bike and confirmed the quoted price. The paperwork was completed, I was sent a purchase confirmation email and notification of the cancelled road tax. On the whole a very easy process.
