We've looked into this and can confirm that the security deposit was released by the rental location on the morning after the vehicle was returned.
Once a deposit has been released, the time it takes for the funds to appear back in your account can vary depending on your bank or card provider's processing times.
If the funds have not yet appeared in your account, we would recommend contacting your bank or card provider, who will be able to provide an update on the status of the transaction.

Mini Break Rental
Booked a rental to go away for a few days as my car not big enough. Easy booked online.
Pick up was quick & straightforward,simple ID checks & Card Details verified then vehicle walk round to familiarise.
Beautiful immaculate car T-Roc ,fantastic to drive.
On return process was equally straightforward.
Can't thank Dominic enough for fantastic, friendly help & service. Nothing to much trouble & was helpful with any questions I had. Will 100% not go anywhere else now.

I have hired a car from VWFS Rent-a-Car Huddersfield twice within the same week, and the experience has been excellent both times. There is great flexibility, the cars are brand new, very clean, presentable, and always ready when needed.
Peter provides outstanding customer service. He is extremely hospitable, friendly, professional, and always goes above and beyond to make the rental process smooth and stress-free.
I would highly recommend VWFS Rent-a-Car Huddersfield, especially Peter, and I would definitely use them again.

Cornwall Trip 2026
Borrowed the VW California Ocean to go on a long weekend to Cornwall - service was exceptional and the vehicle was perfect - virtually brand new and came with all the camping essentials. Staff are all friendly and everything was ready on time. The paperwork and collecting/dropping off was very smooth. Thank you for a great experience!

The only downside is the £1000 deposit requirement, I believe this would be lower if you opted for extra insurance coverage on top of the basic requirements.
