Just don't buy a baby monitor from them.
We spent £160 on a baby monitor and just after the 12 month warranty period it stopped working.
It wasn't perfect during the 12 months but it worked ok.
Now though they could not care less that their product died. Not even engaging, not even suggesting how I might fix it. They obviously know that their products aren't built to last.
Ridiculous approach to customer service.
DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS.

My Vtech baby monitor was showing the room temperature as unusually warm. I noticed this was an ongoing issue in the first 2 months of buying it (not to mention it drops out a lot and loses signal).

I then purchased two other independent devices which showed the same temperature as one another, but the Vtech baby monitor was showing 3 degrees higher. I took photos and emailed Vtech asking for support on how to reset and recalibrate the temperature.

They said there was a fault and asked me to send it back at my own cost. After pushing them for better service they agreed to send a reply paid label, however it was very disappointing and poor of them to require everything back, including the box and not just the faulty part, and that I had to chase them numerous times to see if they had received it, and finally that they ordered a replacement but gave me a cheaper inferior model at half the cost of what I paid and with less functionality.

Stay away from this brand of camera monitors; terrible service that has left me without a monitor as I am still trying to resolve with them after over a month of back and forth. Not what anyone wants to experience while in the early newborn stage. Completely robotic responses and bad customer service.

I brought my Granddaughter a VTech smart watch as a present for starting school which she’s wears at the weekend unfortunately the screen has broken by accident and I emailed VTech customer service only for them to reply that screens are not covered by warranty and they don’t have the parts I called them as i wasn’t worried about it being under warranty as I was willing to
Pay just wanted to know where I could get it repaired.I have never been met with such a don’t care less attitude and I have been in customer services for a lot of years the thing is these items are not cheap so if you can’t get it repaired then you just have to disregard them

£160 baby monitor, actually the most crap thing I have ever purchased not only does it loose connection all the time not ideal when you trying to watch your baby! but it now has no night vision at all so cannot see her anyway now!

I understand places having a year Warranty but after 15 months a £160+ product completely not working and no assistance from the company is a joke.

Customer service is awful also they just cut you off completely when you try and explain that it has broken. Now having to have to buy a brand new one. Would not under any circumstances buy a vtech product if you can help it!!!

Bought a baby monitor for £160+ expecting it to be reliable and one of the best.
It’s been nothing but problematic! We’ve lost count how many times it’s lost connection, not something you want happening in the middle of the night whilst you’re asleep.
We’ve also noticed that on many many uses, it suddenly just stops reporting sound or motion. Again, literally the sole purpose of the product!
The latest issue we have is it not even turning on at all and a solid amber light on the camera so at this point I’ve given up and it’s going in the bin. I’ll never buy from this brand again.

Same unfortunate experience as the people below. Bought an almost £200 baby monitor and it stopped working. They made me send it in at my own expense, took ages to get back. Now demanding everything else is sent in when this wasn’t initially requested and refusing to help.

The WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced from the worst most uncaring rude people you can imagine. They should be ashamed of themselves. I really hope that the larger company look at the UK customer service team, looks like it’s time for the axe.

EDIT - It's 2 weeks on and they've stopped talking to me. I've sent my camera back (at my expense) and they said they'd ship a replacement. But now... nothing. No reply, no camera, no nothing. I phoned up and after 20 minutes on hold and was told they were in a meeting. Obviously more important than the safety of a baby.

Been using a Baby Monitor for only a few months and it's stopped connecting. I phoned them on Monday, and they were SO rude and curt on the phone, ZERO interest in the fact that a baby monitor wasn't working - shocking for a baby safety company! They just said to email.. the email on their website is for another company (!?) who clearly knew this as they gave me the correct one... Via email they were so unhelpful. It's now Wednesday and after constant pushing I have an address to send it back to. No timeline for a repair / replacement AND I have to pay for the return. All this time - no safety monitor on our baby, in a heatwave, and the company don't care. The monitor, when working, was fine, but for your baby's safety, don't buy VTECH.

£120 baby monitor not even a year old starts having problems. Just over a year old and camera won’t connect to parent unit. Customer service don’t care and make it clear they aren’t interested. Will never buy from vtech agai

Ik probeer al maanden!!!! een nieuwe stickerset te krijgen voor de vrolijke dierenboerderij, maar tevergeefs. De set is namelijk geleverd met de Amerikaanse stickers en wij hebben de Europese set. Dit staat ook als foutmelding op de website. Het is dus een bekend probleem. Ik bel elke week en heb meerdere keren een mail gestuurd naar de klantenservice. Nog steeds geen stickers. Het is naar mijn idee niet moeilijk om de stickers te sturen.

De Kidizoom Snap Touch die we aankochten werkt niet naar behoren, klantendienst doet absoluut geen moeite om naar een oplossing op zoek te gaan. De product specialist moest dit nakijken maar die was 2 weken met vakantie en daarna duurt het meestal nog 4 weken.. We kregen het advies om het product terug te sturen naar de winkel waar we het kochten. Probleem dus gewoon verleggen naar een ander in plaats van zelf een oplossing te bieden.. Slechte service en niet klantvriendelijk!

We are gifted a £200 baby monitor by a close family member which was supposed to be top of the range. The night setting was supposed to be in black and white or colour and has never worked in colour. The signal drops out regularly and the warning for this then wakes us up. Recently the monitor has started disconnecting from the camera for no reason, often in the middle of the night. The only way to cure this is to turn the camera off and on again which means entering the baby’s room, difficult to do without waking her. The function for connecting to a mobile phone has also stopped functioning entirely.
The monitor is less than a year old (baby just turned 1, and we only used it from when we moved her into her own room at 7 months). Unfortunately we don’t have a receipt as the family member who gave it to us passed away very suddenly a few weeks after giving it to us. We have no way of tracing when she bought it. Vtech are therefore refusing to do anything about it. The model was a recent release when it was bought so they should be able to use common sense that it doesn’t s less than a year old. Trying to deal with this has been very upsetting. A bit of compassion in these circumstances would not have gone amiss, especially so close to the anniversary of her death. This was an expensive monitor and I would expect it to work for longer than it has. Terrible product and worse customer service, I will never buy from them again.

Bought a baby monitor for £50 and it doesn’t work! Constantly dying within 10 minutes, needs to be on charge to ACTUALLY work. Contacted their support team who won’t repair or replace. An absolute waste of money and will never be buying from them again.

I bought rechargeable batteries online for cordless phone on Monday 13th February, 2023. I wanted them to cancel the order within an hour of purchase as there was no option to cancel online. But they refused saying they can’t do it. So I am not happy with them. They also announce wrong hours of operation on phone. Every time you call they say they are closed.

My vetch phone will not connect to my wifi. I have contacted the call centre to no avail. First they didn’t tell me I had to register the phone. On the 3rd call they did. After the 5th call it would not register and they would not do it for me. They suck. I had a Telstra phone and it worked but this one the 18750 is useless.
So I had better get a refund or I will go the consumer affairs.

Slechte service en slechte producten. Magibook v2 gekocht, connecteert niet met de computer om extra boekjes erop te downloaden. Blijkbaar een algemeen probleem, zoals heel veel mensen reeds aangeven via internet. Hun klantendienst doet niets en reageert niet ondanks meermaals contact. Ik heb Vtech ook reeds afgeraden bij mijn vriendinnen, want gewoon veel geld voor slechte kwaliteit. De Magibook is eigenlijk onbruikbaar als er maar 1 boekje werkt en al de rest niet…

Terrible baby monitor. It never works and cost a fortune! Often loses signal in the night and doesn't re-connect. We have amazing super fast broadband, but the device still doesn't connect. Avoid at all costs

We had a Vtech Kidizoom watch which stopped working after about 11 months (it had been well used but it shouldn’t hadn’t been obviously damaged in any way). Having contacted Vtech they replied very promptly and after returning our watch to them they organised for a new replacement to be sent out. It was received today. Unlike other reviews I feel the customer service was really pretty good!

Baby monitor stopped working. 3 weeks of emails to support and the resolution was just to return it.
