Venezia - Basilica di San Marco il 18 agosto 2018

Venezia. Una fila interminabile, lunga circa 300 metri. Non ci penso neanche. Rinuncio. Poi vedo un'entrata completamente libera. Riservata a chi ha prenotato online. Cerco freneticamente su internet ed ecco la salvezza. Due minuti e ho il voucher con una spesa irrisorria. Mi avvicino incredulo all'entrata riservata e il miracolo si avvera. Ho evitato due ore di fila sotto il sole. Mai spesi meglio 3 euro. Grazie !

In simple word

In simple word, i cant use the ticket witch i was charged for, and no refound... For me i real disapointment...

unfortunately you didn't write any details to help us in identifying your reservation (a booking number, the name of the service you booked, a date, ...) nor the reason why you were not able to use your tickets... Il sito è chiaro e facilmente navigabile, non ho avuto problemi per il pagamento perché ho una carta di credito, però penso dovrebbero esserci più forme di pagamento per agevolare anche utenti senza carta di credito

Venice combo: gondola tour and Basilica - really great!

I purchased the Venice gondola tour with StMarc Basilica visit - well planned and executed! Guide showed up in time, provided stickers to sort folks into groups by program purchased. Gondola ride was perfect, Gianni was nice and non-intrusive, but engaged when we asked questions.

The second portion, the Basilica visit was a tiny bit confusing on pinpointing where to meet, but once we successfully reconnected with the guide, they quickly assigned us to the English-speaking guide (at this point you join a tour in progress). If you have a backpack, they show you where to drop it of for free safe-keeping.
We entered through a separate entrance and inside were fast-tracked to the altar. Later sat separately in a cordoned off area listening to our guide.

All worked as a well-ouled machine saving ton of time and confusion - well-worth planning and purchasing ahead!

False information on website, no support

Sold me tickets that according to their website "don't need to be printed and could be shown on a smartphone". This was untrue, as when I arrived at the venue they wouldn't accept the tickets on my phone. Tried to contact them on their website and have received no response after 2 weeks. Terrible, avoid.

Actually, it is a bit difficult for us to understand the service you are referring to without a booking number or the name of the service you book... If a voucher must be printed, we can assure you that this information is clearly specified online. We are very clear in explaining our customers how the voucher will be used, otherwise the lack of information would be against our own interest, don't you think?

chiaro, semplice veloce.Personalmente ho avuto un intoppo in fase dowload voucher ,ma avendoli contattati direttamente per telefono mi hanno risolto il problema in due minuti inviandomi per mail il tutto

Very bad

Very bad , waited in line 2 times . They didn’t have printer
Had to walk a mile and half in the sun and terrible humidity to find a printer ! And we came back. We had to go through all security check again
Not convenient at all
Don’t buy

we are sorry you were not satisfied with our service. Please note that the necessity to show a printed copy of the voucher is clearly specified both online, to inform our customers before booking, and then on the voucher itself, as a kindly reminder.
Whenever possible, the voucher can be presented on electronic devices. For the Doge’s Palace this is not possible since the regulation of Venice Civic Museums, to which we have to be in compliance, requires to show a paper copy of the voucher at the ticket offices. We regret you missed this important detail since we are transparent in specifying this important detail online, in order to inform our customers of this fundamental requirement before they book the service.
As for the utility of the advance booking, we can assure you that most of our customers find the service useful in order to book everything online prior to departure.

You're better of doing walk ins

1. Please have QR or bar code as electronic voucher so we don't have to print the voucher. There were no print shops open during weekends so we had a very hard time finding a printer. We spent almost an hour looking for a printer because it was "compulsory" to print the voucher.

2. Walk in gondola rides were cheaper at EUR 80 for 5 people.

3. Ride was only for 20 minutes instead of the advertised 30 minutes.

4. If you have a very strict schedule then this is good for you because you know exactly when a gondola is made available for you. If not, just line up for a gondola ride during off peak times, 5pm onwards

thank you for your feedback! Whenever possible, we offer the possibility to show the voucher on electronic devices. Unfortunately, for some services, the supplier requires a printed copy of the voucher and therefore we have to comply with its regulation, otherwise our voucher won't be accepted and customers won't be able to use the service. Anyway, please note that we are transparent in specifying this important detail online, in order to inform our customers of this fundamental requirement before they book the service.
Concerning the price, as indicated online, it includes an advance booking fee that allows you to save time on site. Without a reservation, you may loose precious time in queue waiting for a gondola!

I learned the hard way that good help and customer service is not easy to come by in Italy. I can't understate the exceptional quality of service we received from Chrish of Visit Today Italy. We missed our train from Venice which meant we missed the beginning of our walking tour, which we could not reschedule due to a short time frame in Florence. Chrish went above and beyond to minimize the impact of our late start and things we should consider doing in Florence. He held our luggage for us and waited until after our tour to personally request us a taxi. I wouldn't hesitate to work with this company.

Also, Julia's tour was phenomenal. She was knowledgable, insightful, and clearly had a passion for her work and the subject matter. Book with confidence!

The website was glitchy

The website was glitchy. It seemed as though it didn’t process the payment but then we received a confirmation email. One of the tickets had to be printed and the site said the ticket could be collected at the ticket office at the museum. However the museum would not print it. Since we had no way to print we could not go to the museum at all. We paid for nothing. Very disappointed.

As for the voucher of the museum, maybe you didn't read carefully al the information... We are very claer in informing our customers that 'the VOUCHER proves that the booking has been made successfully and it must be PRINTED ON A PAPER COPY AND SHOW AT THE TICKET OFFICE'. It is your responsibility to print the voucher, not of the ticket office, and this is clearly specified also online, since we are transparent in informing our customers about the particular condition to use the voucher before they book.

Voucher and Invoice not attached

I ordered two items separately, although only one item came through with vouchers. There is not information on how to retrieve based only on a booking confirmation without a voucher or invoice attached.

As an alternative, as explained in our FAQ section - question is 'What should I do if I cannot download the voucher after booking?' - you could have tried to recover the reservation on your own.
