Faultless broadband

Faultless broadband. Has never dropped. Just signed up for another 2 years. Amy was incredibly helpful and gave me a great reason to stay with Trooli. I use my own router but there's was ok when I used it.

Poor reaction to loss of service

Poor reaction to loss of service. Unable to give engineer eta’s and South African call staff don’t appear to care or have a clue. Very lax about the potential for a 3-4 day loss of service with no real explanation as to why.

Poor show Trooli. Quick to threaten me with £574 cancellation fees if I take my custom elsewhere - that seems like restrictive trade practice to me.

Updated - as you replied with a rather fantastical reference to how you keep customers updated - might look good on trustpilot when you write it - certainly not my experience

Excellent customer service

Spoke with Mikyle re a change of adress.

Call was dealt with promptly and very professionally. All my questions were answered fully and I was given a full breakdown of the process.

Engineer was brilliant and quick…

Engineer was brilliant and quick booking of installation a disaster email to say instal booked between 8am-1pm no one arrived between these times called trooli advisor said time was between 9am-1pm engineer arrived for instal between 2pm-5pm what a mess .

The engineers were on time on the day of install ,very polite and helpful, the fibre Internet is amazing exactly the speeds they said they were ,thumbs up from me so far

When installing connected from…

3When installing connected from Telephone Pole to the facia, the weight of the cable is pulling the facia away. Have contacted them 3 times, they refuse to accept responsibility, saying it may not be the cable! It's a heavy 40ft cable ! 100% they are responsible. Avoid

Very good service

Ordered online. Received router (was confused by the different company name on the router) a couple of men arrived and explained they would use the current lines coming into our property and replace the units with their own boxes. They also explained the cable currently supplying our home was incorrect so had to connect from the opposite post at the other end of the road. They were with us connecting cables, boxes and setting up the WiFi within an hour. They were extremely helpful and cleaned up afterwards. The speed of the WiFi is very quick and the coverage in our home is also very good

Very helpful customer services

Had a slight problem with the software forms enabling me to claim back part of my severance fee with the previous provider, Ntombizonke, in customer services was particularly helpful (and cheerful) and sorted the matter out to my satisfaction.

Dropping connection or very slow, don't recommend Trooli

Very bad experience, I really regret switching to trooli. I have a 900mbps package but my connection is so slow, usually around 15/20 download or upload speed.
I contacted them many times but they are no helping at all. Just send instructions to reboot the wall box or rooter. They don't send an engineer, they don't have an app, if you have a problem and email them you should expect an answer in more than 2 days. If you work from home I don't recommend to have trooli..my laptop is upstairs and router downstairs, there is no internet upstairs
They suggested to add an extender but the monthly cost will go up a lot so I bought my own one.
All they say is we done our test, everything looks fine. Not bothering to solve the issue but they take your money every month. At the moment I write this review using my mobile data because Trooli doesn't work.
I can't wait to finish my contract and never ever have to chase an internet provider so.much.
They say but they don't do, so please be aware not to be fooled by their offers. They're not as good as they think. So disappointed, please think twice before choosing Trooli

Your 900Mbps package refers to the full-fibre speed delivered to the router, while Wi-Fi speeds around the home can vary depending on router location, distance, walls, interference, and the device being used. A laptop upstairs with the router downstairs may not receive the same performance as a wired connection. We understand that reliable broadband is especially important when working from home. Max helped me on a follow up call…

Max helped me on a follow up call regarding a problem with my Zxyel wifi extender that I ahd reported earlier in the day. He talked me through the process to help him reset it and it was all sorted. He was very patient and thorough. Many thanks Max.

Good customer service

I called up to change my billing email address because my email service provider (Lycos) is closing down. My call was answered quickly and Samantha actioned the change of email address rapidly. I received confirmation of the change within a few minutes.

Just gone through the One Switch…

Just gone through the One Switch programme with the sales agent Belmirro Khoza. He was absolutely fantastic. Was able to help me with no issues, went through all the details etc about switching very thoroughly and was just lovely to talk to. A very easy process and he was fantastic.

Fibre broadband fine but installation and 'help' terrible

The Trooli fibre broadband itself is fine, with the 150 Mbps service giving about 160 Mbps for download and upload, but the installation was a series of avoidable errors with poor work, very poor internal communication and Trooli's so-called 'help' is anything but.

When installing the conduit along the street initially in December 2025, their contractor's digger ripped up my phone cable because they had not surveyed and marked the area and were trusting to luck they missed phone, electricity, gas, water and sewer installations. The groundwork team later advised this conduit work was of poor quality. BT Openreach had to repair the phone cable damage for them.

From this and from installing across the street, Trooli knew properties in this street do not have ducts, and I told them when ordering in February 2026. But they failed to survey or carry out the necessary groundworks, so the engineer on the booked installation date had nothing to connect to! The engineer had to arrange the additional work needed, documented this and said either the groundwork team or the installer could lay the 14mm cable conduit needed to the building, although those teams later claimed they did not have this information.

Trooli had this information, because they used it to calculate the cost of the additional work over £600. Their website home page is misleading to say, "free standard installation & activation," while the possibility of charges if costs exceed the £600 threhold are buried in small print on another web page, I had to pay £30 or so.

The groundwork team laid a conduit under the pavement to my property on the following week, but did not bring the right conduit and expansion gap cover to protect the cable to the building. They claimed they were not given the first engineer's information, admitted that internal communication was poor and said the street conduit was poorly installed.

The installers did not bring the conduit and cover the day after either, even though I had reiterated this to the helpdesk when booking the appointment. The helpdesk belittled my concerns and refused to note the work needed. The installers laid the unprotected cable, made the installation and got it working, but I declined to sign off as the work as it was incomplete. The groundwork team that returned to reinstate the pavement the day after that expressed surprise how the cable had been left unprotected.

Trooli called to make another appointment a couple of days later to rectify the work but again belittled my concern that they should record the work needed, despite knowing of all the previous errors! This installer failed to turn up when they had booked. I called Trooli yet again, they confirmed there had been an appointment and said they would ask the relevant team to phone me to advise when they would attend. When they called, the engineer advised that they could not do the work because they do not carry the necessary items, had first had to visit the depot (as the groundwork team had advised previously) and said had told Trooli! Trooli's communication and onboarding booking is unbelievably bad. The engineer further advised that they would visit the depot a few days later and return to complete the work the day after that.

The engineer returned as he said with the necessary conduit but advised that they could not find the covers that the groudwork team said were at the depot. He disconnected and re-laid the fibre cable through the protective conduit. Luckily I had a spare narrow electrical cable pipe that we used to protect the fibre cable between concrete slabs of the path for which they failed to provide covers. I later purchased wooden battens at my own cost and planed them to size to replace those orginally in the expansion gaps, cover the narrow cable pipe and protect the pipe and fibre cable.

The connection has remained reliable over the subsequent three months and consistently achieves slightly more than the contracted speed, so the product itself is good but, if you have an older property without a telecom conduit already laid to the building, God help you, because Trooli will not. It is worth noting that a lot of complaints posted are about wi-fi, which is not under Trooli's control, not with their broadband product. My review refers to the speed using my own router connected to Trooli's fibre modem and an Ethernet connection (although a comparable speed is also achieved over wi-fi from within the same room).

Great internet service

Great internet service, but when I came to renew my contract the renewal price was higher. Disappointed they don’t look after existing customers better.
