Om Tadhg O'Connor Ltd.
Skrevet af virksomheden
Tadhg O'Connor Ltd is a prominent Builders Providers and Home Improvement Centre, serving as one of Munster's leading establishments. With a legacy of 45 years, this family owned and operated company has been an integral part of West Limerick's business landscape. In 1978, Tadhg O'Connor Senior, a teacher at the time, recognized an untapped market in Rathkeale for a Builders Providers store. Embracing the challenge, he embarked on this endeavor, and the rest is history.
Building upon the foundation laid by their father, Tadgh’s sons now lead this family business and have embraced the opportunity to steer the company to new heights. Their ambitious vision and passion for innovation shape the company's present and future. Through unwavering dedication and hard work, Tadhg O'Connor Ltd have expanded over the years to three stores. Two builders’ providers outlets in Rathkeale and Newcastle West which include garden Centre's, as well as a state-of-the-art Furniture & Electrical showroom spanning 40,000 square feet in Rathkeale.
Community engagement is ingrained in O'Connor's business ethos. Alongside providing employment to nearly 100 individuals across our three stores, we have consistently supported local charitable, social, and sporting organizations, a commitment that will endure. At Tadhg O'Connor Ltd, our knowledgeable team sets us apart, consistently delivering a friendly and reliable service that goes above and beyond for our customers.
Our company mantra, "From Foundations to Furnishings," aptly reflects our ability to cater to a diverse range of needs, whether for professional builders, tradespeople, or home DIY enthusiasts. Our stores offer an impressive selection of goods, guaranteeing satisfaction from the moment you mark out your foundations to the day you settle in and rest your head on a pillow.
Proudly affiliated with Topline, Ireland's largest DIY buying group, we can provide competitive prices and a wide array of products to our local community and beyond. Topline, operated by Amalgamated Hardware PLC, stands as the leading DIY/Building Materials Buying group in Ireland, comprising over 90 affiliated members who independently own and operate more than 160 stores nationwide.
A significant milestone for our company occurred in 2020 when, after 42 years of brick-and-mortar operations, we made the decision to establish our online presence. Under the guidance of our accomplished marketing and e-commerce manager, Michael Sheehan, our team successfully developed a fully functional e-commerce website. This platform enables us to showcase our complete range of products and services to customers across Limerick and beyond.
Currently, we offer over 12,000 products online, serving customers in all 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland. Our nationwide delivery service ensures swift access to our products, complemented by a same day "Click & Collect" option. Rest assured, our dedicated e-commerce team guarantees a seamless shopping experience, mirroring the quality service you would receive at our physical stores. As we continue to innovate, we have several major projects in the pipeline, ensuring that we stay at the forefront of technology and advancements in our field.

They were so lovely and the delivery driver was brilliant too. Will absolutely be shopping here again and i highly reccomend ❤️

No stock control
No stock control, don't know what they have or what they are selling. Will waste your time. Paid for it a week or two ago. Refund only coming through yesterday. Seems that there's no panic on their end.

Had dealings with TOC rathkeale…
Had dealings with TOC rathkeale furniture. The wrong product ordered and then to top it off I didn’t get a call back like I was promised. Very disappointing as I’ve had dealings with Newcastle West and couldn’t have praised them more. A massive difference between the two shops. If ordering anything again 100% go to Newcastle West.

Safety risk glass fragments in compost sold
I have emailed customerservice and info on Sunday, and Tuesday and still no reply. I have also reached out to Eoin O’Conner on LinkedIn today in hope to bring this to his attention over message to address a safety concern regarding sharp glass fragments mixed throughout compost sold endangering users. I am loathed to have to use this platform to gain awareness but I’m concerned for the community and anyone else who may use this product especially with young children in the garden. Please take action to investigate this and protect our community.
