Overcrowded booking on Ben Because of…
Overcrowded booking on Ben Because of Manxmann out of water. I am a widow with a 17 year ok Autistic and my daughter in wheelchair plus we had our dog travelling with us hence why we booked a cabin on Manxmann as this is something my son and daughter can cope with and easier for dog too. On the Ben on the way out of to uk we could not get into dog lounge (which is tiny on the Ben by the way) with wheelchair as we were blocking the door so the only solution staff came up with was to move us to two front seats outside dog lounge and park my daughter in the wheelchair in the corridor area next in front of us -so she was a hindrence to the people coming back and fore. On the way back we had to sit separately which wasnt good for my autistic son, so he had to sit in doggy area and myself and daughter in wheelchair had to sit in main sitting area. Its a sad service for the people that live on the island and need to get on and off it on a regular basis. No concession for the IOM Residents

Very easy to book
Very easy to book. Straightforward booking system. As long as you know your travel plans it only takes a couple of minutes to find the options that work best and book. The best value fare was offered automatically, although I was given another higher priced option that I didn't have to go looking for if I needed additional flexibility

The website isn't very clear
The website isn't very clear. I booked a crossing to discover that I had only paid a deposit for a trip rather than fully booked. I totally appreciate the need to ensure genuine TT visitors are attending during the TT weeks but this was the week before and now there is no refund available for a genuine mistake. I don't require the tickets as I don't want to take valuable spaces for a time that I won't be traveling for. I'd just request for clarity in the website as the first time booking the ferry, I didn't realise it was a deposit only.

Terminal has not got enough seats or…
Terminal has not got enough seats or loos. 750 passengers, about 200 seats, 4 unisex lavatories and a 2 person urinal. What a waste of £100m taxpayers money.
And then we get on a clapped out (and extremely overpriced) ferry.

The Gents toilet was flooding!
The Gents toilet was flooding. No engineers to fix it? No TV's were working. Even the chips in the Eatery were limp half cooked and cool. But the Ben is fitted out very well, for one of the most boring journeys on earth. I have never had to climb so many stairs for a trip on an I-O-Man ferry. Get your finger out Steam Packet, and that is from an old ex-staff member.
