When booking a return journey, Being able to choose a different port of return was a bonus.

Very pleasant ferry
Easy to book the ferry crossing. Arrival, embarkation and the journey was all nice and pleasant (especially with the mill pond like sea on the return journey). Staff friendly and helpful.
Only bit that could have been clearer was how the Everton FC stadium road closures would affect the access to the ferry terminal.

It took more than 3Hr's to get from car…
** This is NOT the Steam Packets Fault **
But it absolutely needs addressing as it affected hundreds of passengers and its not the first time its happened !!
It took more than 3Hr's to get from car ramp on the boat just up the road to Costco due to a football match at evertons stadium. A distance of exactly 1,047.67m by road.
Absolutely unacceptable and this needs addressing with Liverpool City Council !
People missed planes and connecting trains due to this as reported on multiple facebook pages.
The steam packet do a fantastic job under the circumstances.

We're very sorry to hear about the disruptions and delays when trying to leave Liverpool Terminal and appreciate the frustration this would've caused.
We've heard that there were also a few different factors on top of Everton's football match that added to the congestion on the day, including a meeting at Hill Dickinson Stadium between the UK Prime Minister and the Canadian Prime Minister prior to the match and unforeseen, urgent groundworks to repair cables on Great Howard Street.
We'll share these concerns with Liverpool City Council and other relevant authorities to review how they advise us of mid-week cup fixtures, events and to check road closures/diversions are correct.
Again, we can only apologise for the disruption to your travel plans.

I like the alternatives that are presented when booking, and also the ease of altering bookings online. Like all of us I’d prefer lower prices, especially for longer trips.

The first attempt failed at payment stage No code came though to phonr for us to verify Tried by phone saying we had been unable to complete However there was a higher payment required
We went into another device and through booking process again with a different card which could be confirmed more easily All in all far too stressful

Overpriced and under functioning
Ben my chree is a load of shite. Why book so many passengers onto a boat with not enough seats? We were forced to stand on the outside deck for the whole trip like many others. Not worth the near 70 quid it cost me one way!!! Joke!

We regret that you spent your journey travelling on the outside deck. While Ben-my-Chree is smaller and holds less passengers, we never overbook our sailings and there is a seat available for every passenger that's booked on; unfortunately, it may not always be possible for those travelling together to sit together, but seating is available. The crew on board can also assist with finding a seat.
