Visited Gordon Riggs site on numerous occasions. We spoke to both sales advisors...helpful, polite and informative about options etc.
After much discussion placed an order for our new shed....(our second).
Can't recommend enough.
Ella was extremely helpful when advising on the practicalities during our site visit.

Juri andTony arrived to fit the shed this morning, there was a small issue and they sorted it immediately, they worked incredibly fast, incredibly efficiently and the result was an amazing build. The quality of the wood is really high standard, I am really happy at how they worked and the end product.

Have had two products from Solid Sheds in the past month, a log store and an Apex Shed. Both great quality, backed up by great service from the sales staff, they admin team and the delivery and fit team. Thank you so much. You have all been great.

Very pleased with the service from showroom sales through to installation. We were able to have one model adapted to fit our available space. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to others.

We placed our order at our local garden centre in Southport where staff were pleasant and informative. We were given a date of delivery and erection of Friday 21/04/23 however on Wednesday 19/04/23 I received a phone call to tell us that the side windows had not been received. We were given the option of postponing or they would erect the summerhouse and cover the window opening with waterproof membrane and ensuring it was fully waterproof. We went for this option as we had already received the furniture that will go inside and had it sitting in our kitchen, we were also expecting guests to stay. We were also promised that there would only be a 2-3 week delay in the windows arriving and being fitted.
On the day of initial delivery and erection it was obvious that the covering for the windows was only vapour membrane already torn so was not waterproof and the fitters when questioned agreed it was not waterproof. They stated that is what was always used for covering and were unhappy that we said it was not satisfactory. I a mere woman phoned the company and said it was only a vapour membrane and was told it was not however as soon as my husband said he had checked and it was they immediately agreed that the wrong covering had been used by the factory as the sales advisor Paul said that he had instructed them to use rubber sheeting. A waterproof covering was then arranged and installed that day which does work effectively.
We had paid for several extras and one being the cabin hooks to keep the doors open. I noticed immediately that they had been installed by the fitter without any consultation, he had put them at the top of the door where at 5ft4" I cannot reach them. I immediately pointed this out to the fitter and was told I am the fitter and I always put them there. He also said that they always go at the top and I told him not at the showroom or in their brochure and he told me I was wrong. There are also holes that have been made close to the hooks where they had been incorrectly located previously by the fitter. I spoke to my husband who also spoke to the fitter again being told that he always fitted them there and he became very cross when my husband said as the customer it should be what we want and not what he chose to do. He did not offer to move the hooks. Before leaving he did give us the information on caring for the summerhouse but also was quite aggressive saying that we should not have told the office that they had agreed that the window covering originally used was not waterproof. We were not given the opportunity to examine the summerhouse in his presence and as soon as he left I saw a large scratch to the front window pane. I immediately contacted Solid Sheds and sent photos of the scratch, Sam immediately said she would arrange to have the glass replaced at the same time as the outstanding 2 windows are fitted. I also stated that she agreed that the hooks would be moved to a suitable position. I then said that I also require the holes made by the fitter all to be filled by them.
It is now Friday 05/05/23 2 weeks later and no update has been received on when we can expect the repairs and outstanding windows to be done. I have today phoned for an update and have been told that the person I need to talk to is in a meeting and I should phone back later, I instead requested he phone me! Phone call was received with an update that they expect delivery Wednesday or Thursday next week and will contact me next Thursday at the latest with the aim of rebooking installation date.
I phoned yesterday to see if the glass had arrived and very happy to report not only had it arrived but they have been today and replaced the scratched pane, inserted both of the missing windows and moved the captain hooks to a sensible position. The staff today were very polite and professional. I have changed the star rating from 2 to 3 stars and would have given them higher had it not been for the original fitters.

From ordering at our local garden centre to the site inspection and installation the company gave a professional and knowledgeable approach. The shed 10’ x 8’ log lap apex and a platform base looks good and is ideal for storing most of our paraphernalia from our previous property which had a garage. The team Steve, Tony and Adam did a great job on what was quite a windy day. Installed 21st April 2023

Had a 14x8 pent roof workshop delivered and fitted. The two guys (Andy and Karl) who carried out the installation were excellent and completed the task with professionalism. All went well and I am very pleased with my acquisition.

Great service from start to finish. Bought 2 sheds from them and they are brilliant. The fitters were really good. Karl and Andy who built the first shed did really well and were brilliant - then it rained so we had to have the rubber roof finished when the guys came to fit the 2 shed. Pete and Dave who came to fit the 2nd shed were also brilliant and built the shed in terrible rain and then came back today to fit the rubber roof on shed 1 and also shed 2. Fantastic job by all fitters and really pleased with the quality of the sheds and the build. Would have no problem recommending this company and they always advise when they will be coming and stick to it. Brilliant.

Highly recommend this company. They have delivered a first class service and my shed looks beautiful.

Huge thanks to Jiri and Brad who worked so hard in making the shed perfect. You can tell they take pride in their work and want do a great job.

The shed was 10ft by 14ft and cost £3400 including fitting. This isn’t cheapest on the market, I know, but you get what you pay for.

So if you want a solid, well built shed that will last for years - this is the company to do business with.

Jerie and his team who came to put up my summer house where quick and efficient. Will definitely recommend them. This is the second time we have used solid sheds.

Ordered an 8 x 6 Pent Shed from the Site at Dobbies in Southport.
We were impressed by the quality having looked at cheaper but far inferior Sheds.
We dealt with Paul who gave good advice - but no hard sell.
Paul came out and did a survey just to make sure everythng was OK with regards to the base and any obstructions from hedgfes, trees etc.
The Team that installed it arrived at 8.50 am and were done by 10.30 - a very efficient and polite Team of guys (sorry I have forgotten their names!), but a credit to the Company.
Overall a great experience and I wouldnt hesitate in recommending Solid sheds - the quality is fantastic and service exemplary - well done!

We bought the 8’ x 6’ Pent shed from the new sales site at Dobbies in Southport. A good, friendly and well informed sales person dealt with us. I am really pleased with the shed construction. All aspects indicate quality, such as cross bars on the frame that prevent sideways movement, perfect fitting doors on heavy hinges and venting. We bought additional upgrades (rubber roof, the base and upgraded to 21mm lapwood, plus the special paint), which we feel combined will give us a shed that will see us through! I would particularly recommend the base as our old shed failed because the floor gave way. We dealt with two teams, one to take the old shed away and the team building the new shed. Both teams were friendly and respectful. Overall, a good buying experience and I would be happy to recommend to friends and family.

We bought our corner Summer House from Solid Sheds and it has not stopped leaking despite them replacing the 2 windows! The main problem is that instead of using a single sheet of glass in each frame they use 2.
We had them out quite a few times to stop the leeks but they continue.
Do Not Use Solid Sheds! Unless you like leaks!

From sales to delivery and erection, first class service. The erection team were friendly, diligent and very customer focussed. Happily recommend Solid Sheds.

New 6x4 shed delivered and constructed today. Jiri & Adrian worked quickly and professionally. Everything spot on. Shed seems good quality with the rubber roof, hopefully, will last at least 20 years. Must also mention Ella who organised the sale and explained everything and even came and surveyed the area. Thankyou to all at Solid Sheds.

We had looked at a competitors sheds at a Warrington Garden Centre but then on our way home called at Gordon Riggs Garden Centre at Rochdale to see how Solid Sheds compared. We were very impressed by Iain’s knowledge and his No-pressure approach and the better value of your sheds. We went for a traditional summer house but ordered one that was non-standard height and depth and added the rubber roof and yet still got it delivered and erected within 2 weeks. Iain had done a home visit to check difficult access and ability to fit it in next to our trailer shelter so the installation team were brilliant on arrival and walked us round the finished job before leaving our garden as clean and tidy as when they arrived.
Leaving it now for the 4 weeks recommended before we coat it with the Protek Stain that they supplied.

I think Solid Sheds are a great company. Their products are well made and right-sized for our needs. We bought from a Garden Centre near Lymm and the team there are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and honest. Most important for me is that they stick to their delivery promises. The installation teams are really quick, tidy and polite. I'd recommend Solid Sheds to anyone needing something well made and delivered on time. If you're looking for a down-side, the only thing that I can think of is that although the timber is treated, we've always stained over this to create a more pleasant colour/texture finish.

This is our second shed from this company, great quality products, the team are very good at communicating throughout, and on the day of delivery very prompt and expeditious, with minimal fuss. Great overall experience and would easily recommend to anyone
