NEVER order if you want a preorder on release date.

Even when the item is in stock (I ordered Saros for the PS5) they take forever to dispatch and then send it via a snail mail service via In Post.

I ordered The Elder Scrolls - Oblivion for the Switch 2 and it's been two days now since it should have arrived (tracking still shows it's not going to be delivered today when it should have been delivered YESTERDAY). It's been 4 days in transit (the tracking claims it was sent out way before).

When you talk to their customer service, they ignore your concerns and then just say, "Thanks for providing feedback for improving our teams!". They also can't aid you in amending addresses on orders if there's a mistake - so if you make multiple orders, they tell you to cancel and reorder them all. Other retailers have no problems with this...

There are many competitors that deliver on time (Amazon, ShopTo, Hit, Currys, Argos, Game Collection - though the latter scalp you and used to be way better so beware of them) and when you mention this to them and how disappointed in Smyth's Toys' non-service, guess what they do? Corpo radio silence - they ignore you. Sony-style like when they didn't like the backlash from their announcement of going discless.

Do everybody a favour and don't bother supporting this company. They don't care about your business with them and you won't get whatever you order on time or maybe at all. You can do better elsewhere.

Just rubbish. New spider man movies out and with a hyped bunch of kids I figured let’s got by some spider man toys. Briefly forgetting how rubbish this place is we went to smyths. And they had absolutely nothing. No spider man figures worth a damn just giant weird plastic things.
This happened to us during mandalorian movie. Absolutely nothing.

With never waste my time in this place again.

I purchased a pram from Smyths, Longton two days ago. Since then, I have tried to contact the store numerous times, but nobody has answered the phone at any point. I have seen online that I was supposed to receive an isofix with the pram deal, but I was not given the isofix in store and the shop assistant said that it was no longer part the deal - yet since checking, it is advertised as part of the deal. I am disappointed that I now have to go out of my way to the longton store in order to speak to a member of the team to sort out this issue.

I visit the Northampton branch of this store regularly to buy for my Granddaughter. I have found the experience to be positive in every way. The stock is extensive and, to my mind, arranged in a logical and accessible way. The staff I encounter are unfailingly polite, knowledgeable about their stock and always prepared to make suggestions. On my recent visit this week, I was offered (and accepted) help with carrying my large purchase to the checkout and having paid, another kind assistant carried my purchase out to my car, of his own volition. Obviously I do not know how other stores operate and can only describe my experience of the Northampton one. The only reason it did not get 5* was because there was quite a queue at the checkouts and it could have done with opening another. In addition as I have never ordered online I cannot say whether that is an equally good experience.

Poor quality control - bought blind boxes which were tampered with and rare items were taken out of them. They use the cheapest courier option possible - deliveries are ALWAYS late. If you should happen to have an issue you will now be getting endless useless responses from an ai bot made to seem like youre talking to a human when you are not. They do not give you the option to amend or cancel an order the second it has been placed. Good luck getting any restitution for their mess ups...They also make stupid mistakes like not entering your full address when printing labels causing further delays. I've already told myself I would never order from them ever again - yet here we are. So really thats on me. But this time will be the last

Paid for home delivery. They sent the parcel with Inpost who is not a home delivery service. Inpost take straight to a locker. They should not be offering home delivery if they are not sending it with a home delivery courier. Asked for shipping refund and was advised attempt was made but I wasn’t home. Inpost do not offer home delivery so this is not the case. Unacceptable response. Will not order again.

A worker in Stockport was really friendly and helped me put up a pram

Tracking stated delivered to back porch .. I have no back porch .. Emailed customer services and was shown a pic of the outside of my back fence which leads to a field.. guess what no parcel .. Smyths attitude in the email was it states delivered so there is nothing we are going to do about it .. so now I have no parcel and £23 out of pocket.. shocking way to treat your customer

Me and 2 of my friends, one of them being 18 were stopped at the door and told “you people” can only come in in2s. One would have to stand outside because they don’t want teenagers messaging around. Considering one of us is an adult and we simply wanted to look at LEGO it was inappropriate, it’s understandable that you do get teenagers who mess around however calling us “you people” is very degrading and stereotypical. If you don’t want teens in your shop then don’t make it a target audience. As someone who struggles with anxiety, walking around the shop made me feel out of place and simply not welcomed. Considering im 15 this feels highly inappropriate and I think silly rule towards teenagers should me reconsidered or atleast monitored. Yes the man let us 3 in however my friend (the 18 year old) is most offended due to the assumption that she’s not old enough to be in a toy shop.

Ik heb een bestelling geplaatst bij Smyths Toys (Bestelnummer van het vermiste pakket: PRNL102619589). Helaas maakt Smyths Toys gebruik van DPD voor de bezorging, en dat gaat hier structureel mis. Pakketten worden door DPD in mijn wijk simpelweg ALTIJD op het verkeerde adres geleverd; de chauffeur kijkt niet eens naar het adres op het label.Vandaag staat dit pakket in de track & trace op "bezorgd", maar er is absoluut niets geleverd. Mijn videodeurbel bewijst onomstotelijk dat er op het genoemde tijdstip helemaal geen chauffeur of bus in de straat is geweest. Er is door DPD ook geen enkele afleverfoto geüpload. De chauffeur fraudeert simpelweg met de bezorgtijd en dumpt de pakketten blind ergens anders om zijn targets te halen.Ik heb de klantenservice van Smyths Toys hier inmiddels over gemaild. De situatie is extra urgent omdat er op dit moment NÓG TWEE bestellingen van Smyths Toys via DPD naar mij onderweg zijn. Omdat de pakketten nu nog op "aangemeld" staan, blokkeert het DPD-systeem in mijn online account ook nog eens de optie om de bezorging handmatig te wijzigen naar een pakketpunt.Ik verwacht dat Smyths Toys per direct dit dossier oppakt, een officieel onderzoek start en direct met het DPD-depot schakelt om te voorkomen dat die andere twee pakketten wéér blind ergens anders worden gedumpt. Jullie zijn als verzender wettelijk verantwoordelijk tot de pakketten in mijn handen liggen. Schakel over op een betrouwbare bezorgdienst, want dit kost jullie op deze manier klanten!

I am extremely disappointed with how Smyths Toys has handled a recent purchase. Smyths had always been my go-to store for all my children's birthday and Christmas presents, but after this experience, I am shocked by their complete lack of customer care and refusal to uphold basic consumer rights.

I bought a £49 Paw Patrol toy vehicle for my 3-year-old son with his birthday money and a gift card he received from his party.

Within 5 minutes of opening it, he ran it into a wall during normal play. Upon hitting the wall, the toy produced an intensely loud, jarring mechanical screech that terrified my son and left him in tears. Expecting a toddler to steer a toy vehicle without ever touching a wall or baseboard is completely unrealistic.

I took the toy, receipt, and box back to the store less than 24 hours later to request a simple in-store credit or exchange for a different toy. The manager refused, claiming it "wasn't faulty" without even testing the toy or watching the video I took of the noise.

then raised a complaint with customer service, providing video evidence and proof of purchase. Customer service simply hid behind store policies on opened packaging and closed the ticket, completely ignoring the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which states goods must be fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.

I wasn't asking for cash or anything for free
I simply wanted to exchange an unsuitable toy for an in-store credit so my son could have something he could actually play with.

Now I am £49 down and left with a toy that he cannot use.

A good toyshop

I ordered nearly £50 worth of items and paid for next day delivery. The delivery company took a photo of someone elses house, not even in my road as i've gone to try and find it and Smyths are trying to tell me it was delivered to me! How can it be delivered to me when that is not my house. You can't just send a parcel anywhere and take a photo and say it's delivered. I had the correct address on my invoice and was home all day.

They are refusing a refund or replacement which is crazy. I just want what i paid for! Honestly first time i have used them and the last. I'm now going to have to escalate this further as i'm not being ripped off for someone elses mistake! I'm honestly dumbfounded!

J'ai commandé plusieurs fois chez Smyths Toys et j'en suis toujours satisfait. Le site est très clair et les prix sont juste. Il y a souvent les bonnes promotions. On peut quasiment toujours compter sur le bon prix, souvent identique ou même inférieur à celui d'Amazon).

Je suis toujours impressionné par la rapidité de la livraison. J'ai reçu ma commande plusieurs fois en moins de 24 heures, et parfois en 2 à 3 jours seulement, avec DPD.

Les articles sont toujours soigneusement emballés dans un carton neuf et solide.

J'ai passé une commande aujourd'hui et j'ai déjà reçu la confirmation d'une livraison demain. Génial !
