I had a problem with delivery, but Ben and Lily fixed it really quickly. I've only had time to set up one sensor, but it was a doddle compared with others we have tried, and although we are awful at house plants (we've managed to kill cacti, peace lilies, ferns, and even the iron-plant looks iffy), the sensor we added has, I think, saved it. It's stopped me over and under watering, and I think it will do more (only had it a couple of weeks)

The whole experience has been fantastic. The app is incredibly easy to use, simple to navigate and really user-friendly. Everything is straightforward, from getting set up to understanding what your plants need. I love how it takes the guesswork out of plant care and makes looking after your plants that little bit easier.

It’s great to see technology being used in such a practical and helpful way. A brilliant concept that’s been really well thought out. Would definitely recommend to any fellow plant lovers! 🪴💚

I absolutely love my SmartyPlants sensors! I currently have six plant children (with six sensors), with more on the way, and these little gadgets have been a fantastic investment.

They’ve helped me work out the best location for each of my plants by allowing me to monitor their individual light, temperature, moisture and humidity levels. I no longer have to worry so much about whether they’re getting the right conditions, as the app sends me notifications to let me know when something needs my attention. It’s incredibly reassuring to know I can keep an eye on their environment without constantly checking on them myself.

I particularly love being able to view historical data for each plant, as it helps me understand their individual needs and see how their conditions change over time. Every plant is different, and having this information makes it so much easier to give each of my little green babies the care they need.

The sensors arrived quickly, fitted through my letterbox, came partially charged and were incredibly easy to set up.

What I appreciate most is the peace of mind they provide. I love my plants and want them to thrive, and these sensors have taken so much of the guesswork out of caring for them. They’re easy to use, informative and genuinely useful.

I’m absolutely delighted with them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other plant lovers. With more plant children joining the family, I’ll definitely be needing more sensors!

Wish id read the reviews before buying. These seem honestly useless. Setting up was problematic as they wanted me to verify my email but the verification email took over an hour. I emailed them and got an auto response but nothing else. By the time the email arrived i couldn't verify it.

They were charging for 5 hours but were still on red so I gave up charging them. They were at maybe 70%.

The “readings” are pointless and feel made up. One day my plant is too dry the next its drenched, even though i didnt water. Humidity is running at 80% for one plant but 20 for the one next to it. Even the light sensor feels made up. Its constantly saying not enough light but my kitchen is south west facing with mostly glass walls. Some plants with higher light needs get no such warnings even though they are in a group.

It feels like they need seasonal adjustments, as otherwise winter will be one long light alarm.

I bought these to check I’m doing things right and this system is no help and at 30 pounds a pop its an expensive waste of money.

They seem to have nobody responding to messages and I can’t find a phone number.

Luckily Im good with plants so im going to just stop using these as the readings are schizo and if I responded to each alarm I’d end up harming my plants.

I am so glad I bought these smart plant sensors. They monitor absolutely everything, from lighting to watering levels. It makes taking care of plants feel like having a pet because you always know exactly what they need. My plants never die anymore! It is a fantastic, intensive product that does exactly what it promises. I highly recommend these to everyone—go buy them!

Bought these on a whim but struggled hugely to get them connected. The company responded to each email with helpful ideas and then arranged video calls two days running and put great effort into chasing down exactly why my network was causing connectivity problems. It took some effort but we got there. The support team were excellent to deal with and a shining example of how customer service should be done. 🙏

It’s nice to see a founder who is so involved with their customers.

Great monitors. This is the second set I bought. It saved my plants from dying on more than one occasion. Keep up the good work.

A moisture meter for £30?
You can buy that from Amazon for £3
Instead of looking at your phone, waiting for the app to load, waiting for the sensor to shows it's reading, that you'll have to replace the batteries for often... Just look at the plant and your simple moisture device.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should create a stupid device that needs a phone app and batteries and..... Arrgghh.... Really?

Excellent product. Bought a different brand by accident which was useless but this product and hints and tips absolutely phenomenal.

After initially ordering a pack of free sensors, I was very excited to get this product, particularly after the Dragon's Den programme on BBC One. I have since spent the entire day trying to get the sensors to pair with the Bluetooth on my phone and only one out of three sensors has been able to pair despite following exactly the precise instructions and timing.

I am very frustrated and feel very cheated by the whole experience, plus the wasted time. There is no support on the app and it's impossible to speak to a human. I would avoid it like the plague and feel that this product has been rushed to the market prematurely. Very disappointing

Really impressed! Easy to set up and will make it much easier to keep plants from getting too wet or dry. Also monitors other things like light and temperature. Very useful!

Honestly as a serial plant killer who spent £100’s on expensive established plants to get the ‘look’ straight away, then trying the cheap baby pots as I killed everything except for Money Plants, and still killed them just at a younger age, these little gadgets have given me the oasis of green I’ve always longed for. Our living room has a huge variety of leafy, spiked, smooth and fluffy leaves in every corner and I’ve even brought 4 or 5 plants back from pretty much death with the help of your sensors and App. The technology is so easy to use and the app is too so really ideal for idiots like me!

But it’s not just the app and sensors doing the work now, it’s me as I look at the plant, look at its vitals on its daily chart and investigate if something isn’t matching up and I have stopped plants from potentially rotting in soaked soil, or drying out to a crisp as I’m learning from the app that if it’s reading the opposite of what it should be then the plants not happy so I can check it, ask advice on the app if needed and make sure that it survives, so I’m not wasting money on plants, I’m investing money in the air quality of the house - my son is asthmatic and we have a pug who is always moulting - and you can even feel the difference in the rooms too, they are more alive and nicer to be in.

The cost of the sensors did put me off a little as I was buying £1 plants so adding a sensor to it would be mad by most people’s standards but they can be moved from plant to plant so not every plant needs one and the fact I’ve lost 2 plants since using these and they were propagated and are happily thriving on my hospital ward kitchen window!

I have about 40 plants now instead of just a few limp things in pots and I’m about to order another set of monitors as I am planning my sons clean air bedroom jungle with added cactus and succulent plants that he loves!

Got my first set via Kickstarter. Plant monitoring really works well. Overall better experience with the new app. Purchased more plant monitors to monitor my other plants. Recommended.

New to Smarty Plant, after meeting Ben at Gardeners World demonstrating the concept of indoor plant monitoring.
Made the purchase of my first monitor. Initial set up was easy & choosing a difficult indoor plant (bird of Paradise) to start with.
Theres since been a software update to the app. My plant issue is poor light & watering, hoping to purchase a grow light soon. Will be purchasing another monitor soon
