their working practice is very intimidating and almost bullying, based from their own trustpilot reviews/own workers glass door reviews and the way they handle peoples personal data and wouldn't accommodate me when they had 15 days to do according to their own policy on the gov website was insulting and not accomindating to my circumstances or family needs when I explicitly said I cannot do any days but wednesday and I didn't appreciate the lady bombarding me with emails and phone calls when she knew I was busy and then proceeding to spam my phone with text messages, it was unprofessional and it was causing me extreme anxiety all of yesterday when I told her I was unavailable yet she proceeded to harass me, I have told her to cease all communications with me now and hope they uphold this or I will take the matter further, I had no issue signing up to them if they just rebooked to a Wednesday like I requested until the lady called floriana guida showed her true colours I've never known a organisation that's supposed to help anxious long term unemployed workers back into work and people with disabilities to use such despicable methods of doing so is unjustified and disgusting. , and no I do not wish to be contacted or send an email to open an investigation it's all written here in public but maybe contact your own staff member and retrain her or sack her so she knows what it's like to be on UC and bombarded with unnecessary messages and harrassed. thank god its voluntary for me and not mandatory because I'd happily be sanctioned than deal with this company

I am willing to work and attempting every opportunity but receiving no response. They are part of the DWP who is meant to help and get candidates in employment through retraining. This is a complete nightmare to get any responses or help.

This company failed to deliver on their promises.

They claim placed 86% of participants who has joined the scheme. Where do these figures come from? I have been on the scheme for two months and heard nothing in relation to back to work scheme. I sent the below email and received no response:

Hi,

I have universal credits who gets an update I relation to my job searches. It seems like your doing the same thing. What value is Shaw Trust adding in aiding to seek employment. In the last two months I have heard nothing.

The only reason I was referred to Shaw Trust on the assumption you would secure me a role which has not happened in any case. What benefit am I getting in telling universal credits and yourselves the same thing.

Unless we come to some kind of resolution how work to secure employment may this could be worthwhile. At this moment of time there is no concrete evidence of putting forward for roles or neither contacting me.

Please justify this to me.

I am unemployed and was referred to shaw trust during first lockdown as the JCP was closed so they outsourced to Shaw, I have diligently been emailing my job search every week and doing the Teams groups on tuesdays and wednesdays. hardly every hear anything from my current shaw trust advisor (I have had several so far). today I checked my bank statements to find my unemployment benefit hasnt been paid in for some time, phoned the DWP to be told Shaw Trust was sent something by the DWP which they did not do, I am now waiting for a jobcentre apointment to try and sort all this mess out because it cant be done over the phone, thanks a lot shaw trust, if the DWP dont fully backdate my payments, it will be your obligation to do so, your failure not mine why should I have money stopped for your laziness/incompetence, I have been searching for work every week and emailing jobsearch as well as doing all the Teams Groups I am asked to sign up for and attend.

Was told I had to attend which I now know as untrue offered no help at all make you an appointment then email would arrive with different time and day when you rang to query you were make to feel like you were a liar job searches were her ringing a company then handing you the phone and telling you to apply for the job no idea what the job is where it is. I have copd so there's a lot of places I can't work my lifting capacity is also compromised I could for instance not walk for 45 mins clean for 2 hours and the walk 45 mins home she couldn't have given a stuff totally disinterested I any health conditions you have

Awful company desperate to sign you up to anything so they get extra money from the government.

I would have to explain my health issues everytime my advisor would phone, he would never listen and would be very aggressive in tone when I told him I wasn't suited to a job because of ongoing health issues, I would be dreading his calls.

My advisor was trying to force me into an apprenticeship (I'm 38 years old!) that paid £4 an hour. They don't care if it's good for you it's all about the extra government funding.

My advisor (neil layton) was like a sleazy salesman, constantly saying my name trying to get me onside but as soon as you question something he would quickly turn nasty.

Don't be fooled if they say there's training with a job. The employer won't be training you, it'll be low grade shaw trust training but under a different name.

I feel for anyone signed up to these jokers. They have caused me nothing but stress. Unbelievable the government are paying these. If your advisor recommendeds these then refuse as you don't have to sign up, I wish I knew that from the start.

So far, very unimpressed. The main problem is that different staff are told different things, so I get different answers depending on to whom I speak at the time. Escalating matters doesn't seem to work because senior people don't seem to have much knowledge either.
Calls are not returned, emails are not answered.
They need to do much, much better.

I have been working with my advisor D.Richards for a few months now. He has gone above and beyond my expectations. Not only has always been 100% professional but he really seems to care about his clients and wants to help. If I have ever contacted him with a short notice enquiry and he has appointments all day, he will always inform me of this and gets back to me if he has a gap between clients or a cancellation. With good,honest and concise advice. Shaw trust have a good one here and they will benefit greatly from have someone so proactive and helpful on their team. Thank you for the help Mr Richards, you made a difficult time easier for me.

I teeviewer for group sessions said shawtrust was founded by two women in a bedroom and kept saying errrrrrrrrrrrrrrt all way through it was weird. The bloke advisor sound frustrated and dodgy because he was making sure I was going to do the next one and one after it was not positive it was strange sensed it as if It was not real

I was on dole, unfortunate the company got rid of me to save money.

I can't believe the support is fund by a charity, and he/she is well paid but he/she can't be bother looking for extra jobs to help me, while I was looking for a job and asked me a silly question, have you found?, what did you apply?, any interview that is not very helpful! Breathe down my neck for a long time then till not to contact me anymore waste my time to wait for a phone calling, and they have never phoned to me.

Have make a complained to the Jobcentre, they said that is the only support we have for you! I am sure they can find different support.

I would not recommend Shaw Trust what a joking place to get a help!

When I have found the job, and I was graceful not to be with them anymore. I hope not get unemployed again in the future because I don't want to be back with Shaw Trust!

Daniel was very helpful and informative. This was an exploratory process for me, as I am signed with depression currently and unsure about when/how/whether to return to work. Daniel was both sympathetic and supportive, and has left the door open for me to revert as and when I need to. I will not hesitate if I do find I need it.
I had to give quite a bit of personal data in order to access the service (not all necessary?), otherwise would have awarded 5 stars.

Absolutely disgusting organisation. Rude advisor who had the nerve to say she would be ringing to check on my well being, well it will be 1000x worse after her call. Had no encouragement into why i should commit (6 months) and was literally reading a load of speel from a pre written screen. She had no idea about her role or how they can help me find work apart from trying to invent vacancies that are not there. Complete waste of time and emotional stress.

Awful, stupid place that call, text, ring email you 100 times a day. It's harassment. They just want to look good to get funded. Awful place don't use , they won't leave you alone even when you tell them you don't wanna use them anymore . No stars if I could

The first 8 sessions went well with Jade Lee however after that it went down hill. I has have appointment scheduled and no one contacted me. I had an unscheduled phone calls that I missed as I was not by my phone. The first non teams meeting I had I answered and got a call that lasted approximately 5 seconds as after I said hello Jamie flynn hung up on me. It has been about THREE months since I have had any contact with them (that is about 8 sessions worth). I have been sending countless emails and messages on the portal but no-one answers.SO VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! It does not seems right that the tax payers money it not being used to it full potential and lining there own pockets.

I was referred to Shaw Trust by my local job centre with the hope of helping me get back to work after lockdown easing.

Shaw Trust or Shaw Trust Portal whatever name it has, is inept and it is only concerned about getting money off the UK government. The Shaw Trust so-called advisor that was assigned to me is a liar who could barely keep to her own words!! Whenever we booked phone call appointments she would
send me emails about different dates and times and she denied about the officially agreed appointment times and dates after I've sent her followup emails to question her about the changes.

Unknown to me, she forwarded my details to a sub contractor called TWIN and onto some other nonsense sub contractor again called TEAMS then I suddenly started receiving loads of emails and text messages nearly everyday about appointments they've claimed that I've made about online lecture sessions. Some of the texts and emails contained threatening remarks if I should fail to attend. I've never ever visited their website let alone book online lecture appointments.

A gentleman from the TWIN company politely told me that she had apparently listed my name for online courses without my knowledge and he would cancel them all. She had from the inception tried pressuring me at some point to have me signed some forms that I've agreed to take their course. I've refused and she started pressuring me that I should just send an email to say I've agreed. These are pile of crooks that are after government contracts but they aren't worth it! I do not like their courses because that would not get me back into work anyway. I lost my job due to covid.

I've told my jobcentre of my intention to quit Shaw Trust due to its unprecedented unnecessary pressure, and it agreed.

Warning! Their courses are not mandatory so the jobcentre won't stop your payment if you should refuse to be referred to shaw Trust in the first place, which I earlier didn't know.

Only started talking to Shaw Trust today, feel very pressured and anxious now. Im almost 64 years old and have fulltime guardianship of my grandaughter. This whole experience scares me and I have health issues. So I'm very upset at the way this is being done.

I was advised to use the services of shaw trust by my work coach. My work coach made it sound like it would be a positive thing, and I went into it enthusiastically, assuming it will help me start up my own business, but I am regretting it because of the unprofessional service that I am receiving. I honestly cannot believe the incompetence of my advisor, she kept badgering me about getting a self employed tax code (so basically registering myself as self employed even though I am not working yet), saying that she would be able to get me funding for advertising for my work, but once I had got it and given it to her, she back tracked and said because I don't have any clients yet, I cannot receive funding to advertise, um , if I already have clients, why would i need to get outside funding to advertise? This makes me certain that there was some monetary gain to her from registering me as self employed!
Also, i don't appreciate having to constantly repeat my situation to her, and it going in one ear and coming out of the other, like when I tell her certain times are inconvenient for me to be doing online trainings, because I have to go and pick up my son from school, yet she still books me on to them regardless. Or, she tries to force me into things that I don't feel confortable doing, like contacting organisations that deal with something I am not equipped to deal with and advertising myself to them!!! Or being patronising and comparing her own personal situation to mine. OR googling different grants I can use, as if I can't use google, and then most of them she hasn't even read through, to know whether i can apply or not, one of them was a US based grant, and others were out of my age bracket or expired. And on top of all this , she is completely ignoring the fact that i have an unfinished training course that i am on and I wanted to finish it to help me with starting up my business, as if this is an unnecassary part of my progress. I am sick of this organization to be honest and I will be speaking to my work coach to end my working from them, I don't need useless information or to be talked down to or put in uncomfortable situations, just because they have something to gain.

I highly recommend Shaw Trust services, the offered great valuable advise on my complex case. The service provided was very personal and the person who I spoke to took great deal of interest in my case. This is indeed a great service for which I am very grateful , thank you

Harassing with some stupid calls/emails and ghosting after.

I have had a really good experience with Shaw Trust, they have helped me back into work by supporting me through the back to work scheme. With regular phone meetings and helpful advice and support I have been able to find employment again. I have also received encouragement from Shaw Trust to upskill and go for an apprenticeship that will help me to progress further in my career. I can honestly say this experience with Shaw Trust has been really valuable.

Shouldn't even give this any stars, pointless, im being pushed every week by my support worker, im in the middle of doing a course that I am enjoying and that will help me get a better job within the hours I can do, due to childcare.the staff are so rude. Physically felt bullied into doing an interview yesterday I had no knowledge or experience in, after explaining I wouldn't be able to do it etc. They then start using my daughter against me saying "your daughter would want you working" (she is 5 years old)
They start turning my words around So I will tell the job centre your not looking for work" I explained how I wanted to finish my course to gain more experience and have a better chance of getting a job. "No the course isn't your priority you don't have to finish it"

I am looking for work with the hours that I can do
The tone the support worker was using was diabolical, harsh toned and so rude. She told me to not put any barriers up while at the interview because it will affect the relationship between them. Last time I would not be able to do that job

AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!!!
