Ordered a pair of Prestige Oxford Shoe..and waiting 2 weeks to arrive but when I called to them to chase them the lady was nice and give me a tracking number and once arrived I was very happy with the purchase they are looking very good for the price I paid.

I have purchased many items of clothing from Samuel Windsor over the years and have found cause to comlain.

never received my tracking number nor notification of when the product arrives. And when I miss the delivery, Hermes charges 2 pounds more for redelivery

In writing this review I am in total agreement with Edward James. The quality of goods that Samuel Windsor supplies are second to none for the price, and are always a perfect fit. Like many other reviews I have bought from Samuel Windsor for many years.
However the quality of customer service is appalling. Like several reviews I to ordered goods which were not supplied due to stock room issues, which in today’s digital age is unacceptable.
On contacting customer services I was given a carte blanche reply, which was not even signed. On recontacting customer services, I was given a much fuller reply, though still not fully answering my query. This reply was signed by Moses, and in the main was great customer service. Moses, as a good will gesture, refunded the postage on my order. As my query was not fully answered I wrote to Customer Services on at least 2 further occasions. In response I received replies which were again clearly scripted and not signed. These replies both reiterated the fact that my postage had been refunded, even though I had stated finance was not the issue. I last e mailed customer services around 10 days ago asking for my query to be passed on to complaints , I am still awaiting a reply or acknowledgment from the complaints team.
However I have since ordered some further goods on 03/07 which I am still waiting for. You may ask “why has he ordered further goods if the service is so bad” and the answer can be found at the start of this review.
5 star for the quality of goods 1 star at best for customer service with the exception of Moses.

Great value deck shoes. I always get my deck shoes from SW and they outlast all other brands I have tried. Would go nowhere else.

Really poor service. Bought two pairs of shorts for my elderly Dad's Fathers Day present on the 14th June 2021. Chased the order up on the 24th June as he'd still not received them, was promised that they would arrive within a further 3 working days.
Today I've received an email....
Unforeseen Stock Shortage

Unfortunately, when our despatch team came to pick and pack your order they found that this item was missing from the stock location in our warehouse.

Why have a summer sale if you cannot fulfil the expected orders? Why take four weeks to realise you have no stock?

What a very disappointing experience.

I've bought Samuel Windsor products for many years now. I've never had any problem at all. The moaners should stop moaning and give people a bit of slack in these strange times. Have you ever thought that hammering a company on Trustpilot etc might make matters worse?

Only recently discovered and have had no issues with quality and slightly later delivery not a problem It's not as if we are going anywhere!

Have used SW for some years - have waited for 14 days for two pairs of Chinos - emailed and received we will reply in 7 days - so called (paying 13p per minute for the privilege)to get through to a customer service operative who simply could not care less - basically like it or lump it. Sighing and uninterested !!!
Clearly 'punch drunk' if you cannot handle the order volume then refuse orders or be honest and tell people they will need to wait a month for delivery - very poor.

Used SW for many years with great satisfaction. Placed an order for 2 pairs of Chinos on 4 June to get the special discount; order confirmed, money taken and then informed the item I had really wanted was not in stock!

Communications diabolical but did get back the cost of the undelivered pair but that made the second choice very expensive considering the delivery charges!

Never again!! Wish I had read the reviews before ordering!

This company offers unbelievable quality products for amazing prices I have spent a fortune with them. Top quality leather shoes for 35.00 which would be 100+ elsewhere. Everything fits well for me, I have never had to return a single item of clothing.

It really doesn't deserve these bad reviews

Have used Samuel Windsor for a number of years and always been extremely impressed with the service. Sadly this is not now the case. Whilst lots of things have changed due to the pandemic, other companies are not affected in the same way. I have moved, ordered new furniture and had it delivered in a far simpler way than Samuel Windsor dealt with my last order during the pandemic. Ordered 06/06/21 and told all in stock. A few days later the order changed to complete but nothing arrived. I left if a week and after waiting 25 mins on the phone finally got through to someone who tried to help. He eventually said he would email the warehouse but didn't know when they would reply. A further week goes by and nothing. After another call Hannah in "customer services" admitted that they were struggling and that I needed to be more patient. During our conversation, she sighed a number of times, told me that "we don't have time to keep answering emails" and basically I should be grateful to receive my order when it arrived. The impression given was one of couldn't care less, and that really it was an inconvenience to have to deal with me!! I finally received the order along with an email to say that one of my items was now out of stock. Sadly what had been a great experience in the past has changed dramatically, and it will be a long time before I consider using you again. Other on-line outlets have adapted far better than Samuel Windsor. It takes a long time to get a good reputation, and only a few seconds to loose it. A customer care refresher course for some of your employees wouldn't go amiss!!

Great products, great team. Don’t mind waiting longer for delivery for great products. Long standing customer and will continue to buy from here for shoes as long as I can

Can't believe the bad reviews - I have spent around £1000 in the last 6 months with this company. Why? Excellent products that fit well (for me anyway) at an incredible price - leather shoes with leather soles for £20 is a steal. Up until the last 2 months delivery was good too. Yes the last few months have been iffy but when emailed I always got a prompt reply and the issue resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. I shall be disappointed if this company does close down as it does represent unbelievable value when compared to its competitors.

I was recommended by an existing customer of Samuel Windsor. Ordered goods on 17th June.
Called customer service last week and was assured delivery will within the next few days. No delivery of goods.
Called customer service this morning, order is still in the warehouse and not sure when being sent out.
Spent £242. And no goods.
Hana of customer services was unapologetic and didn’t offer any reassurance at all.
I have requested a refund and was told they need to process once order is cancelled in warehouse.
Shocking service!!!!
I will not be using them again as they do not look after their customers and simply don’t care.
No communication to customer about delay or apology…..

I have been using these people for years right up to a couple of months ago without any problems. Good products, too. Read with dismay that they are closing.

I have always used Samuel over the years but never again ! 2 weeks to dispatch then another 8 days to receive it from Hermes ! No communication, customer service is shocking! They don't reply to your emails apart from an automated message! Customer service just tell you anything when you do get through to them on the phone that might I add cost me over £10 in calls trying to get answers to the whereabouts of my parcel! Premium rate never again!

Have used Samuel Windsor for a good few years and always been extremely impressed with the service, product quality and value for money but what has happened to them in the space of a few months! I totally understand the pandemic but other companies are not affected in the same way, long delays to delivery, no communication unless you seek it out via email and then they don’t reply within the time frame. Will not be using you again unfortunately.

I waited patiently for a delivery but eventually gave in and sent an email asking what was happening. I received an automated reply that it would take up to 5 days to reply to my enquiry about poor delivery. No doubt it was all down to "an unexpectedly high number of calls" (or else sheer bad administration!)

My wardrobe is full of Samual Windsor products and they have always been quite good, so it's a surprise to see so many poor reviews.....I just had an email flyer saying closing down sale which is sad, I hope they manage to do something to rescue the company
