Choosing the experience is easy, getting it less so

Choosing the experience with Red Letter Days is the easy bit.........then you enter the maze.

Red Letter Days is not the operator, so it has zero influence on the product . It sells you a voucher towards a product , which may change.

I bought a voucher for a Police Car drive. I had to redeem my voucher to the operator . I was offered lots of extras , which was not unexpected. The voucher price could have tripled.
I had then bought "another" voucher. I struggled to find the product on the operators website.
I am now waiting to see what I will be "offered" to use my voucher.

The concept of vouchers is good, sadly the implementation is poor . What started out as a pleasant though is now tainted by the hassle of trying to actually book it and the operator trying to relieve me of more money for extras.

Whittlebury Hall

We could not use the swimming pool until 4:00pm. We were sat around waiting. Dinner was at 6:30pm and was dreadful. Really poor 3 course meal.

Banging and shouting in the corridors until 2:30am and then hoovering began at 7:00am - so no sleep had.

This cost £200 and was not worth the money.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, I was not able to re-deem the voucher that was purchased for me as a present. When I spoke to the customer service chat was told that I would need to go back to the store. The voucher was purchased a little over a year ago from WH Smiths so I can not go back to the shop!! I tried to explain that the shop is no longer there but no solution provided. Really disappointing, I would definitely not recommend.

Would not recommend

Most of the activities are selected dates and days of the week, which really limits the choices.
I had to contact the event/activity as red letter days help was difficult to contact.

We had fun but would have been better to contact direct rather than go through red letter days.

I checked to book direct and it seemed cheaper too!

I would avoid.

Great support from Anelisa

Great support from Anelisa today on the chat function. Issue with my voucher which was resolved without fuss and a credit voucher sent via email within minutes. Thank you

firstly the gift voucher did not arrive…

firstly the gift voucher did not arrive at email address I ordered it for. The address was clear on my order and my confirmation letter. After speaking to recipient a week later I discovered not received. So contacted Red Letter - finding this is not easy! Started chat AI initially - as usual with these you have to keep repeating the details. Then asked to have person - The advisor was helpful & respectful however, it took over half hour going back & forth to get an outcome. The advisor told me that the email I wanted it to go to bounced back. I assume this must have happened originally yet I was not contacted with tis information. Eventually I had to agree to have the voucher sent to me & then I forward to the person I wanted to go to. It hasn't bounced back as yet. There was an apology but nothing else. I always note that these issues were always solved quicker when speaking to a person & apologies always sounded more sincere. I have lost a lot of faith in Red Letter Days with this. Not that it did not arrive but, that they did not follow up on that & then let me have a long 'chat' to sort.

Event 5 Hotel 3 (at best)

The Murder Mystery event was 1st class. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The actors were marvellous and the other guests at the event on our table were fab. What wasn’t fab was the hotel that we chose to go to. We chose the Heritage Warbrook House Hotel unfortunately, and whilst the property itself is set in gorgeous grounds, the Grange, which is at the rear of the main building and a short drive away, was far from welcoming, comfortable or functional. I certainly would not stay there again, however I would most certainly attend another Murder 57 event again
