There website portal / app is not fit for purpose and they have registered a claim when I had no claim in order to push my premium up I call this fraud !!!

Chose this company / brokers as they were MARGINALLY cheaper than renewal from another company taking into account TopCashback payback.
As other people have said, they require a lot of documentation that I've never had to do before.
There was an issue with my licence being transferred from an Australian one in 2014. They wanted proof of previous driving record. Without proof there would be a £49.14 fee to pay. The DVLA had sent the licence back to Australia and trying to get proof from there was expensive, administrative nightmare and time consuming. I decided it would be easier to cancel the policy (it hadn't yet started) and revert back to the renewal from last year. I called to do this & the fee was waivered.
They then wanted proof of NCB. I had to wait for the previous policy to end then send it.
They claim that I selected 20 years NCB when all I had was 3 years. I THOUGHT I selected 3 years but maybe I got it wrong.
So the policy started 2 days ago. The NCB letter from the previous insurer could only be sent now as it had to wait for the previous one to end.
I am now told that because of this discrepancy, there's a £126.48 fee to pay. This is close to the £185.88 for the policy in the first place!
I called to cancel the policy as that was ridiculous.
After trying a few times to call and no promised callback, I spoke to someone who said that with all their cancellation fees I would actually OWE THEM money!!!!!!! (The policy has been going for TWO days in which time the car hasn't even been driven!). They waived the additional amount I would owe them. Generous!
I am now at the point where it's cheaper to pay the additional fee than cancel and get another policy elsewhere.
My gripe is all of these fees for a policy that's only been in existence for TWO DAYS - no cooling off period?????
The fees are in their Tc & Cs to their credit & maybe I did fill out the form incorrectly but such a nightmarish experience.
I will not ever use this company again.
Way too much of a faff to get them the docs they want, one of which (the NCB one) can only be provided AFTER the policy starts so you're stuck!!!!!

They charged me an additional premium of £198.96 because of a claim that has been open since 2021 when I showed them proof that it wasnt our fault. Avoid at all costs. You will end up paying the same as more expensive and better insurance companies.

Terrible, terrible! I supplied them with proof of my claims as requested, they came back stating that it was in 2022 (within a year). I gave them they updated proof as requested, also my insurance went up a lot. Not only that, but I now have received an email stating that my insurance has gone up regardless. Also, asked how much to cancel insurance? I was told £180 plus even though I have not been with them a month and did put down a deposit.
They are crooks, and you can hear call centre staff talking to other clients and swearing.

OK so I wrote a review a couple of weeks ago and nothing has got better since..if I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Had a non fault accident a few weeks ago I have been paid out for my vehicle and had a courtesy car and that's now been returned. I phoned yesterday to transfer the policy onto my new vehicle and got told that the company wouldn't insure me on my new vehicle so they would have to find me a new one. The new company were to expensive so I got told that if I didn't want to go ahead with the new quote there would be an £80 odd cancellation fee. So when I phoned back to pay the cancellation fee I got told that the original insurance company aren't even aware of the accident even though I've been paid out, that their accident management company aren't even aware of the accident even though I've had and returned the courtesy car and that if I don't want to go ahead with the new quote I have to pay the remainder of my policy plus cancellation charges. Seriously people go and pay more for your insurance elsewhere if you have to you'll be glad you did! I genuinely can't stress enough had bad this place is. I've never dealt with such incompetence in nearly 20 years of driving

The trick is simple - offer cheapest car insurance on comparison websites and a novice customer will buy from them without reading their reviews.
The real story starts after you bought now. They'll send an email asking for loads of documents (5 years of history, DVLA history, code etc) to be sent after the start of the policy. They'll look for a minutest mistake you may have made e.g. spelling mistake, Date of car purchase, DoB or anything. They'll send a threating email that they are cancelling your insurance because you have committed the fraud by giving wrong information. The customer panics and call them and they become rude and suggest you pay extra and they'll move you to another provider. I asked for cancellation and they deducted £142 even when the policy was in cooling off period. When I confronted them on cooling off period, they send a text about their terms and conditions.
DO NOT make a mistake and take any insurance from them even FREE.

False claims of excessive speeding on 2 occasions and cancelled policy after 6 months of 5 star rated driving on the app. When reviewed the 2 claims, found out the alleged 30mph zone were both in fact 60mph zones and I was doing 56mph and 57mph. Sent them videos, photos, marked up maps of the 60mph zones, but still cancelled the policy and cant talk to anyone about it. Struggling to get cover now because of the cancellation. Be Warned

I recently sign up recently with them. They waited until I was several days into my policy to demand my NCD despite the fact that I paid my annual subscription several weeks before it officially went into effect. Now in uploading my NCD I made mistakenly of uploading a previous NCD rather than the most one(I am quite dylextic).Then I started getting emails that I will pay additional £200+. Few days later the cost jump to £400+ that was when I realise I had uploaded a wrong NCD. Anyways I managed to my recent NCD but couldn't upload on the portal because it locked out. I managed to send it by email to customers service then I started getting all sorts of queries about why I should have not uploaded the wrong NCD. I told them about me condition of Dyslexia that affects my comprehension yet they would not have it. I became totally stressed out because of barrage of questions that I asked for a cancellation then boom at the blue I was told that I will have forfeit £200+. The apart the fact that their Customer service are so rude, condensing and insensitive. Please folks avoid this insurance company.

My premium was doubled as I was told my no claims was invalid as I didn't use it for 2yrs .Also I got a text from them saying to call,I called an they couldn't see a problem, so I took the chance to change my address and they put a charge on it and I wanted to end ties with this awful company an another charge ,in the conclusion I had 1mth left to finish payments ,I continued but the direct debit continued with the payment for change of address, I was not spoke to in a kindly fashion I felt like a defendant. Terrible just don't go find a good company that appreciates your custom ,these don't. 1 star was only to proceed true is no stars .You've been warned.
