Are you kidding me? First reduction from 500 points to 300, now withdrawl at 1000 points? Do the side have new owners? Once a very good and fair side, now trash!

I am just repeating what lots of people have been saying in recent reviews. Pinecone used to offer interesting surveys that paid very fair compensation for the time invested, but now the 'rewards' are paltry, if you manage to finish a 'project' at all. On top of that they have become quite aggressive if you have not completed a survey for a period of time, even if you were screened out, and pressurise you to complete your profiles. Also, you now need have a minimum of £10 worth of points for payout which at the new rate of points offered is almost unachievable.

After being a member for 10+ years - during which Pinecone seemed very professional and well organised - I am done. Since the new website came into being I have been offered and quickly responded to at least a dozen surveys. I have been allowed to proceed, answering plenty of questions (sometimes upto 15 minutes worth!), then screened out because either I didn't qualify, or they had enough people with my profile. I have not managed to complete a single full survey since the website changed - but they've picked up a lot of free info about me. Feel like I'm being scammed, so I'm out.

I've been doing Pinecone Research surveys for a number of years and it always paid a fair £3 per survey, but since the new website upgrade which is supposed to be better they are now offering £1 & & £2 for surveys and some surveys last almost 30mins. Also they used to send out products to test, this hasn't happened in years neither.

I have been doing surveys for about 20 years now and have never had issues with getting rewarded but since the revamp of their new upgraded system it's now appallingly bad unusable. I click the links as soon as I am sent an email and it either says survey now closed or it's buggy and doesn't work. I have just under £10 and now they have removed the paypal option and the minimum amount to get your money out is £10 I just cannot get to this as the surveys do not allow me to do them!!! Not worth the effort...

I've been a member for years and while it used to be good, recent changes mean you now barely get paid for your time and the data they now want is incredibly intrusive. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Ever since they updated the website / platform, I've taken part in 3 or so surveys and upon hitting "complete survey" at the very end, I get screened out and told "sorry you weren't a good fit".

It's been an absolute waste of time - literally completing the entire survey only to find it was all for nothing when I click on the final submit button.

After being with Pinecone Research for decades where the surveys were of a higher standard and in depth and the rewards were very good and fair for the imput, they have now turned in to a farce. They recently launched a new website and to say they have greatly reduced the rewards is an understatement. Also there is so many things going wrong with the website. This is so insulting to all the Pinecone members who have been with them for decades. My time is worth more than the rewards they are now offering so I am not bothering with them anymore.

I recently reviewed Pinecone Research and gave them 1 star. However, since the review I have for whatever reason actually started to receive a lot more surveys come through and I haven't been screened out. Long may it continue! So I have updated this review. If it goes downhill again I will update it again!

The new "improved" website means that what was once one of the most reputable and honest survey sites, has been transformed into yet another site that kicks you out as "not eligible for survey" after having spent 15 mins of your time answering the questions. Absolute scam - shame on you Pinecone. AVOID

I completed surveys for Pinecone for many years, even gave them a great review as recently as 2024 However that's all done.
After announcing their new website and asking some very intrusive questions they insult us by offering 100 points per survey (used to be 300) and today was the final insult for me, 75 points for a survey.
Take a jump Pinecone Research, I'm out.

Je suis tellement déçu, de moins en moins d'invitations, et lorsque l'on en reçoit aussitôt elle est complète...
Ensuite j'avais des points en banque, en attente d'en avoir suffisamment pour les échangés, pour remarquer qu'à plusieurs reprises , ils me font des négatifs ,donc je n'arrive plus à atteindre un minimum... TELLEMENT DÉCEVANT !!

I'm not sure if Pinecone are incompetent or acting fraudulently, they have now dropped from offering 300 points (£3) per survey to now offering only
100 points (£1) per survey for their estimate of taking 15 minutes, they actually take more like 25 minutes and the surveys are “push” surveys, unable to give accurate answers

It’s trust pilot for a reason. Do not use. In the last 3 days I’ve had 3 surveys sent to me and as soon as I’ve clicked the email which is within less than a minute after I get a notification, the survey is strangely full already. I would imagine at this point they are trying to mine data from peoples devices so I would avoid clicking into any emails or links sent by Pinecone research. Avoid avoid avoid.

Very disappointed about new “exciting “ website. From £4 for a survey or product test to £3 and now pennies for endless surveys! I’m off, this is too time consuming and just became like many other sites.

Pinecone Research has brought out an exciting brand-new membership experience designed with its valuable members in mind... who can now answer surveys for 50 or 100 points, rather than the previous 300 points. What a gift.

I'm beginning to think all these companies are scams. They set up, let people use their time to provide thoughtful feedback to receive a kickback and then, after someone has spent up to an hour and a quarter of their time, tell them at the end they aren't eligible for the survey so they don't have to give the surveyors anything. Shame on these scammers. The worst part is the surveyor has no proof to bring a complaint to anyone. I'm bringing this to Citizen's advice and also contacting the company for whom the actual feedback was for.

I’ve been a member of this survey site for years, regularly completing surveys and occasionally testing products. It used to be reliable and I actually received points for the surveys I completed.

However, since they’ve recently “upgraded” the website, the experience has become extremely frustrating. You can spend 10 minutes or more filling out a survey, only to be told at the very end that you don’t qualify and receive nothing for your time. It feels unfair and like a complete waste of time.

Because of these changes, I’ll be closing my account as soon as I redeem the remaining balance. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this site to anyone anymore. It’s just not worth the time.

Despite contacting Pinecone twice about not receiving a pre paid card for £48 I am still waiting!

Very disappointing as it took me a while to save up the points! Disappointing as this used to be a good research company to deal with!

Please be aware that Pinecone Research is about to undergo a rebrand on their website etc. They are probably pushing to detach themselves from these awful reviews and feedback. Please, anyone reading this - don't fall for it. They will lie, they will promise, they will attract with shiny deals and 'fun quizzes' (apparently!). It's all nonsense - they want your time to earn themselves a great deal of money at your expense.
