I’ve been a member of Pinecone for that many years the payment first off was in fact a paper book if luncheon vouchers! I like many others find the reward (if you finally get accepted for a survey) very poor £1 for 20 mins. I was disappointed before when it went for £4 down to £3 now the payouts are so poor . Now it’s barely worth the effort. Definitely a change for the worst 😠
This company has ran itself into the ground
This company used to be so great I've been a member for over 26 years. They always used to pay on time & were friendly & courteous in response to queries etc. But they've never raised the pay rate in all that time & last year they even had the nerve to drop the payments from £4 per survey to £3, with very cold like it or lump it matter of fact manner email, no negotiating. Add to that all of a sudden I was getting screened out about 3/4 through a survey which never happened before and so of course no payment at all, not even a partial one for time spent and information given, how unfair! Earlier this year they revamped with a new app promising 3 x the earnings more ways to earn with polls & quizzes which have been very few and very poorly paid indeed .. 1 point per quiz which equates to 1 p each ! The surveys now vary on the points scale some are only 50 points some are 300 and again screen outs make it very difficult to get any completed to earn points. Now to add insult to injury they've raised the minimum cashout level to £10 without telling anyone in advance and for the final insult they are not adding points to my total. I need 250 to cash out and leave. Finally completed a 300 points survey and they won't add the points and refuse to answer emails about it the lack of real communication is frustrating. All you get is a generic robot reply then nothing done. This is the final nail in their coffin for me . I never asked for anything extra, only what they owe me. If they ever add my points I will cash out and leave. They've totally trashed what used to be a great little side hustle and was once considered the best.
Closing My Account After Many Years
Been a member for many years. Since they migrated to the new website I haven't qualified for a single survey apart from one today which I was screened out for!
Apart from the 135 points I earnt for completing my profile on the new site, haven't earnt anything. Not even worth responding to the emails now. You now need 1000 points to cash out but each survey seems to offer very few points, and that's assuming you even qualify which I don't appear to most of the time. At this rate it will be years before I accumulate enough to cash out. Previously you could get 3 or 4 surveys a month each worth 200 or 300 points with the ability to cash out at 500 and this would give you a decent sized Amazon voucher. Impossible now.
It seems you can't even close your account yourself so have raised a ticket to request account closure because it's basically rubbish now and not worth my time anymore.

I have been a long time member of UK site and when I signed up I got £4 per survey which you could cash out via PayPal. Then they dropped this to £3 per survey , still could cash out via PayPal. Now it's points and only 100 or 200 a time ! I've had six surveys offered to me and answered straight away only to be told survey is closed or I didn't qualify after answering questions! Also you have to reach 1000 points to cash out now! Not a happy survey taker and think I'm done with this site! Shame on you Karen!!!
Pinecone Research has lost its way
I have been with Pinecone Research for over 10 years. During that time, I have received regular, really interesting surveys, with rarely a glitch in sight. However, in the past few months, I have only received few surveys and of those most have screened me out. I did successfully completed one survey which took some 20 minutes, not the 10 in the email, but never received any compensation despite contacting them providing them with details. I’ve received one today, the email said, ‘A new 10 minute survey is available and offers a reward of 200 points!’, clicked on the link only to be told it would take approx. 25 minutes, the screen then provided some weird information about my location and IP address, then screened me out. I can’t believe how poor this site has become. So disappointing given that it’s always had such a good reputation, but reading other recent reviews, clearly I am not alone. They need to get it sorted and fast!
Sadly a very poor experience these days
I have been an active member of Pinecone Research for many years. Originally there were interesting surveys and products to try and feed back on. Then gradually the products stopped and so did the frequency and quality of the surveys. Recently I have been increasingly frustrated by surveys which don't load, cut out after a couple of questions or offer a very small reward of points for the same time required to do the survey. I am at the point where I am considering quitting all together. Whoever runs Pinecone Research these days is doing a terrible job!

What a load of rubbish this Reserch company is now! I have been with the for 10 years! Until they change the hole set up it’s a bloody joke am just trying to contact them to try and get my £8 that I so desperately need but you can’t even contact them?? Or they don’t reply Thanks Karen Scot for nothing it’s so wrong how you treat people I could only imagine that the Taliban treat people better than you lot I just want my £8 then I will delete my 10 year account beware if you are wanting to have your opinion and make some extra cash DONT USE (Pincone )
Absolute Waste of Time
I have been a member of Pinecone research for several years and never had any problems. They had great surveys which were fun to do with great rewards and even sometimes getting samples of products to try. NOW, however, they have changed their system and it is awful. Complete waste of time. I used to get a lot of surveys now, I get one or 2 but I waste a good 15 mins of my time completing a survey when I then get told I do not match the “criteria” all of a sudden when, actually, that is what your profile is meant for!! Don’t bother contacting them either because you just get fobbed off with the same crap every time!! Also the rewards have got really poor, they do not allow a bank transfer anymore and they do not allow you to redeem all of your points at once so you are left with useless little amounts on each gift card!! They are American and I get the feeling they are trying to get rid of anyone who isn’t in the US!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!
What has gone wrong
I have been with Pinecone for over 20 years and seldom had a problem. Since they changed their system and website, I have completed surveys, which have been accepted, to then have a message that says there is an error in the system. Needless to say, my responses have never been recorded so according to the system I did not complete the survey. When I try to claim I get told a load of rubbish about my system and that the project numbers I quote are not valid. I even name the products the surveys were on I still have the emails to prove my claim. Really fed up and not worth the effort anymore. Plenty of others in the sea!!
Totally unresponsive
I used this site on a regular basis for a few years and had no trouble earning and redeeming rewards, however, since they modified their website, it has literally been impossible to log in or communicate with anyone. I have no idea if they still exist but using their new website is practically impossible!!!

They've been less frequently available over the years, but still enjoyable to take part in. That is...until the recent update/overhaul. It's now a total waste of time. I've been screened out of every single survey so far, sometimes after sinking over twenty minutes into them. I am no longer going to bother even trying. It's the end of a long-standing relationship, Pinecone and I are officially separated :(
Awful survey site
Awful survey site. You can spend 10mins on a survey and it then screens you out. I've completed 2 surveys only for them to screen me out right at the end and when I complained they said this happens.
It's a waste of time and they clearly use your answers you put in for the 10+ minutes before screening you out.
I didnt get the email to select my reward
I didnt get the email to select my reward, which took ages to build up. I have submitted 'contact us' forms 7 times- all I get back is either they have resent the email (didnt get it again) or a list of the actions to claim the reward. They obviously dont read the 'contact us', replies sent automatically. Since they changed the way you redeem they are diabolical. No other way of contacting them in the UK, they dont care. AVOID them

Sorry to say I am yet another longstanding Pinecone Research UK user who, since the fairly recent relaunch, has had repeated survey offers (including reminders) which I have completed all the way to the end (typically 10-15 mins), received a thanks for my answers, then a 'you didn't qualify' or 'we've interviewed enough people' message
Trying to raise a ticket is a nightmare if you no longer have the survey number. If you do manage to raise a ticket, you get an autoresponse and then a follow up email that does not credit you, nor explain why you were screened out
Advice to prospective users - don't bother
Advice to existing users - cash out now (if you can ... it's now £10 minimum - another 'enhancement')

leider um einiges schlechter geworden. auszahlung von 10 euro gutschein hat funktioniert. nur gibts jetzt nicht mehr immer 300 punkte für die umfragen. und paypal gibts wohl auch nicht mehr. war früher besser
Rude Customer Support and Terrible Survey Site
I’ve been a member for years and until recently everything was great. However in the last few months they’ve updated their website and, as others have said, everything’s got significantly worse. You get paid less for surveys, constantly get screened out, surveys don’t work. Also the customer support is extremely poor and rude. I recently completed a whole survey and was screened out after spending 10+ minutes completing it and being told my answers had been recorded. It took 3 emails to get past the copy and paste responses and then they closed my ticket without helping. Finally did get the points added but it took about 6 or 7 messages and threats to escalate it further which is just ridiculous. I’ve also just looked at my profile and seen they’ve revoked points without telling me and seemingly for no reason. Strongly recommend not to use this company!

Früher gab es 3 € pro Umfrage 👍 und heute gibt es Punkte wären 300 Punkte eigentlich kein Problem aber jetzt bekommt man z. B 75 Punkte sind 0.75€ Cent pro Umfrage 100 Punkte (1.00€) ihr seit einfach nur lächerlich Wahr bestimmt 5 Jahre da. Ich verstehe die Grenzenlose Gier bzw Geitzigkeit überall egal wo weniger Punkte hier dort usw Bin raus account löschen fertig was soll sowas bekommen den Hals nicht voll. Schade hofftlich gehen tausende Menschen raus löschen ihren Account sollen sie selber Umfragen machen für Paar Cent na ja bin enttäuscht. Macht weiter so besser 5 Cent geben pro Umfrage kommt noch in paar Jahren. 😡
No longer what it was…
I've been a member for years and used to love it, but not any more. The website has been updated and screen outs are common. Also they have displayed 5*reviews from members on their website which given the comments here is a bit misleading - they certainly can't be reviewing the current system and I notice they're not so keen to link to Trust pilot reviews!

Are you kidding me? First reduction from 500 points to 300, now withdrawl at 1000 points? Do the side have new owners? Once a very good and fair side, now trash!
Used to be great - not any more
I am just repeating what lots of people have been saying in recent reviews. Pinecone used to offer interesting surveys that paid very fair compensation for the time invested, but now the 'rewards' are paltry, if you manage to finish a 'project' at all. On top of that they have become quite aggressive if you have not completed a survey for a period of time, even if you were screened out, and pressurise you to complete your profiles. Also, you now need have a minimum of £10 worth of points for payout which at the new rate of points offered is almost unachievable.
