Nous avons acquis deux paires de lunettes Maui Jim, une pour mon épouse, l'autre pour moi-même. Le confort des verres est indéniable mais la fiabilité est à revoir ( pour ma femme, monture qui s'est rapidement cassée par rupture à l'articulation des branches, pour moi-même verre droit fendu ).
Dans le cas de mon épouse, les montures étaient de type souple.Dans mon cas, le fabriquant estime que c'est dû à un choc. Si choc il y a eu , il n'y en a aucune trace visible par un oeil lambda, j'imagine que le fabricant ne ment pas et qu'il a donc dû utiliser un instrument type loupe pour affirmer cela !
Quoi qu'il en soit , et compte tenu du prix très élevé de ces produits, compte tenu de la réputation dont se targue le fabricant, le produit est largement surévaluée par ce manque de fiabilité et cette grande fragilité.
Very disappointed
Unfortunately, less than a month after receiving my glasses, the screw came loose and the lens fell out. Given Maui Jim’s reputation for premium quality, I was very disappointed that this happened after only around 20 days of use.
I was also disappointed that a replacement pair was refused despite the glasses being so new, and that only a repair was offered. In addition, I was required to pay the postage costs myself, which added further frustration to what has already been a disappointing experience.
As someone who had always viewed Maui Jim as a high-quality brand, I honestly expected a much better level of customer care and resolution for a product that failed in such a short space of time.
Maui Jim Co. bait and switch
I emailed and contacted Maui Jim co. through their email and through their contact us links. I asked if my MJ-502-02 could be repaired,as when I went on the site and started the process-it said the were discontinued. They told me that yes,they could repair them(the temples and the nose pads would be free,just shipping).
I then proceeded to order the repair and also ordered new lenses.The total was around $95+change. I then shipped them through USPS ground advantage with tracking/insurance as stated to me($12.50). They get the sunglasses and then I receive an email stating the they have exhausted their inventory of parts due to them be discontinued. I told them I asked ahead of time-before sending them in. They offered a 50% discount through their website. I asked for the $12.50 refunded(shipping/insurance) and to not be charged for anything. Then they offered a 75% off.I was also told that they would not be shipped back to me until 5/4/26. The next day I received an email they were shipping them back to me. This company pulled a bait and switch on me in the first place,by telling me that they could repair them and then in the second place,shipping them back to me before I had a chance to order a discounted pair.

Fast forward 7 years and I snapped the arm off them, I was gutted. Contacted Maui Jim who emailed me instructions on how to return for repair. I sent the glasses and a couple of days later had an email to say they'd been repaired and serviced. The only cost was for secure return postage. I'm so happy with the level of service I have received from Maui Jim.

This review is for the Maui Jim repair service. I recently paid $95.25 to replace the scratched lenses in my Ocean tortoise sunglasses. The repair service is not even close to what it used to be. I had used the repair service in the past and was pleased. However, this time there was little to no communication, the glasses were returned to me without a plastic covering and no cleaning cloth, and they were loose and stretched out. All of this for $95.25. I will think twice before sending my sunglasses to Maui Jim repairs again.

I recently sent my sunglasses in for repair, but unfortunately, the package was lost by FedEx. I was worried I'd be out of luck, but Maui Jim’s customer service was incredible. They took full responsibility for the situation and immediately made me a brand-new pair of sunglasses. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their customers like this. Highly recommended!
Excellent customer service at Maui Jim
I had a minor problem with the coating on one of the lenses on my sunglasses, which were 18 months old. The sunglasses were a birthday gift, so I didn’t have a receipt and couldn’t prove date of purchase. They staff at Maui Jim were excellent . They dealt with my issue in a sympathetic, fair and professional manner. I would like to give individual mentions to Katherine Elliot and Tony Barron you are both a credit to the company.
Excellent after care service
Excellent after care service! I had a pair of sunglasss that I had damaged the lens. They were discontinued but they still have replacement lenses. Sent them off and they were back returned to me like new within a week.
Fantastic communication, paid the price they had quoted. Really impressed. Thankyou guys I can now wear my favourite sunglasses again!
Polarized lenses started delaminating…
Polarized lenses started delaminating and they do not offer a warranty after 1 year. The replacement cost for the lenses would be $100 for the pair

When I called Maui Jim for service on…
When I called Maui Jim for service on how to send in a frame for new prescription lenses I was "axed" to take them to an authorized dealer to get a prescription and have them sent in for "Maui Jim Rx Lenses". When I handed them my glasses at a Maui Jim authorized dealer after their eye exam and prescription, the Lens Crafter sales agent said that they could not send them in because they did not carry my "Maui Jim Style of glasses. What difference does that make? So I called the Low I.Q. people at Maui Jim and told them the the story and they told me to find another Maui Jim Dealer that would do that for me. The low I.Q. people at the Peoria, Illinois MJ Headquartes think that this is good customer service. I don't think so. Does the parent company of Maui Jim know that these low I.Q. people in Peoria, IL are destroying the Maui Jim name that I have been purchasing from since 2003? What kind of ignorant rules and policies are these low I.Q. people in Peoria imposing on their dealers?

I don’t often write reviews but in this instance it is justified.
Firstly I have been very impressed with the product and having owned various Oakleys for many a year I find my Kauai channel sunglasses far superior.
Having had them approx 2.5 years the nose bridge rubber became detached.
I reached out to Maui Jim uk repair centre and had a very quick response detailing what I needed to do.
My glasses were boxed up and sent off - and were delivered back to me within 4 days.They look as good as new.
No charge.
Thankyou Maui Jim for outstanding customer service.
No question which brand I will be recommending in the future.
AWFUL
AWFUL! $700 for prescription lens that less than a year later lens finish is rubbing off. Customer service was RUDE and basically said they "DO NOT CARE". I have 10 yo OAKLEY lens that have been dragged, dropped, kicked and run over than look better than these. DO NOT BUY MAUI JIM!!!!!!!
Don’t buy from Maui Jim
I bought a pair of Alika sunglasses, and Maui Jim sent me a scratched pair of sunglasses. Returned it to get an exchange and the second and third pairs were still scratched. I did return and asked for my money back. Still haven’t received the money and when I called Maui Jim, customer service said that they have not evaluated the sunglasses yet. The worst experience ever! Don’t buy from them!
Avoid Buying Maui Jim Sunglasses
I purchased five pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses over the years. I purchase the product because of their built in readers. Sadly, the lens film on 4 of the 5 sunglasses deteriorated within a year of each purchase. In one case, I even paid to have the lenses replaced, and the film on the new lenses also deteriorated. My Oakley, Rayban and designer glasses through Luxotica have never experienced the same product deterioration. I live on the beach and while their built in reader feature and styling attracted me to the product, the quality is severely lacking.
Not fit for purpose
I treated myself to an expensive pair of prescription lenses at over £600 . I do look after these very well and only use them in the car for driving ,However I recently noticed a haze on the inside .
The opticians said this cannot be repaired and the replacement cost is over £550.
Here is the reason ...it was caused by my EYE LASSHES!! FFS . £600 for glasses that can be destroyed by EYE LASHES you have to having a laugh ..- I wont be buying anymore
