More than a generic response …
I purchased an LG Outdoor Lounge Set in 2019, obviously expecting it to provide me with many years of service.
Each autumn the furniture was cleaned, dried, covered with a breathable cover and stored in my garage until April/May. This year I was disappointed to note that the rattan weave material began to perish and snap. Although extensive, it is predominantly on one chair and the coffee table. The sofa seems unaffected at this time. Admittedly, the furniture is out of warranty, however, I did not expect this level of deterioration to happen within this time frame.
After contacting LG Outdoor requesting possible reasons/advice regarding the sudden level of deterioration they have basically stated a generic response - ‘ It can be difficult to determine the exact cause of deterioration, exposure to environmental factors may affect its longevity.’
They did however offer to provide a quotation for replacement furniture!
Regrettably your customer support and commitment to customer loyalty have not met the standard I expect as a consumer.

Our LG Outdoor furniture is supplied with a three-year limited warranty, and as your set was purchased in 2019, it is now significantly outside this warranty period.
We appreciate that you had hoped to enjoy your furniture for many years, and we understand your concerns regarding the condition of the weave.
Unfortunately, the longevity of outdoor furniture can vary depending on a range of factors, including environmental conditions and the circumstances in which it is used and stored, making it difficult to determine the exact cause of deterioration.
While we appreciate this is not the outcome you had hoped for, we have offered to provide a quotation for replacement furniture should you wish to consider this option.

Rotten rattan
We bought the Andorra 2 seat garden set three years ago. We are very disappointed with this product. We found that there is only a short guarantee period. The rattan on both the table and chairs is disintegrating to such an extent that we no longer feel safe using them. We expected them to last at least 5 years, especially since we paid extra for the aluminium frame, paying £457.99 in total. We now have the prospect of buying new garden furniture and will certainly not be using this supplier again.

This is a review of the "Grillstream SmashGrill 4 Burner Plancha Grill".
This is a fantastic looking grill and for a few months you will have fantastic grilling.
However the 10 year limited warranty is misleading. Basically anything that isn't subject to any actual use, is covered. The grill plate it's self has only a three year warranty.
There's a genuine reason why the grill plate only has a three year warranty, and that's because that's probably as much as you'll get from it so please ensure you are clear you are buying a product that will only last 3 years. If the company believed in the grill plate it took would give everything a 10 year warranty.
The issue is after about 3 years the entire grill plate will be covered in thousands of tiny rust spots. The reason is because the steel used is too cheap and isn't suitable manufacturers for this use. To hide the cheap, poor quality steel preperation they coat it all in a nonstick ceramic coating to give you the impression it's good quality and to hide the deeper issues. After about 3 years, as the steel isnt of good enough quality it will start to corrod and eat through the ceramic coating.
I've tried to discuss a warranty claim but as I can't find the original paperwork the company gets away with failing to take responsibility for their cheap manufacturing techniques.
Update: You can clearly see from the passive aggressive tone of the reply below just how this company treats customers when they have issues. Good luck making any claim!!!!

We would, however, like to clarify the circumstances surrounding your contact with our Customer Service team.
Your initial contact was a request to purchase a replacement flatplate. Rather than immediately advising you to purchase a replacement, our team provided cleaning and maintenance advice which may have helped address the issue and avoid the need to purchase a new plate.
You subsequently contacted us to make a warranty request. Our team have asked you to provide proof of purchase so that we can confirm the original purchase date and establish whether the product is still within the applicable warranty period. At no point have we refused to assist with your warranty request.
The 10-year limited warranty is clearly detailed within the instruction manual supplied with the BBQ.
The manual explains that the warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects, while also setting out specific warranty periods for individual components.
For the SmashGrill 4 Burner, the flatplate has a 3-year limited warranty against corroding through.
It is also important to note that the manual specifically states that the flatplate requires regular cleaning and care to maximise its longevity. It advises cleaning the flatplate after each use and highlights that the non-stick surface is not entirely scratch-resistant. The manual also explains that corrosion can be affected by factors including dirt, grease, inappropriate cleaners and a lack of routine cleaning and maintenance.
We therefore do not believe it is accurate to suggest that the 10-year warranty is misleading or that we have simply refused to take responsibility.
We are more than happy to assess a genuine warranty claim, but we first need proof of purchase to confirm the purchase date and applicable warranty coverage.
We remain happy to assist once this information has been provided.

Spooktacular NOMA lights and excellent customer service
We recently bought several sets of NOMA Colour Changeable Remote Controlled String Lights, including both the 100 and 200-light versions, for our autumn and Halloween displays, and we absolutely love them.
The range of colours and effects is fantastic. The vintage gold gives a beautiful warm autumnal glow, while changing to a single colour such as red completely transforms the same display and gives it a much spookier feel. There are also lots of preset effects to play with — if we were having a Halloween party, the strobe setting would make for an awesome Halloween disco!
We’ve woven ours into ivy garlands with autumn foliage and decorations, and the dark green cable hides really well amongst the greenery. One useful tip if doing something similar is not to bury the control panel too deeply, as we found the remote works best when it isn’t surrounded by too much foliage.
The timer function is really handy too. Ours now come on automatically each evening — and have become my reminder that when the lights come on, it’s probably time to stop working!
We did need to contact Leisuregrow customer service about part of our order, and they were brilliant. They responded quickly, were extremely helpful and arranged replacements without any fuss. It was really reassuring to see such good after-sales service.
We’re delighted with the lights and the service we received. They’re incredibly versatile, and we’re looking forward to watching our displays become progressively spookier as autumn turns into Halloween!
