Dominic and lewis did a great job in getting my garden room up. The 1st day was awful weather raining constantly. I thought it would delay them but they worked there socks off to get it finished on the second day

Michelle was very thorough when explaining the garden room at the Thurrock showroom. The whole experience was as promised.

My order a Hub garden room, executive package. I was informed it took 2 to 3 days to complete. I repeatedly asked if that was all my add ons as well. Yes they said. First untruth. 2 or 3 days was just the basic room. Time span for everything was about 6 weeks. Plasterer came left skirting boards loose against the wall. Plasterer said the electrician will attach them. Electrician didn’t have any trunking for the wires to the ceiling spot lights and said it was not his job to attach the skirting boards. On a windy day my granddaughter noticed some of the roof blowing up. Phoned Johnson’s about the issues. They sent out a man to put things right. He found the roof shingles were just lying on the roof not attached. He fixed this and the skirting board and trunking. No one seems to know whose job it is. Very unprofessional gave alot of stress. Left behind a load of wood and 11 bags of cement.

All good right from the start. Paul and Jackie in Enfield, and Vicky in head office were really helpful and on the day Dom and Lewis did a great job. I would certainly recommend Johnsons. The garden room is looking brilliant.

Just had a great chat with Ian from Royston show room, explained everything to the finest detail . We will return in a few weeks once we have our move date to secure our cabin install . Welcoming friendly and will return in due course . Appreciated

Excellent service from Johnsons from first visit to order then construction, an extremely professional and courteous team, we are extremely happy with our new gardem room, the Vista model.

The whole experience has been made joyful and easy from the help we experienced in choosing the most appropriate room for us to the building of it. It was assembled beautifully by Ryan and Terry- who could not have been more efficient, punctual and utterly delightful. We genuinely could not recommend this company more highly.

We had been thinking about purchasing a garden building of some kind for a considerable time when we approached Johnsons Garden Buildings for advice. Arrangements were speedily made for a visit from Kurt at the Eastbourne site. He could not have been more helpful, understanding and kind. After measuring up for our choice of garden room, we realised that there was not enough room in our back garden to have what we had chosen so, bearing in mind that we are also considering the possibility of moving to more suitable housing to accommodate my husband's newly diagnosed multiple sclerosis, we reluctantly decided to postpone a purchase of this nature. We nevertheless highly recommend this company for their kind and caring attitude and for their professionalism, and will not hesitate to go back to them if and when we are in a more appropriate setting.

Our experience with Johnson’s Garden Buildings has been outstanding from the outset. From the initial first visit to the showroom @Harlow and the team there ,the planning stages, and the installation team building it all, the service has been outstanding.

Visited the Turrock showroom a couple of times before ordering and spoke with Michelle. She was extremely helpfull and knowledgeable abouth the products. I explained what i wanted and what it would be used for and she explained the whole process to me so that we could choose the right package for us. Had a visit from Henry to do the survey, he explained everything that would happen and again was very knowledgeable. It was a pleaseure to order with you

We purchased our garden building last summer - I was reluctant to review it until we had lived with it for a sufficient time and we have now done Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring in it I think its fair to leave a review. We had been looking for a suitable building to house a fully functional gym for some time - there were various garden buildings from some very good companies however after visiting the Woodcote Garden Centre in Wallington (now Dobbies) and having a discussion with the very excellent no pressure sales team. We decided to go ahead, its an expensive project and I wasnt sure if JGB would be able to deliver on what we were hoping for. However I can confirm that they completely met and exceeded our expectations. We have a smith machine installed which with weights and people probably comes in around 500kgs to 650kgs and the wooden base (which comes as part of the package negating the need for a concrete base) and flooring have easily held up. This is not including all the other free weights, running machine and cycle plus I have a 22 year old who loves nothing better than dropping some seriously heavy weights onto the floor and we have protected it with some 10mm rubber matting but I can confirm that this out building/ summer house has taken some stick and not been damaged. The installation was quick and painless I think it was done in under two days, delivery could have been problematic as they did need to pass some of the wood through the house due to poor access so dont worry if you also have poor access they sales team will visit and check this out for you and its unlikely they wont find a solution. The build team Graeme and Ryan.F were brilliant and worked super hard to get the installation in and completed in record time (without cutting any corners) - A couple of things to note, we dont get a lot of airflow through the building as all the openings are on one side however this does maximise the space inside for all our machines/ equipment etc. I have a dehumidifier, a fan and a heater - if we could have afforded it we would have purchased the wall mounted fan/ dehumidifier and heater as this looks good and will do a better job of cooling on a hot day. The inside temperature can range from 35.3c in peak summer to -2c in winter (without a heater) a decent fan heater gets you upto around 6c in about 10 minutes and by then you can probably switch off as you are already warmed up. All in all this is the best money we have spent - I would recommend going for the biggest one you can get and the most expensive package you can afford - we had to do the electrics and painting ourselves but we had the money we would have let them do it.

Shamed for breastfeeding! I visited your showroom today which is situated within Hilliers Garden Centre, Eastbourne, and while walking around having a browse my newborn started crying as he needed a feed. Thinking on my feet I sat down in one of the cabins on a leather sofa (which did not have any sign on it!) and which was old and battered anyway, and fed my baby out of the sunlight and in a seat which was comfortable. We were not harming anyone and nor did we deter any other other customers as we didn’t see a single other soul looking around at the cabins the entire time we were there! Anyway, mid-feed, one of your employees (a 6ft-odd big bald bloke) marched towards the cabin and said aggressively “can I help you?” I answered that I was just feeding my baby and he said “there’s baby facilities up in the garden centre by the way” I said “is there? Where?” And he answered “up in the cafe” he then looked at my mum, who had simply moved an armchair to turn it to face me, and he said “can you put that back when you’re done” (again, very aggressive and rude which is not easy to convey on here). I was not comfortable with him talking to me while I was vulnerable and feeding and upon me telling him that I was feeding he should have walked away. In the year 2025 are we seriously still having to justify the importance (and difficulty) with breastfeeding without having blokes coming up to mums to scold them on their choice of where they’re feeding?! I found it equally sexist and creepy. Furthermore, we went back up to the garden centre afterwards (separate to yourselves) and asked a member of staff if there were any breastfeeding facilities and they confirmed that there absolutely was not anywhere to specifically feed a baby. When the member of staff at Hilliers asked a few further questions she was utterly outraged and immediately went to fetch the manager who has confirmed he will escalate this to your head office, and in Hilliers favour, he told me that next time I visit I can come and find him and he’ll let me use his office instead!
