Bailey Calvert looked after us the whole way through the process. We were buying from Canada so we had something to drive when we arrived. This was super easy and Bailey was super helpful. Can’t say enough good things about GC. Don’t go anywhere else!

Having bought many cars in the past, GC Motors stands head and shoulders above the rest. Rob was excellent in answering my questions over the phone. Having made an appointment to see the car, Rob was waiting for me, no sitting around waiting. The car was accurately described and exceeded my expectations. No high pressure sales talk for the car or extras that main dealerships try to push. I received a fair price for my vehicle and the necessary paperwork was handled quickly and efficiently. The ethos of this company appears to be centred on offering great customer service with vehicles that they are satisfied will look and perform as you would expect. I opted to have my car delivered, it arrived on time and although nearly 4 years old had been prepared to look as new. Delighted with my Porsche Macan Turbo and cannot rate this company highly enough.

I had been looking for an Audi E-tron on and off for about 6 months, wasn't really in a rush to buy one, but saw that GC Motors had a potential car.

Although some distance from me, it didn't matter as the spec, age, mileage and colour was exactly what I was looking for.

Spoke to Matthew Hopkins, who was courteous and knowledgeable, and a day or so later left a deposit.

Arranged a collection day, and throughout the process, Matthew kept me informed, and even picked us up from the train station.

Car was exactly as expected, and more, beautifully presented. The journey home was great.

I've been looking at a new car for the past few months, I was after something very specific, I finally narrowed it down to 2, 1 with main dealer and 1 over at GC Motors, I got in touch with Rob, he was very pleasant, easy going and good with communication, he answered all my questions, there was a little room for negotiation and ultimately his charisma won the deal, I made payment for the vehicle and took a train down from London to collect the car, met Rob in person, had a good chat and drove my new car home. I'd like to thank Rob and hopefully hel get some acknowledgement from this review. If your looking for a new car I would highly recommend GC Motors.

First class team helped us buy our car in a very efficient manner, even though we were 188 miles away. From first contact with Matt it only took a week to trade-in and collect our new car. Laura was great with Admin and additional insurance options and Martin in Service was exceptional, with after care provision, allowing us to have an issue dealt with at a local garage, rather than travelling back to GC Motors.

As soon as I made an inquiry, I had a response. The communication from both Neil and Laura was fantastic. Even sent me extra videos etc. From start to finish it has been a pleasure to deal with such a professional company.

Super easy to deal with no hassle Neil was super professional and a genuine guy

The worst car-buying experience I’ve ever had.

After agreeing to purchase a car from this dealer, everything went downhill fast.

Delivery disaster:

The car turned up after a 5-hour drive with a windscreen plastered in flies, seemed odd not one washer clean. When I cleaned it myself the next day, I found a large chip right in the centre of the driver’s view, was the driver trying to hide it. It also had badly mismatched paint and bad panel gaps and loose trim on the front bumper — clear signs it had been in a bump.

Broken promises & miscommunication:

I made it clear from the start I needed the car delivered, and paid a deposit on that basis. Then Pete stepped in saying they don’t do long-distance delivery — contradicting Justin who had just bragged about a delivery to Aberdeen. Complete internal misalignment.

Endless chasing on trade-in:

Despite my trade-in passing an Audi MOT and a specialist inspection with no advisories, they kept requesting unnecessary proof — including brake disc measurements. I sent micrometer readings and written confirmation from the specialist. I even offered to walk away as it became a bit of a farce, but was told they didn’t want to lose the deal. Other dealers were offering more for my car with none of the hassle. Communication was consistently reactive — I had to push for every response.

Potential Privacy breach & no accountability:

On the agreed deadline I gave them to confirm or cancel the deal, I was contacted by strangers on Facebook asking about the RS6 I was “selling” on a trade page! How did they get my details? When I raised it, the salesman gave me a speech about how they “underwrite” older vehicles — no apology or explanation for the potential breach. Ironically, one of those strangers offered me £2K more than they did. I should’ve walked away.

Condition of the car:

The car they sent had clear paint mismatch and misaligned panels and loose trim — even a basic walkaround would’ve revealed it. It’s bad! I was promised a call from Pete while the delivery driver was still present. It never came. The salesman later called back and said, “It is what it is.” Eventually, the driver receives a message ‘they will offer a bit of a refund’ — just lip service to leave. After that: silence. I’m now 3 weeks down the line. Photos of paint available on my lovepetrol insta page.

Lack of paperwork:

No service history, inspection checklist, or paperwork to back up their “checks.” Just a copied green keeper slip I had to ask the delivery driver for. For a nearly £50K car, that’s unacceptable. I’ve bought and sold cars long-distance before — this isn’t how it’s done.

Zero aftersales support:

I was repeatedly told the manager, Pete, would call. He never has. Meanwhile, my trade-in was on Autotrader within days for 25% more than they gave me. They’ve won both ends of the deal and couldn’t care less about aftercare.

Final word:

They might tell you “we sell hundreds of performance cars a month,” but customer care clearly ends once the payment clears. I’ve since found many similar reviews. Social media hasn’t allowed customer tags since 2020 — clearly trying to dodge visible backlash.

I deliberately didn’t chase them after delivery to see if they’d reach out about the refund. They didn’t. I chased them again days later — replies suddenly slowed compared to the sales process. We are 3 weeks down the line. I got an email saying ‘the day has run away from me’ but not a single attempt to call. Maybe he’ll find the time, since he’s had time to reply to Trustpilot reviews.

I contacted the DVLA a week later and they had not even been notified of any change of ownership. Again had to chase. It takes two minutes online. I’m assuming they were waiting for the 14-day return period to lapse.

Buy at your peril.

As written in previous review sales men where great love the car ….. after service has been very bad eight weeks in and still don’t have a resolve of my issue. From the head of the service department Don’t believe this is the site to do that. I am simply looking for purchases who have experience issues. Please record if you have not all ready done so !
