Fitzgerald's Bed Centre Anmeldelser 

We bought two beds from Fitzgeralds Beds in Spalding. On the day of delivery the two delivery men took no care at all. They marked the walls on the stairs, took a chunk out of the wall outside one of the bedrooms and a large chunk of wood from one of the panels on the bedroom door. It was only after they had driven away that we saw the damage.

I telephoned Fitzgeralds Spalding shop and was told by the manager to send photos by e-mail and this would be passed on to customer services. He showed no interest at all in the fact that his staff had come into my property, caused damage and left without telling us what they had done - all he kept saying was that customer services will deal with it.

It is my opinion that once this company have taken your money no interest at all is shown either by the shop or customer services if anything goes wrong.

I now intend to speak to Trading Standards and then take advice to see if any other action can be taken against this company for the damage caused to my home.

At the time of wring this review, 5 days after delivery, I have heard nothing from Fitzgeralds.

Social media is also another option I am considering, to include photos of the damage etc, to let people know that if you let Fitzgerald delivery men into your home you should check for damage before they leave.

I would recommend Fitzgerald's to anyone looking to get a new bed. Fiona managed to get me a fantastic deal and the customer service was second to none.

Purchased my new bed 2 weeks ago and was delivered yesterday (3weeks before I was quoted) I was over the moon. The mattress is so comfortable and I wish I had purchased years ago. The sales staff were both helpful an knowledgeable. when my bed was delivered it was installed and the packaging including the old bed was taken away, which was a massive help as I am no spring chicken anymore. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and I will deal with again in the future.

I bought a new mattress from these people recently, which has given me terrible lower back ache. The attitude of the “Basil Fawlty” character who called me back today absolutely stank. He seemed to enjoy telling me it was “my choice, therefore my fault” and he seemed to revel in telling me that they do not offer a “comfort guarantee”! When I challenged his uncaring and contradictory comments and customer service standards, “Basil” just wanted to quote the small print at me. I feel incredibly badly let down, I feel duped and bitterly regret having tried to support this local business. But there’s nothing remotely funny about this lot and based on my personal experience, I’d recommend you do yourself a massive favour and have nothing to do with them.

Great overall service from ordering my new bed with Ian in store to the delivery. They also collected my old bed and took away saving me the hassle of having to do it. Very friendly and helpful staff, would definitely use again.

NEVER use this company. I pride myself on always using local companies where I can but this was a huge mistake. I ordered a bed from their Stamford branch. They didn't have any in their show room but I spent sometime with the shop assistant looking for grey fabric beds. I ordered the one I liked which was a picture of a grey/mink coloured bed. the colour was described in the details as mink. What was delivered can only be described as a light beige/cream. I made a complaint and asked for a refund; they told me it was my mistake and I shouldn't have ordered from a picture. I was told that mink is cream and that is what I had ordered. They offered to take the bed back and give me store credit for £350 which would have meant I lost £100 pounds. I felt the customer sales manager (Ian from the Spalding branch) was rude and refused to take me or my complaint seriously, even though I told him I was seriously unhappy with their customer service (I had spent over £1,000 with them including the mattress). Frustrated, I asked if they could just give me this £100 as discount instead and I was told this was not in their terms and conditions. At this point I put the phone down. There is no reasoning with this company. I am furious I have been treated this way by a local company, next time I will go to John Lewis! The only redeeming feature of this company were their delivery drivers who were very professional.

Awful aftersales, terrible aggressive phone manner of their Customer Service Manager who also made libellous claim, belligerent MD. Did not honour 5 year guarantee on a mattress bought 3 years ago.- completely washed their hands of my plight resulting in me having 2 purchase another from elsewhere.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!

Purchased a bed and mattress a couple of years ago, however it has now sunk on one side. Sent an email to them asking for advice on how we go about making a claim under the warrantee, email was ignored. Sent another email 3 days later showing them the fault
again... ignored!
Terrible customer service and aftercare, would definitely think twice about buying and recommending here.
