We have had this printer for three years and have found it to be excellent in all aspects of use, with one exception.
Today, my wife wanted to print out an A3 poster (in colour) and we were not sure exactly how to go about it. We decided that the best course of action was to examine the online instructions but unfortunately they were difficult to follow, especially the tiny diagrams on which the letters and numbers were mostly unreadable. One section suggested that we should remove the rear cover plate and take out a board, which was nothing more than confusing and achieved nothing.
We did eventually manage to print out A3 posters by simply using a trial and error method.

Instructions - pointless

I bought the WorkForce WF-110. It is an complete nightmare. Everytime I want to print something is wrong. The printer heads needs cleaning until you run out of ink, the maintance box is full etc. and now installed a new firmware that prohibits the use of non-epson ink, except it also prevent the use of epson ink. If there were any fair competition this company would never exist. Avoid at all costs.

What a waste of time and money, I set up an ink. Account with Epson, paying £1.99 a month, I have only had one set of cartridges from them, I was not printing enough so I cancelled the account, and now I'm locked out of the printer, got on to Epson today, only to be told I have to put new cartridges in the printer, so I have paid out for nothing, buyer be aware, don't fall for this scam, again another company trying to get every penny out of us, if your thinking of setting up an account don't do it, I can't even use the ink I have paid for, they have you all ways, I only bought Epson products but not no more will buy another brand now, good by Epson 😠 I'm not dull, I would say I have paid for these cartridges, but now your saying I don't own them 😠 but hey up new printer on way, I won't even put this one in, won't subject any one else to Epson.

I had a Epson print account paying £1.99 a month, paid it for a long time had only the cartridge's I got first from them, I cancelled the account as I was not using it enough, now when I have been trying to use the printer it won't work, spoke to Epson to day, and have been told to put new cartridges in, so I have now paid for some thing I can't use, buyer beware, Epson are one big CON, I always bought Epson but not no more, all I have done is paid for something I can't use,
So if your thinking of setting up an account, think again 😠thank you Epson, do you think I'm dull, I paid you monthly and used very little over my subscription time, I would say I paid for these cartridges but now you are saying I don't own them, it's a CON in anyone's eyes, and your reply shows this, by the way you have no remorse about the problem, but hey up new printer on way 😁

Their phone lines usually don't work, and customer service is virtually non existent I am trying to get cash back on the printer I recently brought from printer land
but they are making it so difficult they, Epson, not printer land, don't even deserve one star!!!! no doubt they will make returning it another time wasting endeavor. How comes they get away with it?

They replaced my new printer for what I can only assume is a refurbished, which wouldn't be a problem if it worked! The cartridges are XL and half full.

Anyway, I went through the set up procedure, it connected to my Internet, did a firmware update then put a big x through the printer icon and announced communication error.

Every light on the printer is now lit up as an error and it can't find the printer. Factory reset doesn't work. Another useless printer when I have important printing I need to do urgently.

Was given a phone number to call previously, that just goes through to answerphone (yes I've left a message) but having to resort to this again. Not a happy customer.

I bought a replacement ink tank printer .The same model as the one I had that had packed in .Went to Currys and was told I would get £40-£50 back from Epson just had to follow a link .Did all that but never got any cash back .Thought it strange , why not just reduce the price by £40-£50 instead of this unnecessary system .Now I know it's because they have no intention of paying .Next time I need a printer it will not be Epson .Was contacted after this review , but nothing improved .And set up was ridiculously difficult .Gone from thinking to know .

Tried to get help with choosing the best setting on a new inkjet printer. After going round in circles with the AI 'help' eventually I got through to a person who told me that he couldn't help because I wasn't using Epson paper and that his advice was to buy Epson paper. He then cut me off! So don't bother asking for help from Epson. Utterly useless.

Edited on 18.03.25. Following my review I was contacted by someone at Epson offering support. Very nice of them to do that but it was too late, and the support should have been there when I went looking for it from them rather than in response to a complaint. Anyway, the printer I wanted support for is my second Epson Ecotank printer. They are good printers and have saved me a small fortune in ink. Changed the rating from 1 star to two stars following the call back.

Shima was very rude and unhelpful and kept telling me to look for something that was not there, giving me wrong information but was very pushy and rude, customer service respect was 0% this is what happens when you get customer service in Egypt, she refused to put me through to a manager or someone else, in the end, I had to explain that she had me looking for something that wasn't their and making me feel like I'm an idiot when the Epson scan 2 is downloaded as numbers, she had no patience, she was awful women, hope the managers see this review and how she refused to put me through to someone else that I must only speak with her, shocking, also today spoke with robin, Amir, still no working printer and why are these people in Egypt so dam rude. they must really hate us Westerners, yet the UK business continues to give work overseas to people who hate us, a bit like what the government are doing in this country, allowing these people to come to the UK with hate towards the Westerner

After reading other reviews, I was dreading calling Epson Customer Service but I was pleasantly surprised. Emailed a 'fix' whilst on first call, went through steps (did not work). Called again and with no quibble they are sending a replacement within 2 working days. Just for info ET 2810 went into 'recovery mode' after WiFi change and stopped working.

Don't purchase anything from Epson as they have no interest in creating sustainable products which either support the environment or add social value to the communities within which they operate.

Devices are "throw away" and the ink cartridges you purchase through the Ready Print do not transfer to replacement printer.

What shocking service from Epson.
My printer was upgraded from a HP to an Epson ECOTANK with a cash back offer attached.
They make it near on impossible to claim the cash back by using the excuse that the proof of purchase is not good enough.
Well i would have thought if it was a new printer had just been registered and a copy of the invoice for the printer was sent , what else is there to provide. its all a scam. Had I seen these reviews before I ordered I would have gone back to HP.

Bought an Epson ET-8550. Had a few issues from the word go. Reached out to customer service and got cut off. Picked it back up again a few months later as no better. Used the chat support. Had my issue escalated and an amazing person called JEAN made multiple attempts within 24 hours to call me and help solve the problem. Judged the issue on the facts and merits and solved my issues with warranty replacement solved within 36 hours! Back up and printing with all problems solved!
Jean gets 5 stars, Epson lost 1 star for it breaking in the first place, but they sorted it!

I have just been in contact with your representative in Egypt , Robin, I purchased the printer which she was post to have six months free ink, last month I will charge £15 and told to upgrade it so I’ve gone over my pages, I upgraded to the 300 page one and was told that I wouldn’t go over this month, but I will was not told that the free trials promotion good and if I upgraded, it’s terrible service from you and he has cost me £50 so far to print about 200 pages I’ll be grateful if you could take this printer back and refund my £50 I spent and the printer back

Have been trying to use an Epson ET-8550 for a couple of years. Absolute rubbish. The worst printer I’ve had in 40 years of printing. Unless I use it more or less daily the ink heads clog up. Wish I’d seen all of these negative reviews before I bought it. Will never again purchase Epson.

Help non-existant. They do not care about helping customers. My printer is being returned and I certainly will not buy Epson products again.

Signed up to Epson Ready Print so i never ran out of Ink - well i did and it took 5 days to get the cartridge to me so had to buy one to get me through. This service is meant to monitor your ink and despatch them so you never run out. I then cancelled the subscription to the service as it was a joke and i have worked out that i have spent twice as much than if i carried on with buying my own. They stopped my machine working till i replaced all cartridges with others purchased from Amazon. I now have 3 half used cartridges (i had only run out of Black ink) and a set of unopened ones which technically i have paid for but cannot use. Don't sign up, it is a rip off.

It’s rare I leave a review for anything but I feel so strongly about Epson ! Absolute disgusting customer service you get from Epson. I have been a customer a few years now and started with the readyprint subscription, so far into it they kept saying there was a problem with my few quid monthly payment, everytime I tried re-submitting my card to pay it wouldn’t let me and then they kicked me off my plan even though the problem was at their end, I found out why though… Because I had to start a new subscription for less pages but the same monthly cost ! I did this because they would not discuss and blatantly said I had to start a new subscription but they have you where they want you once you have purchased a printer from them. Now I have just moved house and had to change my bank account address aswell as name at the same time and the payment didn’t go through, so they have sent me an email saying they will try to take the payment again in the 12th March but I’ve gone to try pay it earlier and they have kicked me off my plan again, and guess what, you guessed it, I have to start a new subscription at a higher price for less pages again ! It’s not even about the few quid a month, it’s the principle ! They are sneaky and deceptive! It’s the injustice of it. And you can NEVER get through to speak to someone on the phone ! I’ve tried 3 numbers this morning and none ring out ! An absolute nightmare of a company to deal with ! Honestly, don’t buy from them, go elsewhere! I begrudge starting a new subscription now and would rather smash the printer up with a hammer than give them another penny.

Absolutely disgusted by Epson and their control over a printer we purchased! We bought the printer and signed up for an ink ready plan which gave us 15 pages of prints per month for a monthly fee , we were not printing very often so cancelled the ink plan to find out that the printer won't work now without us buying more cartridges directly from them! Money down the drain, and an absolute con!!!

Drucker druckt nicht!
Ich versuchte ich wieder zu drucken. Problemsucher druckte dann vier Seiten mit mit einem diffusen Test aus. Jetzt läuft der "Spoolerdienstfehlersucher schon 20 Minuten....das ist neu bei diesem so kreativen Drucker der sich als Kopierer hervorragend geeignet....als Drucker nicht soo sehr.
Ich kann es immer noch nicht fassen, dass ein solcher Drucker auf dem Markt ist. Ich hatte Epson gefragt ob ich gegen ein besseres Modell tauschen kann. Es kam keine Antwort. Vermutlich habe ich das bestes Produkt erwischt!!
.....der Fehlersucher läuft immer noch.
Ich kann es nicht glauben.
Ich habe schon so viele Beschwerden geschrieben, keine Reaktion.
