Avoid at all costs if you want a professional, timely experience with good customer service and communication. They were recommended to my son by his mortgage advisor as a first time buyer so we thought it would be an easy process, it was anything but.
Three times the same documents were lost after I had hand delivered them, calls and emails were not replied to and he was charged stamp duty when he shouldn't have been. He still has not received a reply to the email he sent last week asking for a refund.

It was terrible and please please please never use this company

I am a first time buyer and this has ruined my experience. I have had an offer accepted at the end of March, it has been nearly 5 months and still waiting for it to be finalised. Myself and the seller are not in a chain so should have taken half the time. Either there is the excuse that they are waiting for the seller or they are waiting for my paperwork that I have sent in (I do it as soon as it comes to me). I have very rarely been in contact with them and so it makes the process very slow until my mortgage advisor had to speak to their manager. They have lost paperwork many times that I have had to resend them. I have made sure that I have followed instructions that's on the paperwork that say's to put it on to your e-way account or to post it which I have. They then change their mind and want things posted and with tracking on it as well. If I will be moving again I will do my research first and find someone local that is recommended by friends and family.

The sale under probate of my uncle's shared ownership property was always going to be complex with the issue of a lease to be considered and the involvement of a buyer, a housing associaition owning the freehold and myself selling the lease. Nasreen Akhtar as my solicitor did a fantastic job, being knowledgable, calm and responsive throughout the ups and downs of the sale process. I always felt she was in control, realistic, honest and supportive and we completed the sale as smoothly as was possible. I would be very happy for her to act for me again in any future sale or purchase of property.

Cheryl was such a good communicator and very efficient. She explained every part of the process and made the sale of our late father’s home feel easier!

Communication wasn't always great.
Sometimes felt that issues weren't flagged until the last minute.
On the last few days we had Cheryl England who was absolutely brilliant! Wish we had worked with her all along! Her Communication skills were excellent and she got us over the line with my late father's house.

My experience seems similar to many of the other negative reviews, despite the form being recommended by two estate agents.

I accepted an offer for my sale and had an offer accepted for my purchase in January, we’re now in August. I’ve had 4 conveyancers in that time.

Hollie Pomford took over the handling of my sale the day before we were due to exchange and complete (10 weeks later than we should’ve) and I had more contact and communication from Hollie than the previous two conveyancers combined. I doubt we would’ve completed had it not been for Hollie.

The previous two conveyancers responded to a fraction of voicemails and emails, and when they did reply, they only responded to one point/question raised, ignoring everything else. I had to resort to daily chasing and still communication did not improve.

They were both reactive rather than proactive and needed frequent chasing from my buyer’s solicitor, who also reported they were often ignored.

The seller’s solicitor have been and continue to hold up the purchase, by failing to provide all information requested, but neither of the two previous conveyancers nor the current one handling the purchase, appear to be proactively chasing, reviewing information in a timely manner, or communicating effectively with the seller’s solicitor to expedite the matter they have all relied predominantly on written correspondence rather than verbal communication in order to achieve completion.

As a result of the lack of priority given to my case, I have had to proceed with the sale separately as it was at significant risk of collapse. This has meant temporary accommodation and storage costs, not to mention the unbelievable additional stress over and above what would ordinarily be stressful enough.

We are still no closer to completion as the two solicitors firm cannot communicate effectively to ensure all required information is provided.

I accept the additional complexities when management companies are involved, but this is still something that conveyancers deal with every day and should be competent enough to work together to manage. There have been other apartments sold and completed in the same building in the time I have been waiting to complete.

I intend to submit a formal complaint.

I would like to personally thank Lisa for her kind assistance on Friday afternoon. There was an error made by another solicitor, and the case was not one of her files. She took the call professionally and acted to resolve the error promptly. I would like to pass on my thanks for her kind assistance, as she went out of her way to help fix another colleagues error, and her help did not go unnoticed.

I must confess Megan Koxha certainly allowed an easy and efficient service for my mum's bungalow.

Megan was patient and understanding even during my own problems and she helped bring the whole episode to a satisfactory. I would highly recommend Megan.

Jake Osbourne was the conveyancer for our recent sale and purchase, he was always on hand to help and was very professional and easy to talk to.

Poor communication. No continuity of service with any one person.Very impersonal because of Corporate size of DC Law.Could not possibly recommend DC Law.I will definitely go elsewhere when I need a solicitor in the next two months.

Nasreen was enormously helpful with our parents house sale. What turned out to be a difficult transaction due to the other party was made manageable and less stressful by Nasreen's support and drive to get the sale completed.

This review is purely on the work my solicitor, Hayley, did on both selling my property and buying my new apartment. She kept me updated on both sale and purchase progress along the way, working tirelessly and conscientiously to complete on both. I cannot fault her commitment to achieving this despite delays on receiving responses to queries in the final stages. I think that without Hayley’s perseverance and dedication I would still be waiting to move in!! Thank you so much.

Hayley Geall was amazing throughout our whole Experience from selling to purchasing. We had a very rocky road but (due to things out of ours and our solicitors control) Hayley was there at every step of the way.
