Excellent tea and service as always
Excellent tea and service as always. Tried some new flavours this time. Loving the mint chocolate tea, really good. Also like the convenience of the pyramid bags.
Cherry sencha tea is already a favourite and haven’t opened Rose Congou yet.

Gorgeous tea
The mental image of a Russian Caravan site sparks notions of relentless strength, foggy atmospheres and staunch characters. Though this is a fitting comparison to the tea which I have been enjoying recently, it is not the origin of its name. In the 18th century, the gruelling six thousand mile journey that tea merchants pursued on camel ‘caravans’ (groups of travellers together) would often cross paths with campsites with warming fires billowing smoke into the dusty air. This smoke would often be absorbed by the cargos of tea being carried from the Chinese border to Eastern Europe and give it the signature flavour which we indulge in today as a Lapsang Souchong. This blend by the charming Cheshire Tea company boasts some beautifully balanced and earthy black teas from China, Sri Lanka and India which work together to give you the best of each origin. A mature, oaky Chinese leaf which is rounded off and smoothed out by the velvety Indian choice, this is then brightened by an almost fruity, sharp Sri Lankan tea. All together, these are three big characters who succeed in not overpowering or combatting each other’s strengths thanks to Cheshire Tea’s masterful measures. The smoky flavour rings like a stone walled fire place roaring away on a cold December night. Nostalgic notes of bonfire nights, firework displays and autumnal markets spring to mind with this soothing yet robust liquor. The black tea taste hits immediately and fills the senses with that familiar rush of woody leather which is followed by an intoxicating breeze of fireside air. This is not a choking or cigarette like smokiness, I must add. This is a smoke which reintroduces the romance of fire like Prometheus sharing the God’s secrets to aid mortals in our search for comfort and tranquility. This is a tea which will lift you up like the aforementioned bodies of smoke, weightlessly reaching their full potential.

Pyramid Teabags
I ordered the peppermint tea from Amazon and it was so smooth and just delicious. (Ive not liked some in the past)
I then came across the official site where they were on offer so I immediately ordered all the pyramid teabags to try.
I have to say the mint chocolate is my favourite, it’s just a wonderful taste And I’m definitely going to stock up on these.
Delivery was fast and the packaging is lovely if you wanted to give as a gift.

The tea isn’t as fresh…
The tea isn’t as fresh as I would expect. For the price I was hoping for better quality. The package was dispatched two days after I had placed the order and since it was a Christmas gift, I was worried it wouldn’t arrive in time. There was also no gift options so the person receiving the package could read the contents from the box.

Thanks for your feedback.
All of the tea is fresh when imported by us as it arrives in vacuum packaging, once processed and placed into our packaging it has a 2 year shelf life. We use resealable and compostable Kraft packaging and we heat seal each pack for extra freshness.
Also the teabags you ordered are vacuum flushed and extremely fresh until September 2024 in the sealed packet.
As for the dispatch date, you ordered on a Saturday. We are open Monday-Friday and have collections daily during opening hours. Your order was dispatched Monday. We are not a mass produced operation. We are a small independent business.
There was also a large red banner at the top of the page which stated as long as you ordered before 21st December then it would arrive before Christmas.
I’m sorry we have never offered gift options. However, we don’t display the prices on the dispatch note. The parcel was ordered by you and dispatched to you in your name in discreet brown packaging. The dispatch note with the package contents is hidden inside a plastic sleeve.
Any problems can be raised to us by email and will be dealt by me personally.
