The Club was formed in 1907 as ‘The Caravan Club’. 110 years later in 2017 we wanted to reflect our broadening membership and became the ‘Caravan and Motorhome Club’.
We are an inclusive club, representing the interests of over 1.1 million caravanners, motorhomers, campervanners and campers providing our members access to over 2,700 quality campsites across the UK and Europe.
As the No. 1 rated UK touring club, our purpose is to help our members get more from the great outdoors.

Failure to sort out digital issues with renewals
The club is apparently committed to reduce its environmental impact, by encouraging its members to access membership cards, car and/ or motorhome or caravan insurance, and breakdown cover, via their app, but it appears that they do not have the technical competence, to deliver this service.
I have, within the last couple of months, renewed my car insurance, and my breakdown cover, for both car and motorhome. On both occasions, when I tried to access your app, to download my documents, the system would not accept my sign in credentials. I telephoned your customer services to report this, and was informed that you were aware of technical difficulties with your system, and you arranged for hard copy documents to be posted to me.
I have just today received notification that my caravan and motorhome club membership has been automatically renewed, as per my instructions, but once again, when I tried to access my new membership card via their app app, I was faced with the same message, regarding my sign in credentials, and when I then entered your help portal, considering difficulty signing in, I was faced by the same message I received a couple of months ago, regarding your technical difficulties with the app. It’s about time this was sorted.

We don't like how they've removed bins…
We don't like how they've removed bins around the site, a lot of visitors are slow getting around, and are keen to recycle but camc have made it difficult especially on a large site its a long way to get offsite to use a bin. BIG backward step

Where practical, we are introducing dedicated waste and recycling areas at our campsites to replace the smaller bins previously situated at individual service points. This initiative supports our commitment to operating with greater sustainability through the Green Tourism programme. Members and guests can drop off waste in passing near the facilities building or site entrance, with smaller bins also positioned alongside for ease of access. Although the club has great facilities…
Although the club has great facilities on their sites and a fantastic range of CLs the prices are not competitive. The website and app for booking are still very ‘clunky’. What really drives me mad is the fact that there is no information easily visible on how close the nearest bus route is and where it goes. As someone with limited mobility this is crucial for me in my decision making

Lovely quiet immaculately kept site
Lovely quiet site, well maintained and great facilities. Some pitches had a lake view. Showers and toilets were immaculately kept. The showers were fab, with plenty of room and you could control the temperature of the water required.
Carsington lake is a short walk away with many walks and cycle tracks around the lake and beyond.

HIGH SITE FEES
As the owner of a 'continental' caravan I have been maligned by some site staff and complained at and made to park the 'wrong way round'. I would also take issue with the level of club site fees which are often now well in excess of commercial sites to such an extent I am considering not renewing membership.

All the sites are very clean and tidy. They are located everywhere so is easy to find one which ever part of the country you’re in. The booking system is straightforward and they always sent good general emails out regarding caravan and Motorhome items
