I try to be as fair as possible with longstanding companies like Brooks Brother but their quality has severely diminished over time. I have a sweater that is about 15 years old... faded but still in tact with the threads. The new sweater I received as a Christmas gift is already shredding and it is just February. One of my favorite American brands is now only a memory.

This review is for the pair of "dark gray" wool dress slacks I ordered online. Order #20624166

I've sold men's suits. I know something about men's suits and the fabric used to make them. This fabric seems to me to be an inexpensive weave, certainly not the quality one should expect from trousers priced at $240.00. Moreover, the "dark gray", has a blue thread woven in... would look terrible with my J. Press blue blazer!!!! When I asked for a return shipping label, "Heather", in Brooks Brothers customer service, asked me to take pictures of the slacks I received so that she could consider whether to give me a refund. ME? TAKE A PICTURES? What, with my cheap Nokia? By the light the fluorescent lamp in my living room? For crying out loud! Professionals struggle to capture an image that accurately reflects true color and fabric texture. Evidently, Brooks Brothers is not even a shadow of the fine company I used to love. J. Press is going to be my go-to from now on. THANK GOD FOR PAYPAL !!!!!

The reason I am giving a one star (only if I could give -5 stars I would do it) because of their policies. I order almost $500.00 trench coat online. When I received it was well packed and nicely delivered. But soon I open the package it was nothing like what they shown in pictures. And material quality was really cheap. So I returned it. Brooksbrother email me to share my recent purchase review, so I shared my honest reviews giving 2 stars, and next day I got email from their customer services that they cannot post the reviews because of their policies, OH! so you want only fake and lies about their products. After that day I completely stopped shopping at Brooksbrothers store and online.

After three weeks still trying to receive a refund from an online order. This is despite emails to email address on their website, a visit to one of Brook Brothers stores, plus leaving a voicemail. Their Returns policy on their website doesn't ring true, stores don't seem to be aware or even want to attempt to accept a return. $800 worth of goods and I'd love a reply to emails, courteous service in their store or even a returned phone call.

CS@brooksbrothers... Customer Service has been non existent in my experience.

We have bought at least 6 of the mens pullover with button plaque nice feel sweater tops ($119. each retail.). Even tho they were dry cleaned they SHRANK. Brooks Brothers will not make good on these. At all. Our tough luck. Sticking with Eddie Bauer in the future.

Very poor customer service. I ordered a vest and received a pair of pants. Immediately contacted customer service, followed their protocol and was told I would receive the vest within 2 days. Never received the vest so I called customer service and was told that the order was never sent and it was unknown why it wasn't sent but I would receive it by the next day but that was not guaranteed. I asked to speak with the supervisor who informed me that the item was out of stock and has been out of stock and she did not know why I was told I would receive one. This was very disappointing as it was a Christmas gift. Really bad business. I won't do business with Brooks Bros again.

Nice stylish clothes for some events not sure why people are really so mad there anyway for all that matter. Do you know something which I do not know really for all that matters? Can we really terrible for all that much? I do get to let it down lately anyway. Maybe you do not fit to it simply.

Terrible customer service! Was never told until I called looking for the shirt I ordered it was Not available. Ordered new one, told it was overnighted, FedEx said it was home delivery service which is 3-5 days. Who lying to me and no one is taking responsibly!

Worst experience with customer service of a company. Such a upmarket, polished facade, without any of the expected courteous behaviour to its customers that goes with this image. Repeated emails and attempts to call with no success. Still waiting for the fifth time for an explanation about the delay of my order.

Ordered a sweater on 12/2 and five days later it has not shipped. Wasted money on expedited shipment since I need the item by a certain date. Customer service keeps giving me the run around. This will be the last time I do business with them. Stay far away if you need your items on time.

Terrible company, terrible customer service. Was on hold for an hour to deal with a bitchy lady. Would not shop here, it's not worth it.

I'm another person that would rate their online store with 0 stars. I have NEVER had so much trouble trying to purchase a couple shirt. RIDICULOUS! They emailed me a coupon code for 15% off my purchase. I tried to use it and at the very last step the system would kick it out the code.Talk about bait and switch. It's a great way to rip people off without them realizing it or noticing it later.

Just had to comment. Saw an ad for them on Facebook claiming 70% off. Didn't see a single product actually 70% off (and no the ad did not say "up to 70%." Went to leave a bad review and they DIDN'T allow reviews on their page. As the owner of a marketing company, I know that only companies that have a ton of bad reviews do that.

I've bought Brooks Brothers before, but never again. If a company that touts themselves as high quality uses false advertising to trick customers on top of preventing reviews, that tells me all I need to know.

They handled my questions after a bank hiccup well. Clothes are comfortable, though I wish many items were just one size larger in the women's section. I have only ordered over the internet so I cannot comment on their Retail stores. Would be nice if the coupons they sent me were useable online since I live so far from the stores...maybe some day...hinthint. I would also like to see more stylish "school" styles, sweater vests, ties! etc. in the Women's clothing section. Would love to have some of those classic styles to play with and feel professional yet quirky in rather than mostly dresses, pencil skirts or grandma sweaters with pants lol. Still love the styles it would just be cool if there were some women's clothing with that traditional hard core classic english old styles if that makes sense. And if only more of the womens clothing were made in the USA rather than China. Anyway. Classic brand. Will always have a place in my heart.

I purchased a $200 men's leather braided belt around 8 months ago. The belt tore through 4 loops already, so I left a bad review. BrooksBrothers removed the review and wouldn't let me write another.

I found this brand not too long ago, fell in love with all the blouses, dresses, etc.
The nearest BB is about out 5 miles away but I prefer online shopping. I went ahead and placed my very first order it was cancelled because the billing address didn't match shipping address, fine. I went ahead and fixed it and placed a new order. The second order once again got cancelled customer service said I need to "contact my bank". I spoke to my bank 4 orders later they kept cancelling over and over. So I went in person to my bank and asked them if they could speak to BB and they agreed to get the misunderstanding resolved, well the agent hung up on me and I was embarrassed with the bank person. I got on chat and they promised to email back and they did a month later. So I googled a BB near me and that's when I found the one 5 miles away. I talked to the lady she placed the order and I finally got the item. The item was good quality, nothing wrong.
The email people finally emailed me and assured me that I will never have to go to a store again to place an order. Well, that's not how it went. Because I found an item that I fell in love with and trusting in what the email person said, I placed an order online and the whole story is repeating. Order got cancelled, they said I need to "contact bank" etc. This is one of my favorite brands and I the way I see it is I guess it's much more convenient for me to order through the store because I save myself the shipping and tax. I've been trying to find a similar brand not a fan of Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren but if anyone knows, let me know please because the customer service is the worst and me having to place an order over 5 times just to get the item isn't worth it, but once I find a better brand I'm done with these people.

I have been a customer since inception of the Dolphin, faithful customer, yesterday I went to do an exchange, store did not have my size, store expected me to pay $9.00 shipping, never had to pay for shipping before and never will. Have to choose new brand of Polos and shirts, I DO NOT need Brooks. Brooks just lost a customer. Habit before tradition and that is what I expect. GOODBYE 305-812-0007

Been wearing brooksbrother shirts for several years now. When I’ve bought new shirts last year they’ve begun to tear at the elbows and the wrists at the seems. The quality has become cheap and they refuse to replace them or repair them. Awful company and horrible customer service. Buy something else.
