I went in for a truck battery and from talking with associate about the battery I needed to end of installation and payment was only 20 minutes! Wow. You don’t get service like that anymore. This was the store on West Broad St in Richmond Va

First impression's
Upon arrival to the store location 5010 North High Columbus we were greeted in a respectful manner how can we help you? I proceeded to let them know I had called the store previously and inquired about a car battery, I then also let the gentleman know I had already purchased online but we wanted to have our battery checked first like they said they would do. So we proceeded to go out to the car where he checked the battery, and the test prove that it was needed, I asked how did he know and he told us that it was only putting out 400 CCA and this was a 690 CCA , but it was bought back in 2015 which was purchased at this very store, he just was not very talkative or friendly at all and the look on his face was not one that you wanted to approach. So I asked him if he was having a bad day or if another customer had given him a bad time and he said no ma'am so I said well you look like you're pretty put off and he still had that demeaning look like he just didn't want to be bothered with anyone any customer that is. So after he completed his task and put in the new battery because we ended up needing a new one, It had already been purchased online then it was installed and we left. Needless to say this was not a good first impression of this employee. This is why the rating is only two stars.

I have been in twice and each time Danielle has helped me. She had not only fixed the problem but has offered suggestions which have been very helpful.
Danielle is very good with “senior citizens” never making us feel dumb. Wonder attitude and so pleasant helping with with problems.

I purchased my car battery in December of 2021 from 6227 w 95 ST oak lawn, IL. Car stopped on me multiple times in November of 2022. Took it to my service center and upon testing, battery failed test. The car technician discovered dead cell in battery. Needs battery replaced. Employee at oak lawn location, Sean performed tested initially and said battery needs charging. He had me start y car and it gave out a good read. Informed it was nothing he could do. Battery is under warranty and refused to replace it. Instead told me call corporate and win the battle through them. I have never been more disgusted with a business practices and lack of concern.

Went to the Two Notch Road location to check about getting my cell phone repaired and James (employee) was SUPER helpful and very friendly and totally went above and beyond to help me. Would definitely like for him to be recognized as a great employee.
OVERHCHARGED!
OVERHCHARGED!! Two little 2032 CR lithium batteries were $10.81. I found out later I could get six for $8.53 on Amazon. What a disgusting experience.
Watch battery replacement
Went to Battries plus to get a new battery installed in my watch. The store on Burnet RD in Austin, TX is the best. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
I've been to this store in the past and the staff is spectacular. They helped my diagnose a problem that had nothing to do with the battery. Good Job Guys!

I went there today with a battery I bought less then a year ago that I thought was bad. The man at this was so rude to me and acted like he did not want to help me with my battery warranty he said to leave the battery with him over night and would check it out, I told him I drove 35 miles to get to the store and needed a battery today. So he said I can’t help you!! I have bought batteries from AutoZone , O’Reillys and Napa before and they will check your battery and if it’s bad they will Exchange it on the spot through the warranty. Why won’t batteries plus bulbs honor their warranties on the spot like the other stores? Because of the way they treated me and did not want to help me and left me stranded, I guarantee you I will never buy any item at all from this company anywhere, beware beware beware. Batteries plus bulbs service sucks 👎🏻And the employees needs to be Trained to show respect and not be so rude to customers. One less customer now!!
Left Me Stranded, Kept the Battery but did refund
Ordered a duracell 12v deep cycle battery for my camper and picked up at South Asheville location. I installed battery at campground and all is good. Later that night, nothing was working...assumedI had left something on, so took to the only local auto parts store as we were in national forest. They hooked up to charger and when I returned to pick up 2hrs later, they informed me the battery was bad as it would not hold or maintain a charge. I returned to my local Batteries & Bulb on Battleground Ave in Greensboro for refund. They stated they had to test overnight before issuing refund (still within 14 days of initial purchase date) and they would contact me next day with results. That was over a week ago and have received any contact from them. So Batteries & Bulb has both the battery & my money at the moment. Unacceptable performance & service as they sold me a bad battery, left me stranded on my vacation camping trip, have not followed up on my complaint nor refunded my money.
Sep 24: the Greensboro store on Battleground Ave did make it right. The South Asheville store called & required me to return battery to their store, a 300 mile round trip. But the Greensboro District Manager stepped in and did the right thing. I am appreciative.
Ripping off seniors at stockbridge location
I was n battery plus at the stockbridge location. Rude staff. They tried to take xtra money from me. Guess they think seniors cant count. My order was $89.99 plus 8% tax. Guy said i owe $107.80. I said doesnt add up young blood. He kept looking at computer then said I like to be call A.J. . I said ok. How do I no your name. You never said it and he said company doest require. He did not have on a name tag. Guess I'm suppose to be psychic. I said A.J 9x8 is 72. Simple math. Are there any other fees. He said tax. Very rude. It was at 1pm. No other person was in the store. I see why. Store empty on a sat at 1pm. Probably cause of rude staff. Wanted to call police. I said good. Police will tell you 8% of $90 is $7.20. Plus they didnt have the part needed to fix my phone. Had to be order. A J rudeness was a blessing. I left there,went to next exit at Smart phone off 138. Lady was nice. Had the part instock and charge $35. Fix the phone in 20 minutes. You have a phone issue u live south of Atlanta. Go there.cross from walmart. Nice staff and much cheaper fix it price. Id never go back to that battey plus store. The battery plus store off north druid hill.guy name Orlando was nice professional told me his name when he ask what my problem was. Id go to that 1 anytime. They had about 10 people in store. I went there b4 I went to stockbridge. Battery plus bulbs off north druid hills has great staff. Very nice and dont try to rip off seniors. But the battery plus stockbridge A.J. you will get rip off. I was paying cash. Guess they pocket money there. Might explain why nobody was in the store but me and im not going back. Do Not Buy From Batteries Plus
I am a motorcycle owner. I very recently purchased a brand new Duracell battery from the Warminster Batteries Plus store. After two weeks of issues and problems caused by the "allegedly new" battery installation, we took the bike to our motorcycle professional who ran some tests on the battery (which I video-taped) and confirmed the "new" battery was dead and non-functioning. The Batteries Plus store owner, Art was rude and could not have cared any less, telling me "I will bet you any amount of money the battery works." Our motorcycle professional believes Art either was not truthful or does not know what he is talking about as their recent experience evidence this is as a somewhat frequent occurrence of late, with the Duracell batteries. After a lot of arm twisting and acrimony with Art, he finally agreed (as though he was doing us some sort of favor) to refund us the money for the non-functional "new" battery we purchased. We requested that he pay our other minor costs associated with the two plus weeks of effort trying to diagnose the problem (never thinking it was the new battery causing all of the issues) and the costs to install an "actual, new" battery. Batteries Plus (CEO, Scott Williams) and Art flat out ignored our request, could not have been ruder and was arrogant and accusatory. Do NOT buy Batteries and products from Batteries Plus. They sell defective products, "new" products that are not "new" and don't give a hoot about customers or customer service. Awful experience, just awful.
Bad Customer Service
Just went to Batteries Plus on Hwy 92 Woodstock. I just needed a couple of CR1616 batteries. They had a 2-pack on the rack marked $5.99 each. I was charged 2x the individual price - $11.98. I checked online and a 2-pack on-line shows as $9.49. No matter what - I should not have been charged the individual price times however many were in the pack. I said I would not be coming back. I was told that he didn't care if I came back and to address the displayed price with the corporate office. These kids need to learn how to do their jobs and some customer service skills. I will most like not be going back to Batteries Plus at least not that location - Batteries Plus a bad experience.....
Bait and switch/refusal of service
On June 23rd, I paid $266.00 for replacement key fob and programming for my 2019 Acura MDX that I was assured the fob had remote start included. When this fob finally arrived on July 28th, I saw it did not have remote start and no one at the store was empowered to assist me. No one could/would put me in contact with anyone who could assist me. No one could/would give me the name of anyone who could assist me or anyone who could/would return my call.
Only after disputing this $266.00 charge with my credit card company did someone reach out to me and explain they can get me the proper remote for an additional $43.00. I simply agreed.
When I was called and informed this remote was in, I made an, “appointment” to have the key fob programmed for today 8/18/22. When I arrived at the store, there were two representatives working and I was told, “it is too late in the day to program a key fob”. Then, when I explained, I had an “appointment”, one of them said, “I was under the impression, that was for tomorrow.” I said, “okay. I’ll come back tomorrow at the same time”. I was told, “No. That doesn’t work either.” I was then told, “You can try back Monday or Wednesday of next week and we might be able to take care of it then”.
At this point, I am done. I actually paused writing this review to speak to the dispute department of my bank to give them an update on Batteries Plus Bulbs refusal of service and after pasting this same review to Google and Facebook, I am going to pen a similar letter to the CEO or franchise head of batteries Plus Bulbs.
Lastly, for the key fob + programming, I paid $266.00 at Batteries + Bulbs. This same fob is sold on Amazon Prime for $50.00. Programming alone at Batteries Plus Bulbs is $69.99, so there is one hell of a mark up on that key fob.
If you made it through this review, thank you for reading and I hope it influenced you to not patronize Batteries Plus Bulbs or at least share this horror story next time you pass by is on route 82.

Batteries Plus Corp lost my dispute because of the “no refund on custom orders policy”. Of course I paid the bill.
BUYER BEWARE - Do not order custom anything from Batteries Plus bulbs. Their staff is not given the tools to ensure the proper product is ordered on the customer’s behalf and are not empowered to correct their own errors. Terrible establishment. Will not have my business ever again.

Bad customer service
The sales rep kid seemed not to have a mechanical background. Was told I have to drive the vehicle for the battery to charge. Not true, start the car the alternator charges the battery. Took the battery back, they charged it to 12V then deemed it good. I will look for the owner of that store for one, and also leave every negative review that I can post. I purchased car batteries from there in the past with no issue. Guess my luck ran out with them
Battery Warranty is useless.
Purchased a Mower Battery on 06/08/2022. Battery was listed as having a six month replacement warranty for manufacturer defect. mowed the lawn 4 times over a period of three weeks. On the forth week the mower would not start. Checked battery voltage was zero volts. My charger and jump stater indicated the battery was defective. Store would not honor the warranty and accused me of damaging the battery. They denied me a replacement battery and said they would only give me one for half price or I could call corporate to complain which was a waste of time since they accused me of not maintaining the battery. That is their go to excuse for not replacing. My mower has an alternator which charges the battery while mowing. A good battery should not show zero volts after 4 days. This company is not reputable and should be sited for false advertising. Their warranty is useless.

Not a pleasant experience
I purchased a battery for my vehicle at a price of $149. in March of 2020. From the store in Douglasville Georgia. The battery had a full warranty until March of 2023. The battery died on me in June of 2022. I took the battery out of my car and took it back and explained that the battery had an issue and would not start my car. The store associate asked me if I wanted him to test the battery. I found that question to be unnecessary since I had explained to him already that the battery had an issue and would not start my car. Whatever it takes to warranty the starting of my vehicle was what I wanted. He proceeded to test the battery voltage and then told me that the battery seems good. We just stared at each other for a second and then I said "the voltage may be good but this battery will not start my car". Perhaps he wanted me to accept that answer and go back to my vehicle and try it again. After another few seconds of face to face staring, he said let me get another tester. On his way to get another tester, he answered a phone call at which time his assistant retrieved the tester, applied it to the battery and indeed stated that the battery was defective. He stated that the battery should provide 800 cold cranking amps but was only producing 29 cold cranking amps. The assistant explained that to the associate when he got off the phone. It appeared that the associate was not too happy hearing that and took the tester from the assistant and said let me check that. Finding the same results, he finally agreed to give me a replacement battery, But it is going to cost me an additional $43. since the price of that same battery has increased since my purchase 2 years ago. My issue is that I am sure that if that battery had been on sale for $43 less at this time, they would not have given me a new battery and said plus here is $43 in addition since it is on sale at this time. They made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them because I was asking for what they promised and what I deserved.
