Staff in Argos are stealing peoples details

I had a phone call from Argos To tell me someone in Brighton had tried to make several purchases on my account , I told him I was in London And had not made any purchases , He then Ssid you’re last purchase was on July for what I had bought and could I give him my card details , I said no as they should only ask for certain numbers
Said it was ok and I didn’t need to do anything else as I was suspicious I went into Argos which is across the road from me 5 minutes Spoke to man in there he told me to phone a number I did and they told me it was all cancelled , I get another call to say don’t do anything I phoned Argos again and it hadn’t been cancelled , so he said he had cancelled it this was all of 20 minutes I get another call email at 18.20 to tell me the goods had been sent out not to my address but somwere in Rayners park And now I have been billed for £720 Argos are thieves as this was definitely someone from there company As they new what I had purchased And they did not stop the payment Worst company I have ever dealt with And I certainly vent be paying it They can take me to court

Waste of time

Its a pure waste of time trying to get to speak to someone all you get is telephone numbers and electronic replys and go round and round in circles .. i m going to shop somewhere else where you can get to where you want to be and have a good customer service

Bought a brand new £500 lay-z-spa…

Bought a brand new £500 lay-z-spa mauritius, it arrived box damaged with delamination of the surface and a lid that didn't fit
They told me on that product I need to contact the manufacturers, who I am battling with
Argos blocked my negative feedback on their website but they can't block this

Wish I had never bought from here

Faulty items returned still waiting for money to be back on e-gift card despite email stated been refunded. Chairs ordered couldn’t fit together asked for collection and replacement . Apparently not possible despite being able to go on Argos site and being able to obtain in 2 days . Fobbed off with various excuses . Collected items same van that delivered! But still have my money nice little earner if you delay paying people back

Went wrong from start to finish

Went wrong from start to finish. Applied for argos card. All very confusing if been accepted to pay within 12 months interest free. No terms and conditions sent to email. Getting through to agent without a card number very difficult. When i did get through they were not at all helpful infact was a complete waste of my time. Terms and conditions came with card 12 days later.
Delivery took place today. Was told to expect a call within 1 hour of delivery which I didn't get. Arrived and because they had to put the dishwasher pipes behind the washing machine I myself had to move the washing machine. (62 yr old woman on own) they then moved it out more themselves. One guy was asked to switch on the water so the dishwasher could be tested. He couldn't do it as he didn't know what a stopcock looked like. When I went to check the under sink cupboard for leakage. The cupboard was soaking wet. Never told me the pipes leaked water all over when disconnecting the old dishwasher. A shambles of a company. Had an appliance delivered a week before with another leading company like chalk and cheese. Argos have a lot to learn if they want to remain on the high street as I for one won't go back if this is the level of service and care provided

Was stolen from - standard. Paid a premium for ps5 with COD add on. Didn’t have the add on - when I called they didn’t care .. or help. Had to buy it additionally - cheers

If there were 0 stars i would consider…

If there were 0 stars i would consider giving that. Ordered a week a so ago a fridge-freezer and a washer-deyer to be delivered for today, only to be told by customer service that the items can't be delivered because the depo in the UK doesn't have staff. Why give people slots for the weekend if none of your staff can't be arsed to show up to work. Now I've been left with no fridge or washing machine. I work Monday to Friday and the weekends are my only available time to be able to receive the items.

What a useless company.

Washing machine was a good deal

Washing machine was a good deal, however there's a ten day wait to get it delivered ( wasn't expecting that) so just don't order if your old one has broken and you need it asap.
Otherwise everything went smoothly.

Customer service was absolutely…

Customer service was absolutely abysmal. Really rude Fella kept talking loudly over the top of me and wouldn't listen. He was also talking very fast and not English and I couldn't understand him. I asked to speak to manager or someone because something was out of stock, I was going to miss discount code he wouldn't let me. Just kept condescending repeating it need to place the order. I cant if it's out of stock. Then I cant get the discount. He then said there was offers on next month but refused to answer me my specific question if it was the furniture or not just kept rudely talking fast and over me again about argos does offers. Terrible rude customer service.

Went to Argos today at Hucknall Ashgare…

Went to Argos today at Hucknall Ashgare Store. I got wonderful customer service from Sharon. Help me navigate the computer ordering and once it was available helped me out to the car. This is the type of service that keeps me coming back to this store.
I don't mind if the items are a little more expensive because the wonderful service makes it worth while.
She deserves recognition and praise for going above and beyond in making my shopping experience super easy.

Bought a Shark vacuum from Argos the…

Bought a Shark vacuum from Argos the clip broke after 8 months. Rang their customer services who confirmed after 30 days you have to go to the manufacturer. Under the Consumer Goods Act 2015, this item should be fit for purpose. The customer services confirmed they are not forcing me to go to the manufacturer, but confirmed the store may not take it back for an exchange. In other words they are forcing me to go to the manufacturer. Just buy from John Lewis not really worth the hassle. They are roughly the same price, but Argos is awful.

best stupid experience

I bought something that was in stock, went there to pick up my order and I asked for a receipt. I have been told is not possible and I will receive the receipt over the email. In my email i only received a confirmation that I collected the item. I ordered this for one neighbor who is old and he is not familiar with the online shopping. I needed that receipt to prove I paid the amount I was claiming back. I don't need to explain why, I am just doing it to make myself understood. Is my right to have a receipt for my purchase. It is also my right to have this receipt in an accessible format if I am requesting this. Also is my right and your obligation to offer this receipt when I buy not after few days. Also, second stage, I returned the item (which to my surprise entitled me to a receipt for the return) and I tried to buy back in store so I can get my precious receipt. The staff member told me she cant sell it back as somebody need to check (a sealed item) and to put it back on the shelf first...are these people real? they have the right to vote? what poorly trained staff...

Absolutely atrocious

Absolutely atrocious, zero Customer service, purchased a TV for the spare room 2 years ago , has hardly ever been used, switched it on for a guest staying, after not been turned on for 6 months and screen full of black and white lines. Tried to email Argos, no email address or can't even find a contact us form, only way appears to be message them on Facebook or X. Which when I tried didn't work. Found a number eventually after 15 minutes of pressing different options and having it cut off I got through to someone I could hardly understand. They told me I would have to get my own report on the tv and email them first. He gave me an email address for sainsbury Customer enquiries, turns out no such email they only now have contact us form. Sent off today but I'm sure they are going to say contact Argos 😡 never will I buy any electronic goods from Argos again as there is no way of resolving a problem.

Extremely disappointing experience at…

Extremely disappointing experience at Argos – 45 Whitechapel Road

I had to return a faulty iron three times to this store, causing me to lose time from work and spend over £20 in travel costs. After the first faulty item, I was wrongly accused of dropping it, but they exchanged it only after I mentioned my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

The replacement came in a damaged box, which I photographed in-store. Once home, I video recorded the unboxing, and again the iron didn’t work properly, despite following the manual. I had to travel another 45 minutes to return it again today.

When I politely raised the issue of inconvenience and travel costs, the manager Mirza became rude, defensive, and unhelpful, claiming they were “doing me a favour” and that I wasn’t entitled to anything if they tested it and it was working. He accused me of being a difficult rude customer and only when I began recording the encounter did his attitude change and he started acting more responsibly. He then told me to return after 4:00 p.m. for a replacement.

This whole process was stressful, time-wasting, and handled poorly. A manager should treat customers respectfully and uphold their legal rights—not only start acting appropriately when being recorded. The Store does not deserve 1 Star as I have seen that there are many more complaints about the same manager Mirza at the same store regarding the same sort of issues and no action seems to have been taken.

I have escalated a formal complaint to Argos Customer Services and await a response. I haven't opened the new iron yet—but the service experience alone deserves a 1-star rating.

Extremely Poor Service

Saturday 19th July ordered Jml wrap around sunglasses from the Redcar Store for £15:00 on my debit card. As I have just had cataract Surgery. Argos took my money and said I could pick up straight away. Then within half hour, they sent a message saying sorry they have cancelled my order due to error at Store. As I needed these sunglasses, I travelled on the Bus to the Redcar Store. The young lady said that they still have this item in stock, but I would have to pay again. So I did just that. However they informed me that even though it was not my fault. I Would have to Wait 5 Working Days to get my money Refunded. So they have been paid Twice. What if I had a low balance. A case of Buyer beware with this Store

Online fridge purchase

Bought a large Hotpoint fridge online. It was supposed to be delivered in 5 days according to website, took 10. Delivered with a 15cm long dent on it. Rejected fridge, Argos said they would have the supplier to contact to collect in 48 hours. They have not. They now say they cannot get in touch with supplier either to give me a date anytime soon to collect. Fridge blocking front door, they have got my money, old fridge broken & we fly out on holiday for 6 weeks the day after tomorrow. Disgraceful!

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service, bought 4 tvs Hitachi 2 tvs have failed with the same issue, damage on screen, had to contact technical services at Argos, send serial numbers photos of screen fault, copy of receipts, then nobody contacts you, have to keep contacting them 3 times, then get told to contact customer services, then told to write an email to Sainsburys, get a reply from Bev who now says have to get an independant company to look at the tv and give a report when this clearly shows a fault in the manufaturer Hitachi, complete nightmare, anyway possable of passing the buck from argos to someone els!
