Purchased an air fryer from Argos 'click and collect ' and it was delivered to my local sainsbury branch in a used condition with scratches to the top of the appliance .
The outer box looked like it had been handled badly in transit with the security seal stickers broken, the cardboard box had rips and holes throughout.
Inside someone had made an attempt to make a factory seal by loosely wrapping cellophane around the unit , the plug with its lead uncoiled with the cable tie wrap loose at the bottom of the box.
In summary it was second hand and had been sent out to me without any quality control or proper attempt to refurbish !
So another drive to store to get a refund as there is no telephone or email option to complain, argos now use social media as a point of contact whatsapp , X etc which seems super sketchy for a big company ?
The Argos brand is so diluted now can't see it lasting many more years tbh.
They've mini hubs within sainsburys , the branch i collected from today had its Argos terminal broken and out of order .
More often than not they have nothing in stock requiring a next day or week delivery which defeats the whole objective of what the Argos brand used to be - a store you could get anything the same day for convenience over the counter there and then except for large goods .
Will be using Amazon in future so I dont have to do multiple car journeys and they have a proper quality control / communication platform .

I have forgotten my user name so you put in your details too get user name and says above account number is wrong .That's it sent emails nothing I just want too pay my account .Argos pay is flawed useless .My old account was easy phone up pay on line order stuff brilliant .This is terrible even phone system is terrible I use Argos as my go to for everything new TV washing machine .everything and now I can't order. pay nothing hit a dead end even my friends etc have tryed and hit a wall not had a letter phone call nothing .can't you send an account number my user name etc to my email or a letter too my house .Sure you will When I can't pay my bill because of the above .

Terrible for home delivery brought dyson fan on the monday to be delivered on the friday morning waited in 7 while 2 no fan wasnt even out for delivery then told probely get latter that day or deffently next morning . Then itsaid out for delivery fiveish friday no fan turned up still saying out for delivery sat morning so i rang again then i was told i had to rebook a delivery . I just cancelled the order and went elsewerethe amount off people this has happened to is bad .they think its normall to make people wait allday an not go out for no reason not a text or email to say it wasnt comeing . Id never shop there never again . Cant see this company going for long there service is terrible .
Super nightmare company
Super nightmare company. Royal mail dropped off a packet.
Argos staff verbally abusive, software down and have not heard since! Cannot speak to Customer service as i do not have a Pick up number so around we go.

Terrible. A big company but their customer service is non existent and staff don't care about their customers at all, even when it's their fault. If something goes wrong due to their fault, your on your own. Won't be shopping here again.
Argos need to rethink their AI
Argos need to rethink their AI. Had a very frustrating experience talking to their Ai who wasn’t listening to what I was asking, refused to get me to a human and hung up without any resolution. Trying to return an item your returns page directs me to your chat but your AI robot directs me to your webpage. Going round and round and round!!!

We packaged it back up and took back to Argos for a refund within the 30 days but were tikd as it had been opened We were no entitled for a refund.
I think it's disgusting that they did not offer the refund. It was clearly only just purchased and not used.
Amazon and other companies offer refunds without issues.
I will not shop at Argos again.

If this shop doesn't pull up it socks then I think it's days are numbered. Always tried to shop at Argos rather than online stores but the amount of times I have been given items that have been returned, so 2nd hand. This Friday I order a swimming pool ready for the bank holiday weekend only for it to be delayed. It was a lot easier just to go to Home Bargains and buy one.

This new payment app Argos pay is the worst thing I've ever had to use to make a payment ,Now I try to make a payment on a buy now pay later and that doesn't work either after spending 4 days trying to set this app up. Why don't they leave things alone that have worked fine for years .Don't think I'll buy from Argos ever again if this is what it takes to make a payment .

For the second time in less than a week I have tried to buy a new TV on home delivery and once again it does not recognise my password and makes me reset it and then does not recognise the new one omg this is such a bad experience so I am going to Amazon where at least I will get my new TV before the next Ice Age. Customer service is down the drain, multiple bad experiences now. It seems they are another company that hire people in our countries rather than our own. I just got off the phone yet again with someone abroad, who communicates very poorly and seemed to speak to me as if she couldn't care less about being on the phones. Giggling with whoever she's with whilst I'm trying to give her information to pass the multiple security check questions. This call was just a complete final straw for me every considering Argos for a purchase again, they're dead.
Unable to make payments
Unable to make payments! unable to contact anyone!! I wil be closing my account as soon as i know i have not been charged late payment fees. Absolutely terrible.
Digital death
Absolutely disgusted that Argos are pushing shoppers down the “digital only” route. Not taking into account those with no S.M.A.R.T. Phones or internet access. I was happy with my plastic Argos card. Account now closed. Shame on you Argos for ostracising a quarter of the population. If I could leave a zero star I would.

The lady on customer services was brilliant but the new app is dreadful. My payment plans have no end date and can’t pay off of one payment plan. The old app worked why change it. Once again with Argos they’re making things more difficult

Argos new Argos pay service is a joke the site keeps crashing locking accounts, they ask you to ring them but I think Argos pay has that many problems that for the last 2 days they can not take anymore people ringing , even the bit feels like it's had enough , and you can't reply to their email .
