I ordered a floor lamp 09-16-21 and, of course,paid for it. The lamp was [advertised] backordered until 01-21-22, but that was OK and I agreed to that w/my order/payment. Three months later [12/03] I was informed there would be no lamp and my money would be refunded [funds have still not been refunded 12/07]. I am livid, but the worst part is they are still selling the lamp with a backorder date now of March 22. I won't be taking the chance of ruining another holiday with this company~I had such high hopes~too bad.

This business is running a scam with their fine print return policy as many others noted. Wish we read the reviews and ordered from a reputable company. When we disputed return shipping charges of $300, their apparent manager Trish actually hung up on us after being extremely unprofessional and not helping fix the issue at hand, instead acting extremely defensive. When I originally spoke with her colleague she said their manager would call us back promising a 20% refund to the order for all the trouble we had and money spend on shipping, but the manager never did call us, I had to track her down, she simply sent us a link to their return policy. When I finally got Trish (the apparent manager) on the phone she stated that she made a mistake and could only give us store credit for the promised amount they owed us... We would never order from them again so the credit is worthless. Ive worked with countless managers in e-commerce and she was not trained nor had knowledge of managing a company. Her colleagues claimed she was the only one who worked with "escalated cases" so either that's untrue or they don't have adequate staff to run a company. Their office did not take our calls during business hours after I confronted the manager who hung up on us about her mistakes and our monetary loss. We lost $300 with them in return shipping fees and countless hours of my assistants and my time for a chandelier we never used or unboxed, and would stay very far away. They are a corrupt business, with employees (apparent manager) who are dishonest.

Classic bait and switch with the return policy. They say free shipping BUT, if you actually return the item, not only do you have to pay for the return yourself, the cost of the outbound shipping is actually deducted from the refund! Yes, it's stated in their return policy, but it's actually 6 bullet points down. Why not state that upfront? And, customer service is hard to get on the line. Long hold time and sometimes you have to leave a message which does not get returned.

Ordered and paid for a wallpaper sample that never arrived. USPS has no record of receiving the package.

Horrid - do not buy from them!! They claim "satisfaction guaranteed" but if you are unhappy with what you ordered and want to return it they charge you both for the shipping to you (so free shipping is a lie) and return shipping. Which means you lose at least 50% of what you paid. I asked if they resold what I would returned and the "award winning customer service" said they didn't know. It a total scheme. So wish I had read the reviews before ordering from them. Needless to say, I will NEVER order from them again.

This company claims easy returns. Emailed tracking number after mailing item back. Tish claims tracking number was incorrect item was not returned, that was Aug 18, 202. Put in tracking number said item was delivered on Aug 5, 2021@12:21pm. This company is shady. They have the item, have not received refund. i would stay clear of 2Modern Company. Read all reviews

I would give this company zero stars if I could. DO NOT BUY from them. I purchased an table and 6 chairs, spending over $4,0000 on them. I received them and loved the way they looked, I put them on my completely covered balcony and less than one week later one of the chairs had a stain on it. I contacted their customer service and was given the cleaning instructions and the stain did not go away, I followed up and said that I would like to return the chairs since I was nervous that the chairs would all be stained if this happened in less than a week. Sherri, in customer service said that since I had them on the balcony they were not actually outdoor chairs, to which I said they should not stain that easily, but that I wanted to return the other 5, Sherri then said that since I did not have the original boxes I could not return them- mind you- they advertise that they offer white glove service which includes assembling your purchase and removing the boxes! I have no recourse from them! I have NEVER worked with a company like this! Do not use them there are many other businesses that stand by their products- this is not one of them!!!

I watched a bed 🛌 I could have bought directly from the manufacturer for a little more money with a 3 week delivery take almost 3 months with this company. It sits in warehouses across the country for 2-3 weeks, been shipped to 4 states now and still don’t have it. Now sitting in a warehouse 30 minutes away from me for a week- they keep moving delivery date out every week. I had to call the shipping company directly because customer service kept saying they would resolve and nothing happened. The carrier let me know it had not been delivered because 1 of 4 pieces was missing. SO...while the bed traveled to 4 states, they lost a piece! LOL. What a joke! But I had to find the info out myself and investigate. Basically they use a dirt cheap shipping carrier and don't care how long it takes to get to you or what condition your item arrives in. I have disputed/cancelled the charge with my credit card company and have not received the bed yet. I just ordered the same item directly from the manufacturer and it will take 2-3 weeks to get her vs 3 months!! Wish I read all of these reviews first! Never 👎🏻 again.

Same as the rest of the people complaining here... We failed to check their website for reviews prior to placing an order. Order is placed, a credit card is charged. And, now finding that the company is a FRAUD....

This company took my order for a bookend...and then a day later said they wouldn't ship it to me since I live in the USA (AK). Said I must pay for shipping. AFTER my order was approved for free ship. I asked them to honor the sale and they just cancelled it without any conversation. Horrible service. It is 2021....no excuse for having a bad website and bad service.

Charge my card sent the wrong item. It’s been a month and I still don’t have my $500 lamp I ordered. They are unresponsive and no communication! Worst company. They have all “me too” products. Don’t order from here!

I think "generous return policy" needs to be defined. It's 2021 in a pandemic and you expect customers to pay full price to return. People who are avoiding buying products in person due to the pandemic.

My items cost $256 and to return was $180. If I bought from Amazon, Macy or any other store it would be free one click returns. Even if it was or was not defective, (it doesn't work but it might be the wrong track type I am not entirely sure) that's absurd. Yes I didn't read your return policy before, but no one does.

I plan on detailing my experience in your reviews and online. This is a joke. I'm fully confident my credit card will reimburse me but I don't want others falling victim to your scams. You will never be able to compete with other retailers with these petty scams and fine print.

I asked to cancel my order and the first person I spoke to helped me with that since it hadn't shipped. Then the next day I get an email saying it was shipped but received no confirmation number. Once I asked for it they send me one that doesn't work. Avoid this company at all costs. I hope I can get my money back...

This company has an awful return policy - see other reviews for more details on this. They are spot-on. You're better off buying these things somewhere else. Wayfair, Overstock, Target, Home Depot, etc. have the same products, are more reliable, and have more reasonable return policies.

the tech staff was completely uninformed "take it apart with a butter knife" he said, "it won't break" BTW, the wiring on the lamp was also defective and would not power-up. Meanwhile the return process for my $700+ credit and the related email back and forth was a scam. Hoping I would overlook the lack of an AmEx credit, their confirmation email on the refund took 58 days. In most cases a CC company will not dispute a charge over sixty days from order date. They faked cooperation by offering the refund but never process it.....VERY Sleazy. AmEx looked out for me, re-opened the case and got me the credit.

I used their chat to ask a maintenance question for one of their products. After a 2-day wait, they told me to look it up on the internet or contact the manufacturer myself. Just like that, very brusquely. After I told them their customer service attitude left something to be desired, I got a snippy response. Meanwhile, I did contact the manufacturer and received a response within 10 minutes with the name of a product I could get on Amazon that would solve the problem.

This company is a scam. Run away
