The price billed was £197.16 and not…
The price billed was £197.16 and not the price quoted which was £192.28 on the same day.
The price quoted today is £191.90 the quotes I got yesterday were all £192.28.
So there's a glitch in the system.
I will leave a new review after I get a response from Marmalade.

What a shame
I’ve always had a great experience with Marmalade, but today’s phone call was really disappointing.
Following previous advice from the team, I called today to extend my daughter’s provisional insurance policy. Unfortunately, the representative who answered sounded unhelpful, condescending, and made it feel like my call was a hassle, even asking why I didn't just do it online.
It's a shame that a single interaction can tarnish what was otherwise excellent service. I hope Marmalade provides some additional customer service training here, as this certainly doesn't reflect the rest of the team.

The agent whom I eventually talked to on the phone was 5star excellent. Getting to that point was 1 star dreadful (email directed to chat bot directed to on line agent directed to phone redrected to customer services)
