After accepting my payment for 12…
After accepting my payment for 12 months, I received numerous threatening emails requesting documents and that my insurance would be cancelled. Eventually I cancelled on day 6 with a penalty fee as couldn't get hold of anyone to clarify what the actual problem was. Useless service and costly exercise for nothing!

Charged me £108 to cancel the policy after 6 weeks. The price of the policy was £200 for the year. Phone line does not get answered. I would hate to think what would happen if you needed to contact after a crash.

Stay clear of this company
Another insurance company who fails to follow consumer laws....
If you start a policy online YOU MUST be allowed to cancel online without the need for phone calls.
They don't permit this you must call! Unnecessarily difficult to cancel a renewal I never wanted in the first place!
Read through their feedback. Happy to reply to customers that leave good feedback but totally unwilling to engage with those who do not. Really poor service.
EDIT the irony of your reply! My consumer rights state, if I agree to a policy online via electronic means, I should be able to cancel it the same way, without having to call or talk to anybody. There is also a right to cancel the auto renewal at 4 weeks before it expires but you have locked that option, again another move completely against my consumer rights.
I have lodged a complaint, canceled the renewal and cancelled my direct debit. Shocking.

Several rejections at trying to create an account
I have been sent two different policy numbers one of which seems void

Had arranged cover with another company…
Had arranged cover with another company who changed the premium and were very unhelpful, I Cancelled the policy and came to marmalade who got me next day cover sorted straight away and I saved almost £80 with them, excellent service and brilliant price thank you.

Cancelled insurance with no reason…
Cancelled insurance with no reason why, when I asked they cant tell me duration data protection, you are talking to me and so I should be told, instead of been directed to synetics to obtain a a reason ,which is another level of uselessness, gotvto wait a month to be told and yet they cancel your insurance in 7 days, so that'll be on my record, and I dont even know why it was cancelled in the first place !!!!! Disgusting,,no wander people dont bother!!

Unfortunately
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of insuring my car in July, with Marmalade. As of today, I changed my car and had to contact them to do so. No one to speak to, talking to an online bit, then someone for 40 minutes. The outcome was £55 admin fee, and £33, refund, for a policy I took out only 3 months before . Abitge worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with!
