Intuitive and Friendly

Problem when pedaling
Had a problem, which turned out to be a few stiff links in the Seine bike chain. Bree responded quickly to my concerns and the VanPowers team was very helpful in assisting to find the problem and recommend a solution.

I am a 66 year old, 180 lb male who for health reasons decided to take up bike riding, I have not been on a bike in over 30 years. I decided to buy an e-bike, not one that was like an electric scooter but one that required me to peddle and be able to choose the level of assistance the motor would provide. In my research I discovered the Van Powers City Vanture. I liked the idea of assembling my own bike and felt it would give me the knowledge to better care and maintain my bike. Another reason that I chose this model is that the City Vanture does not look like an e-bike, the battery is integrated into the frame which makes it look like a regular bike reducing the chance of theft and being banned from bike paths that don't allow electric bikes. When I received my bike I was immediately impressed with how well the components were packaged and protected. The assembly was quite easy, all the tools needed are included, the instructions were easy to follow and well written. My first riding experience was very positive despite not have been on a bike in over three decades. This bike is very well engineered, the electric motor delivers smooth power with no sudden accelerations or jerkiness. The controls for the motor are excellent and very easy to use. The color daylight viewable screen which is integrated into the steering post is easy to see even in bright sunlight. And the carbon fiber belt drive to the motor hub is amazing, no gears required and no greasy chain to mess up your clothes. I have been riding my bike for over a month now and I am very happy with my purchase. This is an excellent engineered product that is a lot of fun and easy to use!
