Yes, it does require time to assemble, but there’s a great video for on YouTube, step by step.
I needed a child seat on there, and customer service took my question serious and discussed it with the engineers, to get a GO for different mounting options.

Vanpowers for the WIN!
The bike arrived in great shape straight out of the box and was easy to assemble. It's nice to have help but one person can do it. The ride quality is expectational, especially for the competitive price point. The seat post shock really helps smooth out bumps in the road. The range was great and I love how integrated everything is. Well done Vanpowers!

City venture acheté en France pour usage vélotaff
City venture que j'utilise depuis 2 mois et que j'ai acheté pour une livraison en France. Je l'ai reçu rapidement en 7 jours dans un très bon emballage. Je l'ai monté moi même et n'est rencontré aucune difficulté : les procédures sont très explicites.
J'ai rencontré une difficulté sur l'accessoire garde boue qui ne se monte pas bien et frotte souvent sur la roue arrière. Le porte bagage n'est pas au standard européen (très peu large) et j'ai une difficulté pour trouver un sac qui s'adapte.
Sinon, le vélo fait sensation en France ;-) modèle gris vintage il sort vraiment du lot en design
Il est très silencieux, agréable à rouler, selle confortable et bonne autonomie (la batterie faiblie vite à atteinte du niveau 3 en montées et il faut prendre le relais musculairement ;-)
En rapport qualité/prix sur le marché français, ça reste un très produit que je recommande

Great affordable e-bike
I ordered the Vanpower City Vanture. The bike was delivered within 5 days from the Czech Republic to the Netherlands. It was great fun to assemble it!
The performance of the bike is remarkably good, really meant for road biking, since the tires are very lean. Top speed seems to be more than is allowed in the EU, but I don't mind :). The bafang motor is very quiet (250W), together with the belt drive.
Since I am 1,92m long, the bike is a bit too small for me. I am considering a stem adaptor to get the handlebar a bit higher, although it will not improve the sleek looks of the bike.

I am a 66 year old, 180 lb male who for health reasons decided to take up bike riding, I have not been on a bike in over 30 years. I decided to buy an e-bike, not one that was like an electric scooter but one that required me to peddle and be able to choose the level of assistance the motor would provide. In my research I discovered the Van Powers City Vanture. I liked the idea of assembling my own bike and felt it would give me the knowledge to better care and maintain my bike. Another reason that I chose this model is that the City Vanture does not look like an e-bike, the battery is integrated into the frame which makes it look like a regular bike reducing the chance of theft and being banned from bike paths that don't allow electric bikes. When I received my bike I was immediately impressed with how well the components were packaged and protected. The assembly was quite easy, all the tools needed are included, the instructions were easy to follow and well written. My first riding experience was very positive despite not have been on a bike in over three decades. This bike is very well engineered, the electric motor delivers smooth power with no sudden accelerations or jerkiness. The controls for the motor are excellent and very easy to use. The color daylight viewable screen which is integrated into the steering post is easy to see even in bright sunlight. And the carbon fiber belt drive to the motor hub is amazing, no gears required and no greasy chain to mess up your clothes. I have been riding my bike for over a month now and I am very happy with my purchase. This is an excellent engineered product that is a lot of fun and easy to use!

I am happy with my experience with vanpowers & City Vanture bike! From ordering to delivery, everything was smooth & pleasant.
The customer support at vanpowers deserves recognition. They promptly & professionally assisted me with a query about the different bike options. The team was friendly & patient, making me feel valued as a customer.
As for the City Vanture bike itself - it's fantastic! It's perfect for city commuting.
A valuable tip they shared was to note down the bike frame number in case of theft. You need that to fill out a police report. I appreciate their care for customers & providing such helpful advice.
Overall, I highly recommend vanpowers & the City Vanture.

Great comms and service

Speedometer/Odometer failure
My speedometer/odometer failed to turn on with the button. I, at first, thought the battery was not charged. When that was not it I contacted Bree at Vanpowers Service. She assured me this could be fixed and sent me a procedure. As it turned out my problem was the first on the procedure and my bike was repaired.
