Went through Van line direct. When I bought a van, I was driving my van home the evening I bought it twenty four hours before I set up insurance.Through this so called company on the way home, I had bad luck, and I driven 340 miles an unfortunately 60 miles from my home address, my van broke down so I phone for recovery, which I took out through this company and they refused to pick me up because of I was a new customer and it needed to wait forty eight hours before they would actually recover it, which I wasn't told about.Apparently it's in the small print 🤔 so I had to cancel my policy with van line direct, and I was still within my seven days, calling down period they owed me back some money, and they said it would be 7/10 ten working days fair;enough, they take it fast enough, but you know it's now three weeks later, and I still haven't been paid my money back so I would stay well care of this broker people in their office don't know what they're doing. One of them hung up on me and said, no I didn't.The line went dead while the line didn't go dead when he was taken my money 👌 the other one in the office previous to talking to this person said yes, your money would be in there between seven and ten working days and like I said three weeks later and I still haven't had my refund back so be very cautious of taking anything out through these people, as they don't know what they're doing, and all they do is pass you from pillar to post and hang the phone up on you very bad customer relations.Stay well away from this company i have warned you 👍

Breaking down so soon after taking out your policy, and then finding your recovery cover was not something you could use straight away, must have been an incredibly frustrating way to start.
I can also understand why the delay to your refund, after being given a clear timeframe, added to that frustration, particularly when you felt you were being passed between different people without a straight answer.
I have since spoken with you directly about everything you raised. I hope this has gone some way towards changing how you feel about your experience with us, even if it does not take away from how things started.

AVOID at all costs,cancelled policy over the phone as requested by them but clearly not actioned by them and constantly trying to charge me fees and threatening legal action even though I had paid up to date. Really disappointed. Also when you call you keep getting passed to customer service without any resolution

Auto renew issue with a positive update
I insured with them for a year but details of my vehicles use had changed. I wanted to cancel the auto renew so i could see other offers and not be charged. The portal does not let you turn off auto renew but says you will be notified when this is to happen. So I wait for the notification, this comes through late on a Friday when their offices are closed. Still cant do anything about this online and it says you must call. Monday morning I get emails saying I have renewed and agreements to sign. I try to call all available numbers but each number just cuts me off without giving me any options. Based on this I would not renew, I feel this is a bullying tactic and very bad customer service. I have emailed and requested call backs but as of now nothing. So I am left with no choice but to report it here.
Update. I have changed my review to 5 stars as Charlie the customer service director called me and really showed great empathy with my situation. I was very impressed by how he handled the call. Great sign of a company who listens.

Not a smooth journey
If there was 0 star, I would chose it, …
Charged me £50 to make changes that weren’t actually properly made which has cost me then a £25 administrative fee for another linked problem. Then when I sold the van I was charged a way excessive amount and when I asked a manager to call, despite calling again the next day, no one bothered …
Worst company ever … So glad I don’t have to deal with them
After I posted my review, I have been contacted by a team member who actually listened, was aware of my issues and acknowledged what happened.
They gave me some of my money back as well

Helpful communication
I communicated with 2 separate people regarding starting up a new policy and they we're very helpful identifying areas that I was not aware of, this meant i wouldn't have started a policy without all the facts being correct , they also helped with getting the best quote for my miles covered from previous Mot information.
