Claims service is too slow and they’re not transparent with payments.
Most disappointing
They make claiming so difficult.
I have two dental policies, and alternate between Simplyhealth.co.uk and Unum.co.uk.
Simplyhealth makes claims simplistic and pays immediately, Unum makes the whole process painful.
Unum Comms are awful and their cover restricted.
Obviously I shall not be renewing my policy.
Being treated horribly
I did call the 24/7 help line, earlier his evening but I regreted it so badly.
The first person who took the call appeared to be so unaccommodating and impatient with me. She accue.sed me to be rude and described her as feeling uncomfortable and attacked and ended he call.
I am confused either she was a customer or myself?
It made me feel worse and wished that I did not make that mistake to seek support from them.
However it is an oposit experience to my two previous call tha I was treated professionally and respectfully.
I am going to make a complaint against this person as she needs to know the employees who need to call their line, are in need for support not being penalised or judged.
I feel so sad for this experience!

I've had to make several claims via UNUM and not once has it been processed without further chasing.
Signed up through my work
Signed up through my work to NHS dental plan, then my dentist quit, tried to cancel and apparently I can't for the next 11 months as you can only apparently cancel for a couple of weeks in a year, so paying £80 for nothing as no.othwe NHS dentists in my area

I have had a Unum Dental plan for several months now and have made 2 claims on it so far. Supplying receipts is Straight forward and both of my claims were approved in less then a week without the need for more information. Doesn’t take long to fill the claim form online either. The worst help for an cancer patient
The worst help for an oncology patient! Waiting more than a month to determine the status of my claim. How is a man who has received the worst possible diagnosis of his life supposed to live and recover if he has no secured income, even though he signed a contract with you? Fast track payment for critical illnesses, for cancer patients with this company is a myth!!!
Do you need more of my time? After the most serious surgery? After chemotherapy and before the next chemotherapy? What else do you want to confirm having medical records for a month? Confirmation from God that hI am still alive?
DISGRACEFUL LACK OF CUSTOMER SEVICE HOLDING ON TO YOUR MONEY
APPALLING ING CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Just spoke to complaints team not interested as person not in who’s dealing with complaint and even my frustration in my voice has 8 weeks to bother to try and help customer even though this is the first time I’ve called . Called claim settlement as sent 20 contact us on the website submitting all documents asked for with them also ringing the dentist several times to make sure I’m not obviously lying , waste of time, not interested in explaining why no refund for treatment done over 20 days ago as bit more expensive than just a filing .

This was my first (and last) time using this service
This was my first (and last) time using this app to book a counselling service. I was going through a difficult time and needed help from an experienced counsellor. However, my experience with the app was disappointing.
Upon downloading the app, it required an extensive amount of personal information, which seemed excessive. After providing all the necessary details, I finally made an appointment. When I met the "counsellor," she requested even more data.
The final straw was when she informed me that our session would be recorded for training and quality control purposes. Despite assurances of confidentiality, I found it hard to believe that my sensitive conversation would remain private if it was recorded and shared with the team.
I was shocked and declined the service, as it should have been clearly stated from the beginning that recording sessions was a requirement. This app-driven "talking therapy" has lost the human-centered approach I was seeking, and I am terribly disappointed. I now prefer to contact BCAP-accredited counsellors directly.

Great service and transparency!
I added Unum dental to my benefits at work. I chose tier 3 for me and my husband. I had a few issues recently and asked for the money back. Unum dental is very transparent regarding what they are covering with an easy to understand benefit table. Also, submitting a claim is effortless via their online portal. Can recommend this dental insurance to anyone.

Unum provide a really clear and very simple process for making my dental claims and super fast reimbursement. This is by far the best private dental insurance provider I have used in 20 years!

I have claimed back twice now and this is effortless so simple and easy to use the app, just select your treatment type, upload your receipt and away you go. It say up to 10 days to get the money back in your account. It only took me 4 days, I applied for it on the Thursday it went into my bank on the Monday. Excellent service so far.
