The 15m lead that we ordered is great quality and works as described, our 14-week old Pointer has no problems running around with the lead on and is helping with training and independant exploring.

Terrible Quality
I would strongly advise caution before buying from Trinkety Paws.
I purchased two collars (Pastel Blue and Powder Pearl/Blush) and had issues with both:
The company sent me the wrong colour collar. As my dog’s old collar was ripped, I had no choice but to use it temporarily. Within just a few days of normal use (no mud, rain, or seawater), the hardware stained the material green and began fading.
The Powder Pearl/Blush collar had sharp, unfinished holes that caused scabbing and irritation to my dog’s neck. I provided photographs of this.
When I raised my concerns, Trinkety Paws repeatedly denied any fault, blamed “dirt transfer,” and said cleaning was my responsibility, despite advertising their collars as waterproof. They disposed of the incorrect collar I returned, despite the fact I only had to use it because they sent me the wrong item in the first place.
They refused both a refund and replacement, despite my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Their final response was to close communication, insisting there were no defects, even though I had clear evidence.
In my opinion, the hardware on these collars is poor quality, not dog-safe, and not fit for purpose. I’ve since escalated this to my bank and Trading Standards.

We are not surprised to see this review, as the customer had previously stated she would leave negative feedback unless we refunded her for both collars. As a small business, it is upsetting to receive threats like this when we always try to resolve matters fairly.
For clarity: when the customer was accidentally sent the wrong shade of collar, we immediately sent the correct replacement in good faith, without waiting for the first collar back. When it was eventually returned, it was in an unsellable state, heavily soiled inside and out after only a couple of days of wear. Despite this, and unlike most larger businesses would, we still honoured the exchange.
Shortly afterwards, the customer demanded a refund on her second collar, claiming unfinished holes and injury to her dog. The photos she provided did not show any defects. What they did show was that even the brand-new replacement we had just sent was already covered in grime. On closer inspection of the returned collar, the staining was most prominent on the inside of the strap, far away from any hardware. This confirms it was caused by dirt and coat transfer, not by a manufacturing fault.
We must stress that such a level of ingrained grime after only a few days is not normal. BioThane® is a waterproof, hygienic material used worldwide for dog equipment — but, like any product, it requires occasional wiping down to keep it clean and in good condition. Our concern is not only that this basic cleaning was refused on several occasions, but that collars returned in this state raise questions over the general hygiene conditions in which the dog is being kept. As a company that takes dog welfare extremely seriously, this was concerning to see.
We stand by the safety, quality, and durability of our products, which are handmade in the UK and carefully finished. Thousands of dogs across the UK and abroad wear our collars daily without issue.
As a small, independent business we already face the everyday challenges and don't receive endless funding. Situations like this make it even harder, and we ask people to remember that shopping small means supporting a person who genuinely cares. We are deeply grateful to the hundreds of wonderful customers who show us kindness and trust every day — they are the reason we keep going and continue doing what we love.

Would highly recommend
Would highly recommend. I’ve ordered two biothane leads and collars, I loved the first one so much I got the same again in a different colour. They’re perfect for my mud, water, sand loving spaniel. They’re long lasting and so easy to clean. They also come in a range of beautiful colours. The team are great at answering any questions and dispatching very quickly. Thanks again

NOT FIT NOT PURPOSE !!!!
Very poor experience as a first time user of the company. I spent a substantial amount of money buying my two dogs an easy fit harness and lead, to the sum of nearly £160, the most I have ever spent on dog leads. My dogs are nearly 11 and these harnesses are the worst I have ever bought as they are not fit for purpose.
The harnesses came after much excitement and I couldn’t wait to try them out. I had measured my dogs prior to purchase and ensured I ordered the correct sizing. Shortly into the dog walk on first use both dog harnesses started coming loose where the buckle should keep it tight. I tightened up the harnesses and the same thing happened again, and again. I reached out to the company straight away, within a day, and I was told I couldn’t return them as I had used them. All I was offered is 20% off a new product - really?! So a product not fit for purpose couldn’t be returned but how was I to know how useless they were until using them? It’s not like I’d had them any length of time before complaining I reached out straight away. They are a huge safety hazard as they come so loose it’s unsafe. I have tried to persist but the same thing repeatedly happens and I am so on edge when using them.
I would not recomend this company as they charge high prices for products not fit for purpose that pose serious safety issues to pets - dog harnesses should NOT come loose as you walk. I strongly feel I should have been able to return the useless harnesses.

We are disappointed to read this review, particularly as the customer advised they would be providing evidence of their claims but, despite several weeks passing, nothing has ever been received. For the benefit of readers, we feel it is important to clarify the facts.
Firstly, the quoted spend of “nearly £160” was not just for two harnesses alone. This customer purchased a couple of custom design leads within the same order. Our harnesses are sold at standard market value and are in line with other UK handmade brands.
Following her complaint, we carried out repeated testing of the same harness style and fittings in-house, and found no issue with buckles loosening under normal use. Our conclusion remains that the harnesses supplied were purchased too large for her dogs, which would explain the slipping she described. Despite this, the harnesses were used multiple times after the complaint was raised, which made an exchange no longer possible for hygiene and safety reasons.
We take the safety of pets extremely seriously, which is why we test our products extensively and only use high-quality, durable materials. We have sold hundreds of Easy-Fit Harnesses without experiencing the problem described here. We are therefore confident that the items were not defective and that they remain safe and fit for purpose when purchased in the correct size.
While we regret that this customer feels dissatisfied, we stand by the quality and safety of our products, and we are grateful to the many customers who use our harnesses daily with complete confidence.
We had held off replying sooner, as we expected to receive the further evidence the customer mentioned at the time so we could look into this more closely. As nothing has been provided, we felt it was important to share our side here for clarity and reassurance to future customers.
Collar and leads set woodland
I love the items for my pooches and I totally understand the small business and personal touch. Would of loved the woodland characters along the lead and just not the handles especially for the price.

Awesome Collar!!!
I phoned Trinkety Paws first of all just to double check they could make what I wanted. From start to finish the customer service has been first class. I wanted to see some colour ways that I couldn’t see together on their socials and they kindly sent me some examples quickly. I did have an issue with Royal Mail posting the collar to the wrong address and Nadine did her best to help me and eventually 2 days later it arrive. This was no fault of Trinkety Paws, this was Royal Mail error. So finally received the collar today and I’m absolutely thrilled with it! It’s exactly what I wanted and imagined it would be. My parter is looking into ordering one for her Spaniel now she’s seen mine. So thank you very much Trinkety Paws 😃

Lead exactly what I requested
Lead exactly what I wanted. The only down side is the finish on the very end of the lead. This looks as though it was badly cut with scissors to 'round' the end off.
Apart from this, very happy with the product.

Very expensive for a collar even though…
Very expensive for a collar even though they are well made. £21 for a small collar is very expensive and other cheaper options are available. I thought I was getting a lead and collar set for that price but that wasn’t the case.

The product you purchased is listed as our Neon Splatter Biothane® Waterproof Dog Collar / Lead, with the specific item selected via the dropdown menu. You chose the collar only, and both the dropdown and product description explain that leads can be added separately in the same drop down menu.
While we understand that pricing is subjective, we respectfully stand by the value of our work. Every Splatter collar is crafted by hand here in the UK using premium waterproof BioThane®, with a unique multi-step painting and curing process that takes a minimum of 48 hours to complete.
This is not a mass-produced item, nor is it made with cheap off-the-shelf components. Cheaper collars may do exist — but not of this calibre, not with this design, and not made to order with the same level of craftsmanship.
We appreciate that handmade, artisan products aren’t the right fit for everyone. But we pour our skill, time, and care into every piece — and we’re proud of what we create.

Excellent leads and quick delivery - huge choice of colours
I have bought from Trinkety Paws before and always really pleased with the quality. Once again my 2 leads arrived quickly and were really lovely in quality and colour. The leads last for ever, I bought new ones as I got new harnesses and wanted leads to “match”, the colour choice is superb. These are better than fabric leads particularly in wet weather and are nicer in your hands, easy to clean.

Amazing experience from start to…
Amazing experience from start to finish. My mum and I met Nadine at ‘All about dog show - Newbury’ and she was lovely! Extremely knowledgable and super helpful. Helped me pick out my multi use lead, and talked me through the options for what I needed through the lead. I also asked about a custom lead attachment to be able to walk 2 dogs on the multi way lead, she made it for me and it’s perfect! I love it. She also made a beautiful custom lead for my mum to match the collar she had brought for her dog. Will continue to recommend Trinkety paws and Nadine 🐾 THANK YOU!
