Like other reviewers, I thought Kieran's advice and subsequent travel itinerary were spot on. So was the support and help from Lisette and other team members. We had a fantastic trip round the South Island of NZ and spent some time in Sydney and Melbourne, including trips to the Blue Mountains, the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians. A memorable holiday all round and I would certainly recommend Travel Essence to anyone wanting to plan a similar trip.

Travel Essence in New Zealand

We came across Kieran of Travel Essence at a show in Manchester. A stroke of luck. Travel Essence provide a excellent bespoke service and their back office team and processes are first class.

We told Kieran what we did and didn't want from the holiday and he mapped out a trip for us to chew over. We then sat down with him at his office and fine tuned everything. On the holiday itself we had a six fantastic weeks with wonderful variety and superb accommodation in guest houses, B&Bs & self catering.

We are very happy to recommend Travel Essence.

We had the holiday of a life time all organised by Travel Essence The planning was excellent and all went very smoothly
We were advised on what to do by Kieran his advice was spot on ref what to do what to see etc
He recommended a min of 2 to 3 night stays and that in its self was brilliant as the travelling between stop overs for only one night would not allow you to see all the sights plus you would be exhausted by constant driving ( although the roads are excellent )
I really wish we had gone for 8 weeks instead of 5 and had chosen some 4 night stops
All in all the holiday of a life time. If you are considering a trip to Aotearoa be sure to book with Travel Essence and have a chat to Keiran

Excellent communication from our initial contact at a travel show to our fantastic trip. Throughout the whole process we experienced excellent service. Kieran (our Travel Specialist) was very knowledgeable and put together an excellent package which met our criteria, and expectations.He gave us lots of hints and tips to enhance our stay. The trip ran very smoothly and exceeded all our expectations. The individual accommodation chosen for us was of a very high standard.

Kieran was great! So knowledgeable about south australia, where we wanted to visit, and made some great suggestions to get the best out of our trip. We contacted Travel Essence and had a chat with Kieran who advised us to attend one of his presentations about Australia. We were skeptical about this as we thought we knew where we wanted to go! We couldn't have been more wrong. The presentation was insightful and following a further discussion with Kieran we changed our plans and headed for an amazing trip to Sydney, Tasmania and Melbourne area.

I loved how Kieran listened to our likes and included excursions that met these interests including seeing wild Tasmania devils, seafood cruises and kayaking. We also had an amazing helicopter flight around the Grampians.

We did change our length of stay and it wasn't ever difficult for Travel Essence to oblige.

We are already planning a trip to NZ with them now.

Kieran spent well over 2 hours with us in our initial meeting planning an extensive 5 week tour of Australia. Then we tweaked the plan over a number of extra meetings. He added small but vital tips about where to stop for provisions and what to look out for. The whole trip was meticulously planned and the excursions well worth doing. The helicopter trip in the Barossa especially. He could not have been more helpful or well-informed.

My wife and I spent a glorious month touring New Zealand in November. If we could we would give them 4.5 stars. There were some small hiccups but all in all a trip of a lifetime.

Travel Essence provided an excellent, in fact, faultless service for me on my recent trip to New Zealand. They were careful to find out exactly what I was interested in first and tailored the trip to my tastes perfectly. The accommodations were all excellent, all rather individual in their way with attention to detail which I really appreciate. Travel Essence were also very helpful in discussing the finer points of my trip, advising me of places to go to and ensuring the trip wasn't too crammed so I had time to see places properly rather than just drive through them. I would thoroughly recommend them.

We wanted to do a 4 week tour of South and Western Australia, starting and finishing in Perth so that we could fly non stop from Heathrow. We had an initial meeting with Ilona where we outlined our ideas. Ilona then took those ideas and enhanced them by suggesting several locations that were not on our radar. She came up with a fantastic mix of hotels, B&Bs and self catering accommodation. Everywhere we stayed was wonderful and offered something different. Wonderful sea views, Kangaroos and Wallabies having breakfast within 30m of our patio and in the Interior we had night skies which took your breath away. She incorporated some great organised trips during some of our stays. Everything worked like clockwork and we had a fantastic holiday. We would recommend TravelEssence for your holiday of a lifetime in Australia.

Travel Essence organised a bespoke 10 week holiday for us incorporating a tour of New Zealand and time spent with family. Their attention to detail was second to none. We even had an email prior to our departure which informed us of local road closures that would possibly affect us when travelling from one destination to the next and were able to suggest alternative routes.
We stayed in a variety of local B&Bs plus self catering accommodation in both South and North Island. All of which were to a very high standard with hosts that were both friendly and informative about the area we were visiting They also arranged excursions that enhanced our experience of the country.
We cannot speak highly enough of this company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and indeed use their services again

Travel Essence helped us to plan and organise a 7 week trip to Australia. We wanted the flexibility to visit family in Melbourne, holiday together in Queensland and continue exploring as a couple in other parts of Australia. The suggestions were great, including a mix of B&B and self catering accommodation in places that we would not have considered. We also had a number of day trips booked which really enhanced the experience providing insights into the history, culture and wildlife.
Their detailed local knowledge, positive relationships with suppliers, and good communication with us, in the UK by phone and email and in Australia by email, made the whole experience run smoothly and stress free.
As the company had only recently started to trade in the UK I was not sure what to expect, but I need not have worried. They have been working successfully in other European countries and have high levels of customer service.

We were very pleased with TravelEssence who organised our recent month long holiday to New Zealand.
We were impressed that the holiday was tailor made to our wishes as we had previously visited New Zealand on a cruise and didn’t want to go to places that we had already visited.
It was suggested that we stay in bespoke B&Bs & use a SUV car rather than a motor home as we would meet the locals & get advice on places to visit & local restaurants.
We also stayed in a couple of hotels, one of which had laundry facilities which was ideal. We stayed in some superb accommodations with our own private space & met some lovely hosts who went over and above what we expected. We do not normally stay in B&Bs but we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in places for 3 or 4 nights. This gave us time to explore & the choice of accommodation was ideal.
We discussed TravelEssence as a tour company on several occasions where we stayed. The hosts all made very positive comments regarding their association with the Company.
We were advised to book Premium Economy Flights & book a stopover airport hotel at Singapore. This was an excellent plan as we arrived in Christchurch with virtually no jet lag.
We also liked the way car hire was tailored to where we visited, ie we did not need a car in Christchurch, Wellington & Auckland.
Travelessence kept us up to date with road closures & itinerary changes by email.
We had an amazing, well organised holiday to celebrate a special anniversary.
