We had a really wonderful time in Australia and are very grateful to Luke and the team at TravelEssence for organising such an amazing trip for us. All the travel, accommodation and trips were first class.

We really felt the benefit of the specialist knowledge in some of the quirkier places we stayed - a wooden round house in the middle of the Daintree with our own private watering hole, a tree house looking down over the the canopy of the rain forest in Atherton Tablelands, and my favourite - a simply stunning beach hut with the front garden opening directly on to Four Mile Beach at Port Douglas. Just wow!

All the activities were with small companies so there were limited numbers of other travellers and therefore a much more enjoyable, personalised experience for us. It really was the once-in-a-lifetime trip we were hoping for. Many heartfelt thanks.

Just wow. What an absolutely amazing trip. We have just returned from 30 days in Australia, a trip organised for us by Kieran and the Travel Essence Team and a trip of a lifetime for our family.

From the very first contact , an email from us , expressing interest in a potential trip, to the email from after our return, checking how we’d got on, the support has been excellent.

Kieran took time to find out about our family, what we are interested in and enjoy doing , and produced a suggested itinerary. Further meetings allowed us to discuss and make minor adjustments according to our wishes . We were kept up to date with the booking process throughout and the team answered any queries immediately. 

The trip itself was amazing, more than we could have ever imagined or hoped for. A range of types of accommodations with great hosts, with the opportunity to find out from the hosts local information and advice on the best places to explore.

The trips/tours were incredible. It has been hard to say which was ‘the best’ as they were all unique and allowed us to experience what Australia can offer in many different ways. The opportunity to learn about/from the indigenous community was  a highlight and one of the best things about the whole trip. 

We would highly recommend booking with Travel Essence and  have already let friends and colleagues know about you.

A great itinerary which matched our requirements and the team at TravelEssence UK took the time to understand and take care of us. They even kept an eye on us when a Brisbane's first cyclone in 50yrs came by! The bespoke, boutique (almost quirky) accommodation were superb...all different but always with great hosts. There's no way you could arrange a compilcated, stress-free trip like this without their knowledge and I doubt anyone could do it better.

Luke spent lots of time with us suggesting an itinerary for our 5 weeks trip to Australia and then flexing this on a number of occasions following our various comments.
His advice and suggestions were invaluable whilst he was patient and helpful in creating what we believe will hopefully be a perfect trip for us.

We discovered TravelEssence at the Travel show at Olympia when we were specifically looking for a specialist in Australia.
I liked the fact that they have an office in London so we could actually sit down with Kieran and talk through what sort of trip we were looking for. He grasped our requirements perfectly but was also open to our own suggestions and after a few tweaks here and there we had the perfect itinerary.
The highlight was the Venture North expedition to West Arnhem land and Cobourg peninsula which was unforgettable and which I don’t think we would have known about if we had just done our own itinerary.

TravelEssence were an absolutely fantastic company to work with for our trip to Australia. From the initial call with Kieron where we talked through our wants and interests for the trip, the customer service was perfect. They found us some amazing excursions with local people that we probably wouldn’t have considered without them, but were the most enjoyable parts of our trip. They were also still available to help even when we were on holiday. The companies that we were with also spoke highly of them, which is always a good sign! They put together a lovely proposal for our trip before we committed so we knew exactly what to expect. I would have no hesitation in recommending Travel Essence and would definitely look to them next time we want to visit Australia or New Zealand.

From start to finish we felt at ease with the whole process, Luke was genuinely interested in us an older couple going to Australia for ten weeks and tailor made our trip based on our wants and capabilities. He took time to listen to us resulting in a comfortable feel about such a long trip covering thousands of kilometres at a pace we could enjoy.
Any minor issues were quickly addressed and we were kept informed throughout. There was even a "debrief" at the end of the holiday to take any observations on board.
Would we use TravelEssence again? ABSOLUTELY

We spent 7 weeks in Australia which was all organised by Travel Essence. The whole experience from start to finish was faultless. The detailed itinerary fulfilled and exceeded our expectations. We visited some wonderful places with excellent accommodation. We would thoroughly recommend this company, their knowledge and experience of Australia made all the difference and Kieran and the rest of the team ensure a hassle free trip with life time memories.

Wow, what a trip we had! We traveled for 6 weeks through NZ with a stop over in Singapore. Well organised by TravelEssense. At the start of our planning we spoke to Kieran and met with him in his office. He really took the time to find out what we wanted to see and do and got us a bespoke itinery with great and different accomodations (i.e. a silo stay 😀) Everything went smoothly and we honestly did not have one bad day. It was also nice to hear from other travelers we met, who travelled with TE, that they were equally happy with TE. Also the host were pleased to work with them, which was nice to hear as well.
We also felt we had good value for money!
So a big thank you to Kieran for planning and Lisette, who I think did all the bookings and was equally good to communicate with. Always a prompt reply to our emails and very friendly.
So, thank you for making this holiday into a trip of a lifetime! We can highly recommend TravelEssense.

Wow what an amazing trip we had to New Zealand arranged by Travel Essence and in particular Kieran. Kieran is brilliant and a font of knowledge for all things NZ. He listened carefully to what we wanted our trip to be about and tailored just the perfect itinerary to suit our particular needs and wishes. He knew all the best places to visit and arranged the most stunning, unique and boutique accommodation allowing us to experience authentic NZ as the locals do, which was really important to us.
We would 100% recommended Kieran and Travel Essence for all things NZ and Australia so if you’re thinking about your visit, you must speak to Kieran, you’ll be glad you did!

What a magnificent time we had in New Zealand. In particular we would like to say thank you to Kieran for his expertise and the fact that he understood perfectly the particular type of holiday we would enjoy and delivered accordingly. You may also like to know that other travellers we met who were travelling with TE were without fail equally delighted with the service they had received. Perhaps more importantly all the accommodation providers really enjoyed working with TE and I am sure this was reflected in the service we received.

Travel Essence organised our recent trip to New Zealand (via Singapore) and the service we received from our first enquiry through to the end of our holiday, was exceptional.
Kieran took time to meet with us to find out the sort of places we liked to stay and the sort of things we like to do and came up with an itinerary that enabled us to see a lot of both South and North Islands and to undertake a lot of activities, some outside our normal comfort range, including sailing, kayaking, caving and wine tours. We stayed in yurts, hotels, wonderful B&B's, a castle and an off-grid eco home and all were great.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday to NZ’s South Island with a stop over in Singapore. We are not regular or long distance travellers and were nervous of planning such a big trip ourselves.

We have just returned from a trip to Australia via Hong Kong on the way out and Fiji on the way home. From start to finish, the team at Travel Essence listened to us and definitely seemed to understand what we wanted to achieve. They were great at accommodating the little quirks on our itinerary too!
I had a couple of quotes from other companies but had a comfortable feeling about the personal service from Travel Essence which swayed me towards using them.
We haven’t regretted this decision. Our trip was amazing and the support was there at any point if needed, which it wasn’t!

Our recent 2 ½ week tour of New Zealand’s South Island, organized by TravelEssence, was a great success. From the first consultation to the final day of our journey, the entire experience was well-planned, and tailored perfectly to our preferences.

However, our concerns were quickly addressed, and they accommodated our staged payment requests. Thankfully, everything went smoothly - a true testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction.

We used TravelEssence to plan our 2 month trip to New Zealand and had a wonderful holiday as a result. The key to their success for us was the attention to detail and especially the way Kieran spent time with us to understand what our interests were and the kind of holiday we wanted. The process of proposing an itinerary and adjusting and improving it based on our feedback was extremely beneficial as was Kieran's own experience of the places we would be visiting and the tours and experiences TravelEssence arranged for us. The back office was also very responsive and helpful - we only had one minor issue while we were away and that was quickly resolved despite the 13 hour time different (and it was our fault in the first place!). Since we've returned they are still interested to hear from us so they can add our feedback into their info base and ensure it's used for future customers so they get the best experience too. We can't recommend TravelEssence highly enough.
