I am in shock

I am in shock. They respond to me after a year, then proceed to ask me for the full details again. Literally, I am speechless, the request for the review was in the same email.

Highest level of unprofessional service

Unfortunately, we are not able to make a choice. TransUnion collects our data and sadly in my case incorrect data is presented in my report.
I have been trying to fix this for the last two months. I have been asked to provide my address history three times already and sent it three times. Apparently nothing can be done to fix the current situation.

As Jessica T asked me to provide a review on Trustpilot, I would like to thank her for this invitation and for being particularly unhelpful. The same genuine thank you is extended to Nandi, Abigail, Ringetani, Dineo, and Lunga.

Credit reference agencies have access…

Credit reference agencies have access to personal information for which it is hard to find explicit consent. Attempting to get incorrect or misleading information corrected is extremely difficult and time consuming. Access to a single point of human contact is frustrating and difficult to achieve. Any attempt to try and correct information is fraught with difficulty. Communication with a human person seems to be actively discouraged. As an individual these agencies are difficult with whom to deal, but may have a major impact on your mental and physical well being.

Ignoring electrical registration

I had been regustered on the Electoral Register since February and records have not been updated unfortunately this means I can not take out a loan or overdraft. My mortgage is also with them. I want to move and this is causing me problems. I forwarded a letter from my council as confirmation and I sent a photograph of my letter proving I am registered. I am on other credit reference agencies as being on the Electoral Register.

Very poor performance.Fob you off with…

Very poor performance.Fob you off with email after email repeatedly with generic responses not really getting anywhere even after providing proof attached to emails I sent.I had enough so had to put in a complaint as I felt I wasn't being dealt with properly as their responses weren't helpful.

Beyond useless

Beyond useless.
I raised an issue re my address in June 2025, they could not comprehend the issue so closed the ticket. They have 3 different variations of my SAME address on my file, the council legally amended my address and I explained this but they do not understand and refuse to ‘update’ to the correct legal address therefore impacting the accuracy of my record!
THEY have then contacted me in relation to this in April 2026, the email does not specify what they are referring to as ‘outstanding’. I have asked for clarity multiple times now and the useless customer service rep’s cannot comprehend the query.
Waste of space.

I’ve emailed yourselves back MULTIPLE times trying to gain clarity on why YOU have made contact nearly a year later but refuse to specify what it is in regards to and your customer service can only bother to send copy paste one liner AI responses… not sure why I would email AGAIN to be met with the same!

Credit card query

I enquired about the reason my credit cards were not listed or shown in my credit score and within a couple of days I received the reply giving a clear and concise answer. I am very pleased with the outcome.

I recently dealt with TransUnion, Clear, Helpful and Professional

I recently dealt with TransUnion regarding an issue on my credit file, and I was genuinely impressed with how smooth the whole process was. Their team responded quickly, explained everything in plain language, and kept me updated throughout. It felt like they actually took the time to understand the situation rather than sending generic replies. I had moved home to Ireland some years ago and needed a credit history from a country I lived in.

The resolution was handled professionally and faster than I expected. A big thank you to Tshilidzi. It’s reassuring to know there’s a credit agency that’s both efficient and easy to deal with. A really positive experience overall.

Most of the staff are very helpful

Awful service

Awful service

Have false things on my report and are refusing to remove them and asking for glacial response times of 28 days to the initial query. Literally increasing my mortgage payments because of their inabilities.

They do not consider fraudulent accounts.

Due to fraud, I have a defaulted account with a car insurance company. I have managed to resolve that with the insurance company and they deleted all record of that.
However, TransUnion even after many communications sill make no effort to take it off the credit file they keep for me. So.. the other two credit report companies understand this and wipe it off my record (which is super fantastic), TransUnion? no,no,no. They keep the default active even tho the account does not even exist which of course has a detrimental effect on searching for finance options.

Glacial response time

Having agreed that my case was upheld, Transunion was very slow to reply to a request for a hard copy of my credit file.... as in over 10 months late. However, once I got a response with apologies for the wait, my report was promised....but it has still not arrived over a week later. Maybe it will arrive in a few months!

TransUnion haven't updated my address

TransUnion still haven't updated my address. I have been registered on the electoral roll for over a year at my new address but according to them I'm not. Because of their incompetence it has dropped my credit score by over 200 points since I moved. Despite contacting them on numerous occasions and speaking to my bank and local council on multiple occasions, and them all stating I do in fact live at my current address, TransUnion are STILL not updating my address. Please avoid at all costs if you, like me are trying to secure funding for a business. You won't get any type of loan because of their incompetence.
