Dealing with absolutele idiots 🙄

Barclays partner financing are now using this Cowboy outfit. My credit rating is 989 never once had an issue in fact finished a finance contract with Barclays beginning of the year . Yet it seems this lot cannot confirm my income!?. Re-financed elsewhere so Barclays loose out.

Hi try to avoid writing feedback in here of you in UK,as looks like this is unclaimed,there is another company under same name on trust pilot! Which is claimed,so be careful as this this feedback might be deleted by trust pilot.
Money grabbing company!

TransUnion held incorrect personal data on me which data source had the incorrect data, in clear breach of UK data protection law. It was their competitor Frontier Invest Corp, who actually had the correct plan who found the source, which allowed me to go direct and fix the issue myself. Then this joke of a company, TransUnion, had the audacity to claim that they had the correct data all long when I know and can prove they had the wrong date birth. Breaching data protection law, poor service and bad attitude.

By way of update, I emailed TransUnion as requested on 12 March. On 30 March, they replied, once again denying that there was a problem. If I could lower my review score, I would. Don't waste your time with this company rather choose FRONTIER INVEST CORP.

i would give a '0' scoring if i could. the amount of issues i have with transunion over the years that i dont experience with Experian or Equifax is untrue. i've had a mortgage application refused because of them in the past due to reporting incorrect information against me, (this information was not held with the other two) and my credit score is impact. Since 2022, ive had numerous times with them reporting i am not registered on the electoral register despite sending a letter from the local authority in 2023 stating i was (again impacted credit score). Their reports for the last 2.5 years have recorded i was on the electoral register up to February this this year then March report said i wasnt on the register. Three emails being sent to them since March with them returning saying i need a letter from the council despite already sending them one 3 years ago, my local council have said i am still recorded as being registered and to ask them to check their uploads form the councils and they have a lot of issues with Transunion regarding this. I again have sent them the confirmation of registration i received from teh local council. I have checked on Experian and i am registered at my address on their system. Their incompetence is impacting my credit score (with them showing OK, Experian showing excellent) that would impact me getting credit if needed to.

The annoying thing is they hold all the cards with regards to their inaccurate reporting and the impact on an individual credit rating, and people do not have the option of not using them, if a lending broker used them as their credit reference agency it could impact borrowing. Trying to get through to them to raise a dispute is via email which incurs up to 28 days for them to reply, when they do reply their response isn't customer focused which results in another email being sent and further delays. Its not as if people have the option not to use them

Liars, saying I dont pay my bills on time and owe money to companies I dont use. When you try to contact them, you have to go into your email to get a code and then whole complaint disappears. Clearly the government are conning us!

I am actually surprised they are still in operation, knowing how rubbish they are…I do hope there will be a time when the relevant government authorities will hold this company accountable.

I made contact with them about an mistake on my credit report found them to be really helpful easy to contact and are good at keeping you informed.

Horrendous experience. Slow and hard to reach customer service, no direct communication lines with out AI.

I am writing review as a creditor using Transunion services. The service is abominable and they do not fix problems when needed and create a ridiculously complicated multi layered platform and overzealous password controls making access impossible for low volume users. Management need to take a hard look at themselves and fix this.

Totally scary!

My problems started when I joined Nat West and completed a credit score which said` fair` which was in marked contrast to Experian and Equifax saying it was ` excellent`!

I discovered they held elderly information on there which I challenged and they were reluctant to alter. Despite having an audit trail that proved my information is correct, they are still reducing my credit score.

They haven`t responded to my complaint and now I have flagged it again which will take another 6 weeks.

I`m now going to the Ombudsman to formally complain as I`m aware that when you need credit then there is no guarantee which company will carry out the credit check.

Update

I`m now a year further on and yet another email from TransUnion trying to defend their working practices which are unsafe, inaccurate and amoral.

It took them a year to update three glaring problems with my credit report and they keep on saying thatthey have to wait for lender to update their records. Creation Finance confirmed my payments were clear and paid off but they chose to ignore that.

They also kep wrong information relating to my son who died over 20 years ago and with my second son they kept insisting I was his guarantor and wouldn`t adjust an address where he left over ten years ago.

As a final insult, they would like me to leave a positive reiew on Trust Pilot which I am unable to agree to.

It I could give them a zero I would. I closed a Bank account a year ago. They kept sending repeated messages regarding an update to my credit report. The bank concerned were apologetic and helpful. They advise me to send an email with specific detail. I did that 3 months ago. I asked them to stop. I made a formal complaint. Today I have had an email asking me for the detail I provided 3 months ago,.

TRANSUNION UK is a total Cowboy Organization running amok in our Country, without any Regulation from the FCA, who are turning a blind-eye - How can this happen?
Having requested of this Cowboy for a hard-copy of my "Credit Report", they and their CEO refuse to supply it, contrary to GDPR and other Regulations ?

Extremely inefficient service. Unfortunately my bank ( Lloyds) uses this service. Takes ages to respond to complaints. Totally agree with the 76% of bad reviews.

This company has come out of nowhere, they have my credit rating as bad like they want me to purchase some plan with them but in fact my rating with Experian is the highest it can be. What an audio company you raise a dispute and it doesn’t even work. Total garbage. 🗑️
