Terrible experience with this company
Terrible experience with this company. The communication (or lack thereof) and customer service was awful.
Ordered several boxes of tiles months in advance. One type was discovered to be missing by our plumber and only delivered in time as our plumber pulled some strings with the courier.
Then another type of tile was found to be missing. Told it would be delivered several times but wasnt. We were on a deadline with the tiler so eventually were told a staff member would deliver it personally after work and that didn’t happen/we weren’t told they wern’t coming.
Assured would be delivered first thing Monday morning. Morning came and went with no delivery. Husband ended up having to collect them himself. No apologies given at all.
Staff could do with customer service training.

Excellent customer service, responding very promptly and very helpfully, offering immediately to replace items damaged in transit, a problem the responsibility of 3rd party carrier, not of the Wooden Floor Store. Top marks!

Excellent product and excellent service
Really good staff who helped me choose the right flooring and the right fitter. We used Hugo and together they sorted out delivery, which isn't easy to my house, and were very accommodating. Hugo was brilliant and did an excellent job.

Great service, competitive prices, great customer service and excellent fitter. This is the second time I have bought from them. Had living room and hall in herringbone oak done then recently my dining area. Would recommend.

Had a order one of the items was damaged unfortunately. But here it gets interesting.... got in touch with customer service (every single minute someone is there to answer your question ) send a pic with damaged item after 5 min I've got a e-mail ....
Replacement or refund....that's next level . Looking forward to work with them again . Best experience.

As a response to their response:
Only one step was incorrect colour, but i still received half of the order.
As for the chat, you can see i asked for delivery and not collection(after he confirmed there is no stock). More than happy to post the screenshot of your agent leaving the chat after i've provided evidence of the misleading "Same day delivery".
I’ve had two bad experiences with The Wooden Floor Store, and I won’t be returning.
On my first order, they:
Sent the wrong item
Delivered only half the order
Took 4 days to acknowledge the mistake
Took another week to deliver the rest
I had planned the installation for the weekend, instead, I lost 2 weeks and had to reschedule everything. All I got was a casual “sorry, our bad.”
When I needed just one more stair step to finish the job, I placed a second order. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but I noticed their site claims “same day delivery” as a selling point. Turns out? That doesn’t exist unless you're next to a depot. The agent, Thomas, admitted this in chat, then ended the conversation when I showed him proof of the claim after he asked me to. When I offered to collect it myself, I was told I’d have to wait until the store “decides” to order that item in.
Also, they wanted £45 delivery for a single step.
The website promises speed, flexibility, and professionalism. My experience was slow, rigid, and dismissive.
Avoid if you value your time or truth in advertising.

Thank you for your message and for bringing these matters to our attention. I’ve reviewed both your initial order and your request from today, and I’d like to offer some clarity and support.
Regarding your first order, we received your notification on Friday, 18th July at 8:16pm about one of the 13 steps being the incorrect colour. As our office was closed over the weekend, we weren’t able to respond until Monday morning at 10:36am. We truly appreciate your patience during that time. Once we confirmed the error, we arranged for the correct item to be delivered on Friday to accommodate your work schedule, and I’m glad we were able to get that resolved.
As for today’s live chat, I understand your request for a same-day collection from a store. I completely appreciate how important timely access to materials can be, especially when coordinating work. The store you selected doesn’t carry stock on-site, and while some of our main warehouses can facilitate same-day collections, store collections typically take a few days to a week due to how stock is grouped and dispatched.
We also provided an option for direct delivery of the additional step, which could still be arranged for this Friday if the order is placed today or by tomorrow morning at the latest. I noticed you had left the chat before we could confirm this, so I wanted to make sure you had that information.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like us to proceed with the delivery or if there’s anything else we can do to support you. We’re here to help and want to ensure everything runs smoothly for you.
Further update Paul, we received your order for the extra step on Wednesday night, and despite no reply to our email to book delivery, you can see the step arrived this morning.

Can’t fault the wooden floor store. Joe in Falkirk was amazing from start to finish.. great price and first class product….but let’s leave the best for last… the two fitters Peter and Euan were absolute .. ‘artiste’s… the herringbone walnut they laid was a work of art and is admired by everyone. The skill they showed and care they gave to the floor and our home was amazing. Thank you so much. You have given us something we can admire for years!
