I purchased maggots and worms from the tackle tavern a number of times in the past and on2 of the most recent purchases I have had reason to complain due to short measures. On the first occasion Cameron the shop manager assured me it was because of the size of the bait box used for measuring being undersized, by my measurements it was only 3/4 of a pint. He told me the issue would be resolved and wouldn't happen again. A few weeks later exactly the same thing, emailed the shop, the reply implied that the issue had not been resolved, but I was assured that it would be dealt with and if I'd like to pop in the shop I would be looked after, nothing happen no discount no apology. Now here we are again maggot and worm time, 3 pints of maggots and 2 tubs of worm at £4 each purchased today. Get home to find that the maggots look like they haven't been cleaned of, loads of skins and dark brown sawdust. Once I cleaned them off through a pinkies riddle they appear to be at least 2 weeks old and there were only 2 pints. As for the worms I opened both tubs to find 9 in one pot and 11 in the other. Now I know that I cant be the only one who is being ripped off big time by this bunch of cowboys. People don't buy you bait from here it's total shite and your only getting 3/4 of what you pay for, and on top of that they managed to overcharge me by £4.00.
Tackle tavern are an absolute joke.

Bad service orderd a Nash moon chair what was up for close to retail value described as good condition .
Upon arrival I found it is scratched all over ripped and dryer up bait in chair pocket and legs also coverd in mud .
No help with customer service just a rude reply

I received the landing net pole a few days ago. A very quick dispatch and delivery.
It was delivered In a plastic tube, which helps to protect it from rough handling when in transit.
The only problem that I had with, was the butt bung was so tight, it took a few minutes of twisting to get it off.
I now put a little oil in the bung which helps. My other problem was the top section was jammed in the middle section. Had to use a large screwdriver and small hammer to gently tap the top section.
In no way was the fault of the product or the shop (seller), possibly due to transit.
Used it the other day, it perfect for my silver fishing.

Brought an Avid Exo + back in January, developed a fault that was covered under warranty.
Nick has dealt with me so quickly, efficiently and effectively, that upon requirements being met, I had a brand new one turn up within a day and half.

Excellent, efficient service. Actually too quick to process order because I failed to notice the online order system had reverted to my old address and thus the DPD delivery was sent out to the wrong place. The nice folks at the Tackle Tavern were exceptionally quick to respond to my email however, and managed what few others can do in getting DPD to change delivery address. I still received my new landing net only 2 days after placing the order.

Used them twice now. Had an issue with the second delivery with a missing item but it was quickly sorted out by Nick. Very easy to deal with and quick process to sort. Would use again no problems

Received 15ft Drennan Acolyte Ultra fishing rod. Used but practically new condition, very pleased with purchase, fast delivery, well packaged.

I ordered a two piece Daiwa landing net. A one piece arrived. I actually preferred the one piece when i saw it but it was a little less than the one piece so i contacted customer support. The reply was very fast and the reimbursement rapid too. Mistakes happen, it's how you deal with them. These guys were excellent. Thank you Nick and the team.

This is the first time I have used Thetackletavern, and it will not be the last.
I had a supply and delivery issue 'WHICH WAS ENTIRELY MY FAULT', and they went above and beyond to ensure 'MY ERROR' was dealt with at no cost to me. Their politeness on both phone and email was exemplary, and it took away all the stress I was experiencing through my mistake.

Ordered on Thursday received on Saturday, large Diawa tournament pole case. Absolutely great service, kept me informed right from putting the order in. What's not to like about this great service.
