Purchase of freehold by leaseholder
Iris Plaut was extremely helpful in answering my questions about the process involved in purchasing the freehold for a leasehold apartment and potentially offering a way forward. We have struggled to find anyone who will advise us given the size of the project (too small for the big firms of solicitors and seemingly too complicated for the local firms).

A Trusted Guide for a Complex Process
After years of trying to buy the freehold for our block of 32 flats, we can finally see a clear path forward, and it's all thanks to The Freehold Collective. The team has been a trusted guide, holding our hand and answering every question we've had along the way.

The Freehold Collective's Excellent Help & Advice
Mike phoned me back, much sooner than I expected.
He listened to everything I had to say.
He repeated it all back to me, to confirm he had fully understood my situation.
He explained his view of the legal situation and gave his constructive advice about trying to avoid going down the legal route.
He provided excellent advice of how he felt it was best to take things forward, giving a very clear plan. He later backed this up with an e-mail defining the situation and documenting his recommended plan going forward.
Mike strongly recommended I and the other party resolve the situation amicably simply between us and gave good advice about how to do so.
He also offered that he could mediate between us if it became necessary and provided a budget figure for this service.
I make it clear that he did not recommend this but just offered it as a back up if our own mediation failed.
All in, I was very happy with his legal advice and impressed with his suggested logical structured approach to the negotiations.
I would strongly recommend The Freehold Collective to others.

Tricky problems, but clear, detailed and considered advice given.
I had some complex issues to discuss with Robert and very much appreciated the time and thought he gave to my conundrum. Although the answers were not as reassuring as I hoped, I do now have a robust plan, and look forward to eventually detaching myself from the claws of my freeholder, when the legislative situation moves further in my favour (fingers crossed).
